I just did
Description of Work: After calling several times to get them to come to my home to give me an estimate to repair my air conditioner, the man finally showed up with the attitude that since I didn't know anything, he could tell me anything he wanted to and I would beleive him. Instead of actually looking at the equipment, he had me flip the circiut breaker on, and when the interior unit came on, he was done with me. He did not check the outer unit at all (if he had, he would have discovered that the motor was frozen up and not running). He then proceeded to humiliate me by telling me that I didn't know anything and my air condidtioner was fine. It was still not putting out cold or even cool air. To give him credit, when I ask him how much I owed him, he said to just get him a 12 pack of coke. The next day when the machine was still not working, I called again to have them come fix my air conditioner, but they blew me off. After almost a week of them still not re-showing up at my home, I got tired of waiting and called somebody else. I will never use this company again and would not recommend them to anyone.

Response from Energy Air
In response to [member name removed] comments of Energy Air, being the owner of Energy Air, I feel the public should be aware of several things. Mrs. [member name removed] original phone call to us was to obtain a free estimate for repair. At the time of her initial request, she was informed that Energy Air did not do free estimates on repairs or work on mobile homes. During our initial conversation with Mrs. [member name removed] , she asked what the price of a service call is, then she repeatedly informed us that she works for the Salvation Army & had no money. Those comments were repeated to us at least 4 times & no less than 10 times. My first visit to Mrs. [member name removed] home she would not know what my attitude was, since SHE did not keep the appointment. At that point I put a note on her door asking her to call the office the next day. No repairs & no diagnostics were performed at this visit. The next day when Mrs. [member name removed] called her attitude was "I did not authorize any repairs & I have no intentions of paying for any repairs." At that point I informed Mrs. [member name removed] that I only put a note on her door. I then made arrangements with her to visit her home the next day & since she continually informed me of her financial situation, I told her there would be no fee for me coming out if it was just a minor fix & could be repaired in just a few minutes.Once I arrived, I learned there was no power to the outdoor unit. After Mrs. [member name removed] spent 20 minutes moving dirty laundry, & garbage from her utility room I was able to turn the power back on to her unit. Once the unit came on & ran and appeared to be working, I left the decision to continue up to Mrs. [member name removed]. Mrs. [member name removed] is correct by stating I did not look at her outdoor unit, based on Mrs. [member name removed] decision. I did ask Mrs. [member name removed] if I could look at her thermostat & once again it required her to move refuge to make a path to her thermostat. Once I entered the living room area, I did notice Mrs. [member name removed] recycles based on the estimate of 10,000 soda cans. At this point she removed a shoe & put her foot on a floor vent & informed me of how well it was cooling. My intention at this visit was not to ask her for money. At this point, she asked repeatedly how much money she owed me, the only thing I could think of at this time looking at the soda cans, I asked her to bring me some Coke someday when she had time. She is correct that she did call back & what she is not telling is, the weather for over a week did not allow us to work outdoors for her & some of our other customers. What Energy Air learned from Mrs. [member name removed] is, when a customer calls, & repeatedly tells you that they have no money, would like a free estimate on repairs & I work for the Salvation Army & I'm not authorizing anything, that there are some customers that will not let you help them & we will proceed with caution.

On Oct. 4th, I contacted the company, explained what I needed done. I was given an appt. 10/11/012 @10a. I called the office at 12-ish to see if anyone was coming. Talked to someone that checked around the office {found I had made an appt.} stated he was in the office and heard the appt. being made. Apparently, there was no work order in the "workorder" tray for me, so it was overlooked. Someone came the next day on time; looked at my system {but not all of the vent connections; cause I need vent work} gave me assurance they could help me after he asked how much money I'm looking to spend. I had to call them a few days later, and ask about the estimate. He stated they are sent out in the mail. A week later I received a nice hard copy {n the mail} proposal well over $1,500 more than I wanted to spend. The proposal was for installation of a new HVAC. This is NOT what I expected! This house is only 6 yrs. old!! It was a foreclosure, and it appears the flex vents are not connected as they should be. I could probably benefit from a HVAC, but not now. I was alittle taken a back because we talked extensively about what I wanted to have done. I was assured the flex vents could be connected correctly. On well.
Description of Work: No services performed, estimate only, to make sure that all of the flex vents are connected to make sure that there is airflow from each and every vent in the house. The family room and bath received very little airflow.

I turned my heat on, and nothing happened. I did all the necessary things a home owner should do, replaced the batteries in the programmable thermostat, changed the filter in the furnace, checked the vent pipe for critters, nothing. I called, and within a couple of hours, had service at my house. Turns out, a board went bad in the furnace (parts under warranty). New one was installed within 24 hours (He didn't have that particular board on the truck, and it was mild out, so I told him he could do it tomorrow if he wanted). Quick service, friendly people, absolutely no hassle.
Description of Work: Troubleshooting furnace for issue, found board was faulty, was replaced within 24 hours.

I called Mike at ENERGY AIR because I was not having satisfactory results from my home warranty company. Mike came out and did some checking of sensors and connections. Within 20 minutes he had my furnace running flawlessly. My heating unit was made in 1992. I will be replacing it prior to next Winter, and Mike at Energy Air is the person I want to install it. He is extremely competent and knowledgeable about the units he services.
Description of Work: Troubleshooting a furnace that will not run. Mike started with the basics by checking sensors, and connections. This is where the problem with the furnace was in the first place.
