+ 3 moreLied about estimate and time, said the contract was not an "estimate" but something less binding. Insulted when we asked for receipts for materials, refused to finish job. WOULD NOT HAVE DONE JOB (or would have done it differently) IF WE'D KNOWN TRUE COST, DISRUPTION, AND TIME.
Description of Work: Total renovation of carriage house: new ceilings, floors, walls, electrical, heating, plumbing, exterior.

+ -1 moreThis is the contractor you dream of. Not only personable and gave bid but showed up and did more than expected on time and by estimate. Thorough, followed through, listened to our needs, returned to fix missed spots. He's understandably busy; plan far ahead.
Description of Work: Repainted entire house (2-story, brick, 100 years old) two colors. Scrape, putty, caulk, glaze, & 2 coats. Included all wood and metal windows, doors. Removal of storm windows & cleaning of glass. Arranged for carpenter to do wood repairs at extra cost. Returned to give second coat to a few areas missed (within 2-days).
