Description of Work: Helped me clean out unneeded items in the basement. She packed everything up and brought it to a donation center for me. Very friendly, very professional. I'd highly recommend this company to anyone needing things to be removed from the house and donated.

Our time working together went smoothly. Darcy is an incredible listener, personable, efficient, extraordinarily observant and I truly enjoyed working with her. Without any hesitation I highly recommend her services!
Description of Work: Darcy and I worked side by side together, to clear clutter and return the finished part of our basement to order. We earmarked charitable donations and relocated other items to the garage.

She charged per hour. One of the main things was her professionalism. She treated my information with a lot of confidentiality. She willingly provided references. She came and did what she did. She kept on the task. She was a fast worker. She consulted with me, and I was always in the house, while she was doing it. She was great about getting things organized. She consulted me about what she needs to do about this, and what she needs to do about that. Usually, she knew exactly what need to be kept, what could be shredded, and what could be burned out. She is prompt, and she is very personable.
Description of Work: Organize 4U Professional Organizing Services organized my home office, organized the stack of open mail, and organized file drawers within one month.

Darcy came over and we discussed the things I wanted to accomplish with household organization & she explained her training, expertise, style and process. She is very professional and up front, which I appreciate. We set goals and put processes in place for trouble spots in our house. Once we established everything I wanted to donate, she itemized everything, then took the list home to assign a value to it, which became a nice writeoff for our tax return. Bonus! It has been a few years since she helped me and her organization tips/tools are still in place & sometimes I have a little Darcy voice in my head which keeps me in check. I have been able to take her suggestions and apply it to other areas needing organization. I highly recommend her, and have to family and friends, who have also used her organization skills. I'd like to have her back again soon!
Description of Work: Darcy spent 6 hours with me, organizing 3 rooms and 3 cluttered closets. We got through a lot in one day because I was ready to purge! Darcy is not pushy & will not MAKE you get rid of anything, she will GUIDE you. So, if you have trouble letting go of things, don't fret, Darcy understands the sensitivity of the tasks at hand.

Darcy is friendly and wonderfully helpful. She's on time each visit and works hard for the time she's here. She offers helpful suggestions when needed, which is appreciated. I recommend her highly! She has made organizing fun for me!

She is a true professional who knows her business well! I had been procrastinating on getting our files organized for some time because I wasn't exactly sure where to start and how to accomplish this task. Not only are my files now combined in an appropriate way so that I know where to find things, she also categorized the cabinets so that the whole family is able to locate things. She gave me information on how long papers should be kept, what things should be in a lock-box, and how to continue to manage all paper that comes in to my home. I am so impressed by her skills that I will use her again to get other areas of my home organized such as closets, the garage, etc. I would highly reccomend her to a friend or business associate.

She unpacked boxes, helped organize my entire kitchen and dining room, even did some cleaning, and then gave me some additional tips for later. I was in awe of her abilities to get going and how much she could accomplish in such a short time. She was very professional, and prepared for everything. She even brought us some information on the area, and welcomed us to KC. I would definitely use her services again, and highly recommend her!
Description of Work: We have just relocated to the Kansas City area, and the movers did not unpack anything. The relocation company suggested a personal organizer, and they found Organize 4 U to come and help me.

The overall experience has been excellent and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them for work in home and office. They will even clean and organize your garage! They have been especially effective in recommending changes in my procedures for handling things for storage. I have finally reached a point where I can look for something and its right where it belongs! I have really enjoyed getting organized!
Description of Work: I had accumulated years worth of "good stuff" and they helped me decide what I needed and what could be discarded. There was still quite a few things left. I had a lot of medical and other records and they helped organize them. I am disabled from Military Service, so I am not able to work for more that a couple of hours. They are very sensitive to my needs and actually make the experience enjoyable. Its a continuing project and they continue to be very helpful.

Like most people, I suppose, it was not until the situation in my home had become completely out of control that I sought out the services of a professional organizer. I was embarrassed to reveal my hidden chaos to anyone, particularly a complete stranger. Darcy was very personable from the start. She put me to ease on the phone and during our initial consultation. After she explained the process and we agreed on terms, the work got underway in earnest. The sheer enormity of the project was completely overwhelming for me. Not for Darcy. It is a tremendous help to have a professional without any emotional investment in your stuff blazing the trail. There were moments when I simply could not face a particular stack or box. I handed the whole mess to Darcy and she plowed right through it. By the end of the process, everything was back in balance and I was beyond relieved. I could not have done this without Darcy, and I would not attempt it again without Darcy. She has my vote.
Description of Work: Tackled a mountain of accumulated personal and business paperwork. Organized all financial statements and documents by account and tax year in preparation for filing. Developed tools and strategies for managing paperwork on an on-going basis. Faced the massive clutter and chaos of an out-of-control basement and brought sanity and peace of mind. Pulled the house together in time for a large annual party, preparations for which were greatly aided by the new order. Taxes were filed, long-lost treasures rediscovered, and a terrific party was thrown, all thanks to Darcy and her talents.

I contacted Darcy by e-mail and she was very prompt in contacting me. We set up a time and she showed up at promised. We worked together to sort through my stuff. It was nice to have a partner to work with, since this is something I had dreaded. She was very professional and I felt comfortable with her handling my personal documents. I had her stay 3 hours which is the typical limit.
Description of Work: I needed help organizing all the mail/stuff that comes into my house. I had a back log of paperwork to file and organize. Darcy helped me categorize the piles and develop a system to prevent this problem in the future.

Darcy is extremely flexible and available at various times throughout the day. She is very professional and always respected my privacy when organizing paperwork in my home office. She is also amazing at alphabetizing a stack of papers! She made the organizing easy because she helped me find a system that worked for me. The time we spent working flew by quickly, and it was nice to have someone right there to help me put systems in place that are functional for me! It is easy to clean up my home and classroom now that everything has a place!
Description of Work: Darcy actually helped me both in my home and at my job. She came in and helped me to remove items I don't need and find places for items I do need. She also helped me develop filing systems for my personal paperwork that are functional for me. I am a teacher, and she helped me to develop files at school as well. She also helped me to find a place for everything I use in my classroom.
