HOWELL'S CARPET

Choosing the flooring was no small feat, but Howell's gave great recommendations and suggestions. We appreciated that they let us keep their samples for so long in order to insure we made the right choice. Installers were punctual and neat. They moved furniture and tore out all old material. The bathroom stools were re-set and a bathroom was left functional at all times. The bathrooms were put in one day and the carpet in the master the second day. The carpet in the bedroom was a challenge and the installer did not like the first matching of the colors and tore out and replaced to make an excellent seam (seam could not be helped due to the difficult shape and odd size of the room). They worked through this problem easily. This is the second time we had them work at our house and I would recommend them highly. Great price and quick, quality installation.

We had a great experience buying carpet from Howell's. We picked it out in their showroom and they scheduled the installation. We paid half down at the time of scheduling and the balance after the job was compete. The installers arrived promptly. We put new, office-type carpet in the downstairs of our split-foyer home. They removed the old carpet. A number of areas in the concrete floor were cracked and not level. They filled those cracks for us and even went to get floor leveling compound and did that for us at just a nominal additional cost. They installed the carpet and did a very professional job. It looks fantastic and they cleaned up, even vacuuming the carpet for us! We could not give them a better recommendation!

When the older Mr. Howell came to stretch our carpets he was very friendly and did a great job. That's why we decided to give them our business again. It was the son who serviced us this time. He actually cussed my husband out one day one the phone because he had called him to ask WHEN we were going to get our flooring put in. I called his father and complained and we did get an apology from the kid. They sent two different men out to lay the vinyl and one to do the floor. The guy who put our vinyl in did NOT glue it down next to the bathtub in the b/r upstairs, nor did he glue it down under the sink cabinet in the master bathroom. It's plainly visible, it's not like it's inside the cabinet. The guy who laid the laminate in the kitchen put on trim that did NOT match the flooring in color in any way. I called and complained and got that fixed, but not the bathroom floors! When we bought the laminate, the kid (younger Howell) told us how durable it is and how wonderful it is in kitchens. Now we need new laminate due to some water damage. I called them just to check costs and he said, "Oh you NEVER want to put laminate in the kitchen because it's too easy to get water damaged." I swear to God he said it. We will NEVER use Howell's again. We don't trust them and the people that they hire to install their stuff aren't very good.

They did an excellent job. I worked with Jay and had excellent service and he was very cooperative.
