+ 0 moreThe owner came to my house shortly after I called for an estimate. He explained the characteristics of Berber carpet, and how it should be cleaned. He measured all the areas to be cleaned, and gave a firm quote for cleaning 3 rooms, a foyer, 2 halls, and 25 steps. He also explained in detail how the carpets would be prepped before cleaning, and the technique that would be used to clean them. A very nice man named Wil showed up right on time, asked me if there were any spots I was concerned about. I pointed out 2 stains that had been in the carpet for years. He worked steadily for 2 hours. Then asked my opinion when he was finished. I was amazed that most of the stubborn stains were gone, and the carpets looked great. I was concerned that an upstairs hall might need another treatment after it dries. He said he would be happy to come back to retreat any area I thought needed it. I was very impressed with his work, and would recommend this company for good work at reasonable prices.

+ -1 moreThe representative was prompt and immediately got down to business. He had all the equipment and supplies on his truck, including electricity and water. The sofa and loveseat cleaned on the first trip was done inside someone else's house. After he completed the upholstery cleaning, he cleaned the carpet free of charge due to the water dripping on it during the upholstery cleaning, which was unavoidable. The cost was $150. I requested a discount on the second loveseat due to the fact that it only had back and seat cushions, but no arms or back as they were made of wood. The company representative did reduce the price somewhat from $65 to $50, and I thought it was fair. The representative was courteous and professional.
Description of Work: They ha\ve done upholstery cleaning for me twice in the last month. The first was for a sofa and loveseat, and the second was for a loveseat.

+ -1 moreI have had experience with his company before and was very impressed with the service I received. I called, and within a day, Will came out to give me an estimate. He was very polite and professional. We toured the area and I explained what had happened, and that I wanted him to repair the damage, remove the stains from the water damage, and clean the entire area. He gave me his estimate and I accepted his bid. He completed the work in about 4 hours. We did a walk through, and the carpet looked good, but it was still wet. The next day, some stains had reappeared along with some new ones. I called and spoke to the owner, Phil, and he explained that sometimes, especially with Berber carpeting, the stain will seep deep into the fibers at their roots. Even though the stain had been surface cleaned, the extraction process will bring these stains back up to the surface. Will came out two more times to address these stubborn areas. I was very pleased with the quick response.
Description of Work: Water seepage had caused carpet damage in several areas of our finished basement. Rotted wood tack strips were ripped out and replaced with new tack strips. The carpet was re-attached. The water stained areas and the rest of the carpeted area was then vacuumed, cleaned, and sprayed with a protectant.

+ -1 moreThe Campbell's are great. I called on a weekend and wasn't expecting a call back until Monday, but Phil returned my call on Sunday and apologized for not getting back to me sooner! I explained my problem with the wet carpet in the downstairs bedroom and he outlined my options for me and answered all my questions. We scheduled a time that week for them to come out and either clean it or remove it. When they arrived and assessed the damage, they gave me my options and I opted to have them remove it and disinfect the floor beneath. They did a beautiful job. ($125) I asked them to give me an estimate to have the rest of my carpets in the house cleaned the following week. Joshua came back the next week and took care of the carpets in the rest of the house, including stretching some areas that needed it with a power stretcher, and removing a few pet stains. He did an excellent job and was more than happy to answer any questions I had. ($500). I will definitely have them back!
Description of Work: This report covers two visits from Campbell's. The first visit they removed water damaged carpet and pad from a basement bedroom and disinfected the floors and baseboards. The second visit a week later, the remaining carpets in my house were cleaned.

+ 0 moreI needed my carpets cleaned ASAP due to a sudden decision to put our house on the market within a few days. I called my "regular" company and they were booked for 3 weeks due to recent floods in our area. I did a GOOGLE search and found Angie's List, signed up and called Campbell's based on the high marks others have given them. I recouped $35 of the Angie's membership fee with the this company because of the coupon they offered. They were able to book an appointment for only 2 days later and were thrilled that I had called based on Angie's List recommendation. I later learned that this company is so successful, they only take new customers from Angie's or on referral. Once you refer a customer to them, they send you 10% of the total service in credit or cash. This is truly a wonderful locally owned company. I will never call my old carpet cleaner again!
Description of Work: The owners son showed up 5 min. early, was very professional and friendly. He gave me an estimate of the work I wanted done for 2 rooms and 2 staircases. We talked in detail about whether or not to spend the extra money for protector or stainguard since we were moving which we declined. They were very informative about carpets and cleaning etc. He recommended that I have one room re-stretched but only after I asked him about the "rolls" in the carpet and had already calculated the price. He was here 2.5 hours and the carpets are now beautiful and look brand new.

They required very gentle care as they were probably 100 years old and from an estate that did not likely clean them for at least 60 years. + 0 morePhil (founder), son and other employee came to do the job on a Saturday AM. Cleaning system is in truck; they bring a hose and cord into the house. Door has to be ajar for the hose so on this cold day the house got really cold. They were very courteous and very attentive to customer service. They finished in 3 hours. All furniture was back in place with coasters (styrofoam or plastic) underneath so as not to damage the furniture with dampness. The damp carpet was perfectly safe for my toddler and pets but we went to visit relatives overnight so as not to have to walk on it. The carpet looks great; clean and wrinkle-free. Later I noticed the area near a heat vent was a little bumped up (like they didn't trim enough carpet after stretching) so I called and they came out promptly to trim it one evening. Very customer-service oriented. They do not advertise; they work strictly on referrals and repeat business. In fact, if I refer someone I will get paid 10% of that person's job.
Description of Work: Cleaned carpet in 6 rooms, 2 hallways and 3 half-flights of stairs. Stretched carpet in 3 rooms. Cleaned 1 sofa and 1 chair. Price shown is after 15% Angie's List discount. Pre-discount was around $410 for the cleaning, $250 for the stretching, $85 for sofa and $35 for chair. They do their own carpet stretching (using power stretcher, not knee kicker) and repair (as opposed to subbing it out) so everything is done in one trip (two trips if you include the estimate). Family business. They use steam cleaning method, and all of their products (except their spot treatment) are "green" (environmentally friendly). Cleaning charged by the "cleanable" sq. ft. (45 cents/ft) (they do not charge for under furniture that doesn't get moved). Came for estimate and I told them which furniture I wanted moved and which ones would stay in place. Told me to pack any knick knacks that could fall off furniture. Gave me recipe for spot-cleaner for when my cat throws up (involves dish soap and vinegar).

+ 0 moreThey worked around my schedule, were prompt, efficient, very polite and very professional in dress and behavior. Josh told me how the area rugs would be cleaned and what products they used. Josh also gave me tips on buying a carpet pad and ongoing maintenance of area rugs and furniture. They called to update me on the cleaning of one carpet that had cat urine on it. The 20+ year old loveseat had multiple stains and looked great after cleaning. The chairs and rugs looked and smelled clean upon completion. I was extremely pleased and would call them again. I would also recommend them to friends and family.
