+ -1 moreProfessional, on time, fully explained. I felt the price was a little high but it's my first treatment so I'll see if it's worth it. I do wish they would put down glue boards. Many of my friends and family use this same tech/business and are satisfied.

+ -1 moreI wasn’t real pleased with them. It was not that they did a bad job. I just needed a much targeted thing to go on and they just gave me the blanket thing. There was so much communication between myself and the people there. They were probably good on the monthly thing. We decided to do the pest control ourselves. I needed a very specific thing and the guy who came didn’t understand. He was fine for the scheduled maintenance as he covered every corner. He was very attentive. He was also attentive to make sure that we didn’t have pets in the house. He was concerned to get my parrot out of the area which was great. The price was fine.
Description of Work: I called Steve's Pest Control because I had some earwig and box elder bugs had gotten in.

+ -1 moreThey arrived on time and were prepared to do the work. He answered a few questions I had and began. He left traps around the house before leaving and left a large supply of additional traps we could use if/when the original traps became full. Seemed to do a thorough job but time will tell in this instance. I do plan on using them in the future after calling around and getting bids on services including pest control and termites.
Description of Work: Treated a newly purchased home for brown recluse spiders, which had been seen by another person doing work on the house. I also had them do a general bug control treatment both in and outside.

+ -1 morehe was punctual, polite, clean and organized. But the prices were too high for me to sign on for. I will have to do the interior and exterior pest control myself, which I can do. It was really more of a convenience factor having someone else do it. But the prices are too high for me to justify having them do the work instead. Which isn't to say they were too expensive, just that I cant afford them.

+ -1 moreThe provider (Glen) was on time, polite and very efficient. I had multiple things going on while he was around. I didn't feel like he needed my full attention. When he had a question he found me and went back to it. All in all I am very satisfied with SPC. I would recommend them and definitely use them again.

+ -1 moreI've used him probably 4 or 5 years. They did a good job. Some try and lock you in to a monthly or annual contract where they come out quarterly or whatever but Steve would do that if you want him to. I use him every other year. He's got very good people who work for him. Whenever I call in and ask for service, I always ask for the same guy to come back. He wears booties, does a very good job in and out. he makes sure I understand everything. They do something a little bit different than most. They spray the inside of the house, all around the house, and they power wash and they'll spray the foundation. You don't have any ants or spiders or roaches. I've never had anybody do that before.

+ -1 moreI explained to Steve that I wanted the upgrade but planned to put up a fence with a childrens playground on the north west corner of my home and would appreciate it if he could delay installing the new system until the work was done. He agreed to install the system around the rest of the house, remove the old bait traps in the area to be fensed and to return to.place those one the fence and ground cover was in place. The work was done on time with no inconvience to me. The missing traps were place soon after I notified the compamy that the yard work was finished. I pay an annual fee $250 and the traps are monitored regularlly for termite activity. I have had no reoccurrance of termite activity and I am very satisfied.l
Description of Work: I have an on going contract with Steve Pest Control for termite detection and extermination. Steve uses a system of bait traps with treated wood that when taken back to the colony kills thr entire colony. I originaly had the system installed approximately 10 years ago after discovering termites in the attached garage. This spring the company upgraded the system and Steve offered the up grade to his existing clients at no additional charge.

Because it was a holiday weekend, he didn't have anyone available to send that day, but he spent time on the phone with me explaining exactly what we needed to do to get rid of them. I was very impressed with the time and detail that was given. I would absolutely use them if a need arises in the future!

+ -1 moreWe had Steves Pest Control Inc do our pest control treatment for us. They came to the house and sprayed inside and outside of the home. They spray a barrier around your home. They used a high pressure sprayer and sprayed the exterior walls of the house. I have used them for 6 years now.

+ -1 moreGenerally, good. Some sort of electronic glitch prevented my having contacted them through their web site, which is what prompted my followup call. It took a full week to be contacted for scheduling the evaluation -- I would think new business would be faster than that, but that's simply my thought. I am comfortable that Steve's Pest Control is a quality-run, organized operation that can service customers in a professional way. However, those services haven't yet been rendered. Would like to follow up on this in a couple of weeks.
Description of Work: It took a couple of weeks to finally schedule an on-site evaluation/estimate for proposed services. The owner of the company himself attended and conducted the evaluation. Afterwards, we sat down to review options. After discussion with my wife, we selected an option and contacted the owner over the weekend, leaving him a voice mail message. The owner returned the call Monday morning and I asked a couple of questions concerning the warranties specific to termite control. I also asked for an attic treatment (at additional cost) and the owner described a couple different options. Again, I selected the option best suited for us and as we have parrots, reinforced the idea to the owner that application of pesticides with parrots in the home is a very dicey affair. I asked to see all MSDS documents relating to the chemicals he's proposing to use, along with copies of licenses and insurance coverage. The owner said he would email those documents to me. The current plan is for us to review those documents then schedule a date for the initial treatment.

+ -1 moreI live in the country, surrounded by woods, and didn't think I would ever be able to eliminate pests from my home completely. At the initial visit, Steve provided several options for the services needed to eliminate termites, spiders, mice and other insects. He also discussed several financing options. Once I decided on the needed pest control, Steve returned with an employee and spent several hours treating the outside and inside of my house. I was very impressed with how thorough and detailed the treatment appeared to be. But, after 2.5 months, I am even more impressed that I haven't seen any spiders, mice or bugs!!
Description of Work: Steve and his staff washed the outside of my house to eliminate spiders and bugs. The inside was also treated as well as the attic space, pantry and garage. They installed a Sentricon System for termites. This system is comprised of over 20 cylinders placed in the ground. Inside each cylinder ia a cellulose material treated with a small amount of chemical. The termites ingest the material and take it with them back to the colony. Because I have small animals outside, I did not want a large amount of chemicals injected into the soil. The Setricon System appears to be the perfect solution. My initial visit was in mid-October. In December, a member of Stev'e's staff came out to check the Sentricon System and inspect the exterior for spides and bugs. The second inspection did not require me to be home which was very convenient.

Description of Work: We did not get their typical service and have used them multiple times in the past. Every couple of years, we get one mouse in one wall in our older home. They do a customized treatment for us since we do not need the entire home treated. They can not guarantee this service, which we understand, but have never had to need to enact a guarantee with Steve's. Within 48 hours, there are no signs of the mouse at all. They are courteous, prompt, efficient, and informative. I would not hesitate to use any of their services. Thanks!

+ -1 moreSteve himself came for the initial visit and estimate, and he and a colleague came for the installatio. They were prompt and highly professional, and seemed to have a very thorough knowledge of termites and how to get rid of them. They use the Dow Chemical product, which actually kills the termites rather than trying to repel them. Their cost was less then half of the quote we received from Orkin. All in all,we were very pleased.

I know that they have a good reputation in town, and they're not a single proprietor show, they have a fairly large network of technicians. They're very quick, if you call one day, they'll be out that day. They're very professional and very punctual.
