+ 0 morethey explained the process very well and the rationale behind why the 2nd part could not be warranteed. it was clear and concise. it has not rained hard since the work was done so I can not know if it will hold. they have such a good reputation so i think it will.
Description of Work: repaired two basement wall cracks approx. 10 linear feet long in all. also filled the bottom 4-5 inches of the basement door jam with the same substance. the second job did not come with the usual warranty as does the regular wall cracks.

+ -1 moreOne of the owners of the company was a relative of the cousin of ours by marriage, but now a direct cousin. That?s how I got to know them. We had some leakage in the basement. So, they put in the drain tile and a sump pump. They only did the area which was leaking and not the whole basement, which we got it done by some other people. A lot of companies usually do the whole thing whether u need it or not. Everything has been fine with the work that they did and we don?t have any problems now. We had questions after the work was done, but we were satisfied with the work that they did. They also came out when they said they would.

+ -1 moreDue to weather and the cracks leaking the workers had to come out 3 different times. All of the workers that did come out were extremely professional and nice. They were able to seal two on the first vist. One on the second visit. Then seal and install the staples in the final and worst crack. If the cracks hadn't started leaking they would have been able to repair all of them on the same day. Overall, they are a very nice company to work with on a project.

This work was done quickly and without hassle until finally successful. Overall experience was very good. Clearer diagnostic information at the beginning on what could be guaranteed and what might not be fixable would have been helpful.

+ -1 moreThey called and set time for Jim Hudson to look at the site of an old leak. The secretary, Heather, made a friendly call the day before to remind me of the appointment. Jim arrived on time, was friendly and professional. He suggested that there was no clear evidence of the source of the leak, gave me instructions of how to mark the floor if it recurred. He did not charge me for this visit. I thought he was terrific and definitely will work with him later.
Description of Work: After reading excellent reports from other customers, I called The Crack Team. There was a minor irritating delay: you get the main office, or another office out of your service area. You start to get the same feeling when dealing with ATT about your computer. I'd much rather get the office of someone running the business, who is right there, or who has a recorder of his own or some courteous human who answers the phone.

They went back and forth trying to hold the boss and give us some figures of statement. It would have helped if their boss was straight forward.

We had hired Woods Basement System for the first crack and after three attempts they could not seal it completely. We hired the Crack Team and the crack was sealed on the first repair.

Description of Work: It took weeks for them to find a time to come out for an estimate. While the rep was here he was complaining about my walls being drywalled. He told me the problems he would have putting in a drain and sump pump. He thought they would have to tear out the drywall to install drainage. Another company did the work and had no problem not tearing out the drywall. I was never sent a contract. It was pretty obvious that he didn't want to do the work. He never looked outside to get the whole picture.

+ -1 moreA crack expert arrived to make an estimate within 3 days of my call. He explained the details of the process, and left me a brochure. I made an appointment for the work to be done, and within a week, two Crack Team members arrived to make the repair. The two men's names were Jesse and Weston. They did their jobs very thoroughly and efficiently. They explained the process to me as they were doing it, and cleaned up at every step of the work using a point of contact vacuum cleaner, which prevented any dust or dirt migration. They were very friendly and professional. 3 days after the completion of work, the Crack Team sent me a lifetime, transferable warranty on the work. If these cracks ever leak again, they will be fixed free of charge. At no time did these workers inform me I needed a complete trench/drain tile/sump system installed, which was my worry. I was totally satisfied with the work done.
Description of Work: We had two cracks in our basement wall. Each was about 4 feet vertical from the floor up to the basement window. The width of the cracks was less than 1/8 inch. When we had pouring rains, there would be two foot diameter puddles on the floor. The Crack Team covered the exterior of the cracks with an epoxy cement, then applied four removable plastic ports over the cracks at differing heights. They injected an expandable foam into these ports that fills the crack all the way to the outer wall. The foam hardened and provided a complete barrier against in running rain water. To make sure the crack never widens, due to potential future settling of the foundation, they drilled and applied graphite "staples" across the cracks. Since the work has been performed, there have been two significant rain storms, and significant snow melting, and there is not a hint of any water leakage from the cracks or on the floor.
