Mr. Barrett was sensational. My home is 35 years old, and the faucet handle was so badly corroded that it was difficult even to turn off the water. In spite of the corrosion and difficulty in removing the old fixture and installing the new one, Mr. Barrett never lost his patience and continued to work on the fixture at a time when most plumbers probably would have given up and tried to sell me lots of expensive new piping. I used Handyman Barrett for the first time just one week ago for an entirely different project, and I will certainly call him again for any home projects.

Great. Phillip came out on a Saturday afternoon and finished the job in a fast, professional manner.

The work went well and didn’t even take a full day. It was suggested to convert the kitchen light to LED which was fine. I was happy to have a sump pump with drain pipe installed too, it’s a good precaution as there was a sump pit but no pump or external drainage that I could tell when I bought the house. He even remedied a small water pressure issue on my kitchen faucet without charge so that was good too. I’m confident that if I had hired a plumber and electrician for the same work I’d have easily spent 3x as much for the same result.

Phil has done various things for my family, including installing an interior door that had to be custom fit, putting up a digital antenna on the roof, and some plumbing tasks. He is very honest and if he thinks you can do something yourself, he'll show you how to do it. He also very reasonable.

talked to Phil on Friday the 18th...set up an appointment for Wed. the 23rd at 11:00 am...he choose the date and time... come Wed. at 11 no Phil... I text him at 11:30 to find out where he was... his response was sorry I didn't have you on my calendar.... what was your address and what kind of work did you need done... doesn't seem to be very organized

It went very well. Very punctual, professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Completed project in 2 days.

Phillip came 10 minutes early for the appointment and was very pleasant to talk to. He removed old faucet and sprayer. The countertop hole had to be cut a bit larger to fit the new faucet. All mess was cleaned up before he left. Love the new faucet! I'll definitely call Phillip for future projects!

I had several items on a "To Do List" and Phillip Barrett promptly responded to my request for a bid. I thought his bid was acceptable. My kitchen faucet that was leaking had a parts guarantee, so Phillip told me what to ask for when I called MOEN for replacement parts. He told me to contact him after MOEN delivered the kitchen faucet parts to me. Once I did that, he was able to schedule my work in a very timely manner. When he began working on the kitchen faucet, he determined MOEN had not sent a necessary part, so he telephone them on the spot and ordered this additional part. After I received this additional part, he stopped by my house a and finished the repair (at no additional charge). In my dealings with Phillip, he was always very professional and made suggestions which would enable me to get these items done in an economical way. Instead of getting me to spend money, he tried to save me money. He was very organized and did not forget anything on my list. He works very efficiently and had things done before I knew it. He had all the parts and tools necessary to complete the tasks. My home is 50 years old and I need some cedar siding repaired on one side of the house. He told me he did not do that type of repair, but gave me the name of a person who might be able to help me. He even took a picture of the area in question and said he would email it to that person. I have not yet called that man, but intend to do so. I would definitely call Handyman Barrett for future jobs.

Phil showed up on time of the day for the work and completed the set of jobs quickly and professionally. All of the work looks very good. I was very pleased with his attitude and his handiwork.

Everything he has done has been top quality, professional, and reasonably priced. If there was something that he wasn't qualified to do or that required special tools, he told me that up front and made recommendations. Only trouble now is that he's booked up several weeks ahead :-)

Back in July I was going to have my master bathroom redone I contacted Philip to install an Onyx shower system and tile the floor. I wound up going with another supposed "top rated" contractor and they did a terrible job. Trust me Hire Barrett it may take him a little longer to complete the job but he does an excellent job. I wish I had.

I contacted them via Angie's List message to help my mom with some projects. She had a big list that dad's health prevents him from helping with. Didn't hear back for a couple day, but when I called I got a prompt return call and apology for the message being missed. They came out, gave her an estimate, made some recommendations and mom hired them. They were on time or early each visit. I was pleased with most of the work. Bathroom wall repair looks good, light installs seem well done gates work better. Only downsides were they left a bit of a mess in the yard after the gutter cleaning, and that a third gate in the backyard was not repaired and mom was told it was improperly installed. I was confused why they weren't able to fix that, but didn't talk to them to find out. Plus they said we'd need to dig out some dirt to make the first gate open fully. I wasn't positive why they didn't do that for her, but I'm guessing they figured someone in the family could do it instead of charging for it. But the two gates they repaired do open properly now! I appreciated their recommendation that the ice machine repair wasn't worth the money, but mom insisted it was and is very happy with it. They also gave her recommendations for a deck repair person. My concerns were things that probably could have been dealt with had I been there to talk to them, and mom just didn't ask. But none of that was too major. She liked working with them. Overall, we were happy and would use them again.

Phill did an excellent job. During the day, he kept us informed of how the job was being done. When something was not clear, he asked. While he was working on something, he took to time to explain why and how things were being done.

Service was provided professionally. Price was slightly less than the one other quotation. Punctuality was outstanding. Provider seemed very knowledgeable of a wide variety of household subjects and provided solicited feedback of those asked. Very personable and pleasing attitude.

The entire experience was great! He was very easy to contact by phone and I was able to schedule a convenient appointment time. He arrived on time and was very pleasant and professional. The best part was that he gave me advice about some inexpensive tools I can purchase that would allow me to easily do some repairs on my own. This told me he is an honest professional, because he could have instead just done this additional work himself and charged me for it. He also took the time to answer questions about other issues in my home. He gave me some great advice and I will definitely be calling him again for some specific projects I can't handle myself (e.g. changing out a light fixture).

He was excellent. I would definitely recommend him to absolutely anyone else. For the work that we were having done, that was a marvelous bargain. He is very dependable. He's prompt. He returns calls whenever you call him. He adjusts his schedule inorder to be there when you need him. He's a gentleman and a very honest person. We plan to use him.

One man came to do the work. It was better than having to call the plumber. I would use him in the future.

My kitchen sink was old and the seal was broken causing a leak under the sink. I went and bought a new faucet and needed to get it installed--so I called Mr. Barrett. Mr. Barrett came on time, and got right to work. He is very knowledgeable about plumbing. He needed a few extra parts, and was very nice to make a run to the hardware store to get it. Everything went well. He added the price for the parts to the total cost of the installation. In addition, my doorbell wasn't working so I asked him to look at it. He discovered that my two batteries needed to be replaced. He replaced them, and I now have a working doorbell again. It was a pleasure working with him.

But in addition to that, when he made the first trip, he advised me what kind of screen holder I needed to get, and how to find the best price. Then he drilled the mounting, hooked up my TV and was done. He is great to work with and I have called him on other projects. Honest, very fair pricing. Highly recommend
