I called every couple of weeks after we agreed to the estimated price to see when the work was performed and was always told that we were scheduled in the "next few weeks" or "after the weather dries up" or random other promises of having the work performed in short order. I stopped calling after a while. Then, in July 2013 we had a terrible storm and our roof leaked very badly in several places in the addition on our house, which was the area under the roof that Bill's Roofing had agreed to replace. My husband called and expressed extreme disgust with their services but did not get an agreement to come and replace the roof. I called later the same day and informed them that I expected the work to be done in less than two weeks. Nobody ever came to replace the roof. We called another roofer, who told us we didn't need to replace the roof and that we could get a few more years out of our existing roof with a repair rather than a replacement. We had our roof repaired by another roofer and haven't had any more problems.
Description of Work: Bill's Roofing gave us an estimate to replace a rubber membrane roof over an addition on our home. We signed the estimate and agreed to have the work performed in the summer of 2012.

The roof got tore off fine but when the workers were putting the plywood on they dropped one off and hit my air condition which broje it but the company said that it did not break the air condition. Even though the air condition worked fine before the workers hit it eith plywood. They also backed the truck up and broke my concrete that went to basement door but they did fix that but I think they only fixed because I told them that they would not get paid until they did . The air condition I could not prove since the workers would not admit but a few eeeks later I ran into my brother and he told me that one of the workers was laughing about it not relizing that I was his brothers but was to late for me to do anything about it I just have to pray the fix that the air guy did will last even though he doesn't think it will last long.
Description of Work: Tore off all of old roof then put new on.

they had roof torn off and replaced within 1 day. They did perform work well, with the exception of clean up. A lot of nails were left on driveway and ground. Also had gutters replaced. They are leaking were the downspots attach and some are overflowiing. May be at the wrong slope. they are not being very responsive about coming back to take care of them. They seem to be better at roofing thangutters. Overall a good experience.
Description of Work: I had a 30 year old plus roof replaced with architectural shingles. Told me about hail damage that I did not realize that I had. Also had gutters replaced along with some alumimum soffits.

They had told me the leaking in my basement was because of the roofing and flashing around my chimney, I also had minor hail and wind damage, they replaced the roof, It looked pretty good. Later that week the basement leaked again I called them out, they told me it wasn't the roofing it was the chimney chase at the top of the chimney not the roof. I pointed out the bent gutters, the mangled siding where it meets the roof, a gap between the garage and house roof, trim does not match the house, nails in my siding, the flashing around the chimney that was placed on the top of the shingles, not under the shingles leaving a gap where water rushes under the shingles, ice or snow can just creep under the flashing and shingles in winter weather. Lumps in the roof, and I also told them I had gotten in the attic and they did not replace the water damaged boards under the shingles. (potential mold hazard). So I thought they would fix it, NO They came out with Bill the owner pulled on the gutters to straighten them (didn't help), pulled the roofing up off the house and covered the gap between the garage and house roof, it since has popped back down and the gap is exposed. Left the nails and shingles bits in the gutters, (had to clean them myself in a rainstorm because of overflowing) didn't even remove the nails from my siding, and told me I didn't tell them I wanted a tinted skylight and that wasn't in the estimate and wanted $300 more. And said "everything was done properly and didn't see why I called them out" they left. I called and complained twice, getting nothing but where is the $300 dollars you owe us for the skylight, then got another bill from them saying I still owed them $1000, (my deductible). that's when I got angry and told them I wanted the original estimate and signed invoice. They have never contacted me again or sent me the signed invoice, absolutely no response to my complaints. I guess they just expected I would pay them the additional monies they wanted just because they asked, and could not produce my contract. I am a 100% percent disabled veteran, I was promised a 10% discount after the paperwork and checks cleared, I have yet to see my $1000 discount check I guess they kept it to cover the costs they said I still owed. I asked for the original contract to show my discount and the services and materials I was promised, because he kept the original saying he needed to do that till he collected the checks, the young man who came out to collect the checks told me they would be sent to me in the mail. I have heard nothing. DO NOT do business with this company they seem to be a very disorganized company who just wants more money and give less service.
Description of Work: Gave me an estimate to remove the water damaged plywood under the shingles around the chimney ,remove old shingles, roofing paper, nails, replace with new. Replace old skylight with new superior tinted skylight, and larger attic vents. And would perform the work for what the insurance company would give me minus our deductible.

The actual roof replacement went well once they started. it was about three months after signing my contract that the job was completed, if I had know this it would have been ok, but this long delay was not explained to me. Cleanup was not great, lots of debris left in the gutters that i had to clean up after they left, my gutters would not have been able to drain if I had not cleaned them. A flower bed was destroyed, if that had been commutated to me it would have been ok, nothing was said, just flowers gone. Ruts where left in front yard, again, if that had been talked about it might have been ok, but nothing was said, just ruts when job was done. The contractor promised to come back and replace a piece of siding that was not on the bid but he agreed to do anyway. a year latter and far to many phone calls and this is not done yet. Overall, the roof was replaced and seems to be ok, I have no confidence they will come back if anything goes wrong. If you use these guys, get it in writing and do not pay until that is done.
Description of Work: My roof was replaced due to wind damage, the entire roof was replaced and roof vents installed.

Poor experience. Would not recommend them.
Description of Work: Asked for an estimate to put a roof on. Sent them an e-mail to inquire about getting an appointment for an estimate. Estimator showed up without calling out of the blue. I never did receive a call or e-mail back before he showed up. Requested the bid to be written in a certain manner and they did not even pay attention to the way I needed the bid written.

We were referred to Bill's roofing by an insurance agent...they were supposed to call and set up an appointment to come and give us an estimate...out of the blue, my mother (then 74) heard a noise up on her roof and some strange man was up there measuring her roof. They never called to make an appointment and they didn't even ring the doorbell to let someone know they were there!
Description of Work: We were asking for estimates on re-roofing my mother's house.

Description of Work: After receiving the estimate and confirming they would replace a portion of my roof the workers came and went in a very prompt manner. The shingles matched well and I was happy...except for the plants they smashed, the yard they drove through and tore up, the large metal pipe left in the yard, and the nails I ran over in my driveway (leading to a flat tire). Ok, probably goes with the territory when replacing a roof. So upon closer inspection they missed a whole strip of shingles by the dormer window. I call and around a week later they show without calling when I was at work and fixed. Then a few days later my ceiling has a stain from a leak directly where they had replaced my roof. It didn't leak before only had wind damage. So I call and I'm told someone will be out in a few days. Mind you they showed the same day to receive their check as the job finished. So a week later they come without calling as I had asked again and drove in the yard, over the new grass seed and sprinkler that was in place only to take off a small ladder and hammer. When asked to move the truck to the driveway 12 feet away they do. In the process of getting out of the truck one worker steps on a driveway light and breaks it. He leaves it for me to find later. Bill's ignored that complaint all together by the way, but they aren't too expensive so I let it go too. They say they have fixed the leak now. i try to cover up the stain, but I can't match the paint so I need a painter to fix the stain. I am scheduled an appointment a couple weeks later through Bill's. So I take off work and wait... An hour late I receive a call from Bill's that the painter is stuck in traffic in a small town nearby. So the receptionist says I'll call you back and let you know if he will be there tonight or not at all. No call. Eventually I call her back and reschedule the appointment. I take off work, he shows, and tells me "yep, you got a stain that can't be covered up. Needs painted" and then leaves. I wait a 8 days and call Bill's back to ask when they will be there to fix my ceiling. The receptionist asks when I am available. I tell her after 4pm since I refuse to take work off again for this. She says call me after 4pm today and I will have spoken to the painter. I manage to leave work a few minutes early to surprise my son with an ice-cream dinner. I pull in the driveway at 3:45pm and they are already there. My son should not have let them in, but they should never have come into a home without an appointment and without an adult present!!!!! So a job that started in February was completed in July and still looks awful. The painter missed many spots, dropped paint on the baseboards, and the painting above my bed. I'm done complaining to them, they do not care, and I say good riddance.
