+ -1 moreSpoke with him on the phone. He was able to come out the next morning. In the interim, he suggested a temporary fix, which helped. His knowledge and quality of care were immediately apparent. Arrived promptly at 9am and repaired the water heater in under an hour. Was very courteous and professional.
Description of Work: Diagnosed water heater failure. Replaced upper & lower thermostats.

Description of Work: My hot water heater's piolet light went out and I could not relight it. He came, relite it and said there were no other `problems. I asked him since the water heater's were over 20 years old if they needed any maintenance. He said the regulators get a little filled with deposits so if I wanted he could replace those. He replaced two regulators and left. A wonderful man. Kind of like the Maytage repair man. All he does is repair water heaters. Bill is an honest, good, trustworthy man.

+ -1 moreTwo days of lukewarm water. Called the Kenmore service number and was told that it would be over a week before they could come out. (REALLY?) Called a plumber recommended by a friend and he had Bill Herbert come out. Came over same afternoon, explained the problem, repaired it quickly and efficiently. Huge relief. . .definitely recommend this guy.
Description of Work: Pilot light in water heater wouldn't stay lit. He did the repair - replaced two parts, vacuumed around the area, and placed a filter / belt like thing around the base of the water heater.

Description of Work: Bill Herbert was referred to me for water heater repair by a large plumbing compqny. His only business is water heater repair. He showed up within 30 minutes and fixed my problem quickly AND for $175 less than the estimate I had from another company. IAfter 4 days without hot water I could not be happier! This man has been fixing water heaters ONLY for 50 years. He was charming , personable, and truly a wonderful serviceman. If you need water heater repairs, PLEASE call him!
