Not good. Wish they wouldn't treat customers that trust them like garbage. I will be reporting to the BBB
Description of Work: Rons roofing roofed a house and installed the shingles improperly. The shingles are currently nailed high. That means they didn't nail on the nail line but above the nail line. Now we have shingles blown off from a storm. If they was nailed correctly there is a good chance the shingles would have not blown off. So that being said. We contacted rons roofing and they wanted a payment to fix a roof they installed 6 months ago. Said they have a workmanship warranty. They sent a guy out to look at my roof. He was cussing and saying rude things. I'm currently sending a couple of shingles to the manufacturer to get a report to see if the shingles was installed correctly or not. A shingle distributor said the shingles where installed wrong. So I will be posting the paper work from the manufacturer when I get it. I also have a adjuster coming to look as well. Rons roofing refused to replace the blown off shingles and wanted more money to replace there roof they installed 6 months ago.

We've had several hail storms since and we've had no trouble at all. They recommended people for new gutters that we used.
Description of Work: We used Ron's Roofing to replace our roof. It was a tear off and new roof. We have multiple levels that they had to roof.

He was excellent. They did a really good job. They came out and did the job in one day. They knew what they were doing and we would use them again in the future if needed.

Not well. After initial contact, Ron's was not responding to issues with our insurance company. We elected to find another contractor for our roofing project due to the problems they caused.
Description of Work: After a hail storm we called Ron's to have them tarp our roof to prevent water from coming into our home. They came out very quickly and put tarps over about 40% of our roof. Our insurance adjuster had difficulty getting Ron's to return to review damages together. When they finally did meet, our insurance adjuster said that because of the way the roof was tarped, there was more damage than would have been otherwise. Our insurance company ended up paying for a whole new roof, less our deductible, when we may have not needed one. Ron's charged us $410.00 just to put the tarps on.

We regret member is upset with our firm. We have never spoken to her-and regret that she did not call us to allow us an opportunity to resolve her issues with our firm. I spoke to member that day when he called in-he was in a panic-rain was coming in a few hours-and he needed his roof tarped off. I asked him how large an area was leaking-so we would know what size tarp to bring. HE decided after we discussed tarp sizes and roof area he wanted to covered that we should install a 20x30 tarp. He said he was home and would show the roofer where to install the tarp. we installed the tarp size the customer requested in the area the customer asked us to. I had someone there within the hour for him. We met with his insurance co-there was hail damages to the roof. The adjustor did ask us why we put on that size of tarp-but it was at the owners directions-and we explained that to the adjustor with the owner present also. The deductible these folks had to pay is the same for a repair or replacement. We regret they are upset with us-but we performed as asked. Member called and asked us to install a 20X30 tarp-which we did within the hour-we met with their insurance adjustor on the roof to view and discuss the hail damages as they requested-and also the tarp installation. The insurance company paid for the tarp installation, and a whole new roof. The only thing our of pocket for these folks is their deductible-any insurance claim you have the deductible to pay. I am not really sure what else we could have done for them. They called-we were there within and hour-we did as asked and installed the size tarp member asked for-we met with the insurance co-the insurance company paid for the roof and the tarp installation. we sincerely regret that theses folks are upset with our firm. We have an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau-and are accredited members. We have been in business since 1984-with over 20 years in the same location. We strive to make each and every one of our customers happy. Unfortunately-there are some that you can not. we sincerely regret that member is upset with our firm.

Ron's Roofing was punctual, fast and efficient. We did a low-cost, basic roof since it was a rental house, but they have many, many options and upgrades you can buy. They tore off three dead layers of asphalt and re-shingled in a single day. Also did a nice new flashing job around the chimney. Clean-up afterward was excellent-- I couldn't find a single chip of old felt or shingle laying around anywhere. A couple of days afterward a friendly, courteous young supervisor came by to check the job and make sure we were satisfied. It was a completely drama-free and trouble-free experience. We will definitely use them again.
Description of Work: Re-roofed a small rental house by tearing off three layers of old asphalt shingles and replaced with three-tabs.

He was prompt and he responded to our inquiry rapidly. But I probably won't be doing business with him. He gave us a good price but I don't think I was satisfied with his recommendation of the products. I went and did some further research. Nobody that I could find was happy with the items that he was recommending which was a specific type of shingle. l don't know if it reflects on him or not but I didn't think it was good for him to recommend a lower quality. He said it was a better quality and better guarantee and so on, but when I did my own research, it didn't square with what he had told me.
Description of Work: Ron's Roofing came by and gave us an estimate on a complete reroofing a month ago.

We have MANY shingles brands available to our customers. We have a showroom you can come and see samples of the different products. We have product information available from the manufacturers. The materials cost can stop at any price you are looking for-just like any other product. You can start at the low end-and go up from there. We try to provide our customers with good quality materials and workmanship. We stand by the products we use-=and their warranties. My records indicate that this is a rental unit-and we were asked to provide a quality roof for a cheap price. Our products are of high quality.We offered a FREE upgrade of shingles to a 35 year laminated roof instead of a 30 year laminated roof-IF the owner wanted to do such. The warranty is a bit better than a 30 yr-and also 5 years longer warranty. After that-you get into a higher life shingles-but you only stop where your pocketbook tells you to.We regret that the member has received some bad info regarding the shingles-and we would be MORE THAN HAPPY to have the Regional Manager for the shingles manufacturer meet with him to show why his product is not inferior-Our firm has been in business for 26 years-we provide quality service at a good price. We regret that we were unable to assist this homeowner in his roof replacement. If he has further questions-we would be happy to assist him in any product he is interested in.

Ron's crew did a fabulous job. The cost was exactly as estimated. The work started and completed in a timely fashion. Workers were all very professional and cleared the area thoroughly upon completion.
Description of Work: Replaced our entire roof after storm damage. This included tear off of existing wood shake and replacing with OSB sheathing and quality composite shingles.

He was prompt, professional and polite. He gave us a written price, and warranty. He did the work on the day he said he would. Cleaned up after himself. Also when we had an issue with the work, we called him, he came out the next day and fixed the issue with an apology and we have had no trouble with his work since. We would use him again.
Description of Work: Fixed a leak we had in our closet. Also replaced some shingles that were old and worn.
