Description of Work: Water had been coming into our house around the chimney (about 23 years since built). Chimneysmith owner determined what needed to be done, showed us pictures, and provided a bid. Repaired chimney including replacing chase cover and installing metal trim wrap. He also cleaned chimney.

+ -1 moreFred was awesome! He was prompt, knowlegeable, polite and even cleaned up after himself! If he ever decides to do house cleaning he'll give merry maids a run for their money! I will have to replace 2 of the liners in the chimneys and I'll definately being calling Chimneysmith to do the job!
Description of Work: Fred McCoy came out and inspected 3 chimneys-2 woodburning fireplaces and a wood-burning furmace. He cleaned 2 of the chimneys and replaced a damper in of the chimneys.

Description of Work: My roofer had noticed a problem near my chimney; and since I had used Chimneysmith in the past with great satisfaction, I called the company again. When Fred, the owner, inspected my chimney, he noticed a good deal of wood rot, which would have caused severe trouble in the future. He replaced all of the diseased wood on the chimney and painted the new wood.

+ 0 moreIt was Great! After cleaning the chimney and the fireplace they had me look at the videos so i could see some of the cracks and holes that needed relinning. The gave me an estimate for both chimneys. They also suggested I put caps on the chimney to keep animals from falling through the chimney. The HomeSaver UltraPro or Pro Chimney Relinning System was a little too pricey for me at this time. I did, however, make an appointment for them to come back and put the caps on the chimneys for a reasonable fee. They will able to get it scheduled in 2 days and it took only 15 minutes to complete. Next year, if have money available, I will have them come back and install the linnings.
Description of Work: Cleaned the chimney and all debri burned wood that was in the fireplace.
