D&B Concrete is committed to meet and exceed our customer's goals and expectations and to foster strong, long-term partnerships by delivering the type of results our customers want and deserve through high-quality workmanship, keen attention to detail, diligent hard work and unprecedented performance by every member of our D&B Concrete team. Small family run business. Employs 6 workers. Available for sub-contracting.
You’re in good hands with D & B Concrete which excels in quality work, customer service, pricing, and professionalism. We are very happy with our new concrete front porch, walkway, and extra wide driveway which draw compliments from other people. Dale and his office manager, Mary, provided us with a very positive experience despite our nervousness over weather conditions. Their price was far more reasonable than all the other companies we contacted. As a courtesy to us, D & B also removed and hauled away an old basketball concrete base and large edger stones from around our mailbox at no extra charge. Don’t wait to call D & B Concrete!

We were pleased with the work of Dale and his crew. Dale responded right away and came out to discuss the work the next day. He was very specific about how he would use rebar to ensure porch did not pull away. He called 2 days later with quote which I accepted. Later that day he called an said they were starting a big job and he would like to get ours done first so they actually did the work a few days later. He had 2 additional workers and they removed the old concrete, prepared the area and had the new concrete poured by that afternoon. They came back to powerwash and seal concrete. This was during the height of leaf season and they blew the leaves off the area multiple times so they wouldn't stick or discolor. The price wasn't the cheapest but was reasonable for what was done.
Description of Work: They removed old concrete porch (which had pulled away from house) and sidewalk. Powerwashed and sealed old and new concrete.

My nephew had used D&B Concrete and was satisfied with the work they had done at his home. Dale came out to meet and look at my cracked concrete. he was very nice but did not offer many details as what design he had in mind, just generalities. He took a few measurements and answered all my questions about the concrete product. I had to call days later and ask them to send the proposal. The price was in my budget. They required half of the amount for deposit and I returned the signed contract with the check 09/22/1914. I called to confirm that they had received the check and the signed contract. I had to call again to see if they had an idea when they might do the job as I was going on vacation and the weather was getting colder and I needed to know. The office called on Friday 10/3 to say they were coming maybe on Monday 10/6. I had to scurry around to find someone to disconnect and move my air conditioner and someone to be at my house as I could not get off work with such short notice. They did not call or come on Monday 10/6 but did come on Tuesday but never called. Not knowing when they were going to start the job I did not have anyone there to discuss details. They had not arrived by the time I had to leave for work. Dale called to say they had started the job. I never did get to see or talk to anyone about the final design, or degree of slope of the slab of concrete to inquire about water run off etc.. I would have liked to have seen and talked to someone about the job before, during and/or after the job was finished on 10/15. I am still finding rocks and little waste piles of concrete in the grass as I rake my leaves. It looks fine and I hope it is sloping correctly. I felt they could have communicated the details a little better. They referred me to their Website for questions I had about the care of the new concrete and to call if I had more questions.

I've been working on a large commercial/residential rehab and have dealt with over a dozen different contractors over the past year. Dand B Concrete ranks in the top 3 experiences I've had so far. They were truly great from start to finish. From my first meeting with Dale at the job site, to receiving the proposal which was accurate and fair, to his responsiveness and flexibility in working our project into their busy schedule, to execution of the job with care and a great crew of hard working guys (special thanks to Scotty the foreman for going the extra mile to make sure everything was right), I couldn't be any happier and am just impressed with the quality of this company. If you want a reliable, professional company that delivers with an owner who stands behind the work and follows up, you won't be disappointed.

Our experience with D and B from start to finish is excellent!!! Dale's presentation was the most professional of 4 companies we interviewed. His initial bid was on the higher end, but when we approached him, he was willing to reconsider and came back with a competitive quote. We had a chance to see Dale and his crew at work over 2 to 3 work-days, they were friendly, easy to communicate with, professional and hard-working. Dale was thoughtful and meticulous about his work. In the middle of the project, we had to address an unforeseen issue with our municipality as well as working out scheduling conflict with another construction crew. This allowed us to see that D and B is a company that operates with integrity and professionalism. The end product was beautiful. We could not have been more pleased. It was clear that Dale and his crew care about what they do. Because of their quality of work, integrity, and friendly personality, we can recommend them without any reservation!

The owner was very responsive and showed up within a day of calling him for a bid. The bid was reasonably priced and they did a good job.
Description of Work: They caulked and sealed my patio.
We starting by calling 4 concrete contractors to bid the jobs. One didn't show up. Another we thought was very unprofessional. A third seemed pretty good but had no experience in the project #1 listed above (cutting the existing concrete into tile shaped designs). Dale was definitely the best fit of the 4 contractors we called over. He was very professional, had all the right equipment, experienced, and offered us some very creative ideas that we had not thought of. He laid out several versions of how the tile would look by snapping chalk lines on the floor so we could see different patterns, 12and quot; tiles with 18and quot; borders, 10and quot; tiles with 15and quot; borders, etc. We chose the 12and quot; tiles in the center with the 16and quot; tiles around the border. Then, Dale used a straight edge and a concrete saw and cut (what look like) grout lines into our existing concrete. It really looks like concrete tile with amazingly straight edges! Then, he stained all of the interior 12and quot; tiles a swirly tan color and all of the exterior 16and quot; border tiles a solid brown. He applied two coats of finish and it looks BEAUTIFUL! My wife and I love it. He finished 5 days ago and 4 guests have already asked for his phone number. The 2nd job he performed went great, too. We had several cracks in our aggregate pool decking that were getting worse every winter. To stop the damage, Dale cut the cracks to make them even, then applied a color caulk to fill the gaps. He brought over a sample board of 12 caulk colors for us to match our decking and let us select the best one. After applying the caulk, he sprinkled sand over the caulk to allow it to blend into our aggregate pool decking much better. The 3rd job only took Dale a couple of hours. He cut a 12' section of our driveway, buried a drain pipe that he connected to our downspout, filled it gravel, and buried the pipe downhill away from the house. He advised us to let it settle for 30 days before we asphalt over, and cut plywood sections to fit over the gravel so we could drive over them. He made what I thought was a very difficult job look very easy for a minimal charge. Overall, he did a GREAT job. He was here everyday at 8am and left when he was finished with the job that day. Sometimes, that would be 3pm if the colored stain needed to dry over night. Sometimes, it would be 8pm while he was stripping the existing paint off the porch. He even came up with creative ideas that caused him a lot more work (like painting all the interior grout lines with the color we used for the border to really make the interior pop)! He did not add anything to the bill but it made the finished product look a lot better. He was very easy to work with and my wife and I would recommend him to anyone.
Description of Work: My wife and I had 3 concrete jobs lined up in our backyard so we called 4 concrete contractors over for bids. The 3 jobs were: 1- stripping 3 layers of paint from our concrete floor in our screened-in porch, then use a concrete saw to cut grout-lines in our existing concrete so that the design looked like 12" tiles, then staining the concrete and applying finish. 2- cut the numerous cracks in our aggregate pool decking and fill with caulk to avoid further weathering. 3-Cut a 12' strip in our driveway and bury a pipe from our downspout under the driveway with continued fall away from the house.
