Opie's Landscaping

My previous provider didn't notify me of a service route change that no longer included my residential area until late November, so my options to locate a new provider were very limited. I placed the requirement on my HomeAdvisor/Angi's account and while waiting for responses, I contacted Opie's Landscaping. They were very accommodating and within 2 hours their service representative was accomplishing the winterizing of my irrigation system. The individual was very friendly and professional. He explained the process for the blowout, billing, and payment. Opie's now has a new customer!

Very professional and on time. Price was competitive with other landscapers, but they offered a better solution that fitted our house style. Definitely would use them again as they are one of the most reliable businesses I have seen in this area.

They are not bad. They were on time, prompt and did a pretty good job. I would use them again.

We had one tree die but they replaced it with no questions asked. The overall job was great with many people saying how well it all looks. The crew was very professional and never stopped working till the job was done. They listened if we wanted to make some changes while they worked. Overall We would recommend Opie's to others.

Opie is a great guy. Some delay related to weather, it was winter, so expect that. Good hard workers. Cost more than I was expecting and over estimate by a few hundred dollars. Cost is really my only complaint. Don't feel like we got $8000.00 worth of landscaping. But, I hate to complain since I have not gotten back to Opie to voice the things I'm not pleased with.

We wanted a 8-10' Blue Spruce. On the day of delivery Opie's brought 2 white pines instead (couldn't find a Spruce). I was at work. My wife wasn't pleased. I got home from work after the pines had already been put in the ground. I thought they would be alright. My wife still wasn't happy about it. Opie said he would come back in Spring of '11 and trim the white pines in a Christmas tree form. Opie's did put in 8 forsythia and they are doing great so far! Only complaint is as follows: One of the white pines in 2011 was showing signs of stress and was dying. I contacted Opie's 3-4X on the phone (phone messages) about the tree. Got to speak with someone who said she was his daughter and that she would relay my message. Weeks went by. I called again and got to speak with Opie. He remembered the message and told me that he would come by within the week. Never showed up. I called MO Dept of Conservation about the tree. An agent came out and diagnosed the pine in late September/early October. The root ball had been girdled by a root system when it was planted. I cut the root system away as best I could to see if it might recover in 2012. It didn't. It would have been good customer service/relations if Opie's had shown up initially or after the fact. I wish they had.

I am satisfied with their service.

They are excellent and are in my neighborhood. I got three bids from various companies; their bid was the lowest competitive and they were the most responsive. So far it has worked out well; they have been very good and are here when they say they will be. They work hard and do a good job: I give them an A. They did a very professional job, did it quickly and want to do the job well. I am going to sign an ongoing contract with them for yard maintenance because I don't mow. I will use them again in the future.
