Provided service to install it in an affordable price plus there was a mistake for the installation in which they take full responsibility, replaced the product with a high quality product at their own expense.
Description of Work: I needed some new carpet.

I utilized this company to install hard wood flooring in my living room, dining room, great room and stairs to the 2nd floor. After the installation was completed, I pointed out several areas of concern to the installer. Each time he shrugged my concerns off as “normal” indicating that the end result was the way it should be. I contacted Best Buy Flooring regarding my concerns. After missing the initial appointment, the installer came to my house and I pointed out the deficiencies (yet again). The suggestions by the installer to address the issues were unacceptable. The installer indicated that he was going to contact the store. I waited for the store to contact me after the appointment; when the store did not, I then contacted the store. After speaking with Jeff, I was told that I would be contacted by the owner. I was then contacted by Arnie. Arnie came to my home to review the issues. At that time, Arnie indicated he would have a flooring inspector come out and determine if there were any issues that needed to be resolved. After not hearing from the inspector or the store again, I wrote a letter and included pictures of the issues along with a demand for correction. I was then contacted by another flooring contractor that Arnie asked to contact me. That contractor agreed that there were several issues and indicated he would come back and address them. He never did. I contacted several contractors to come out and give me bids to address the issues. The lowest bid was from a company that provided the bid to install hard wood on the 2nd floor in addition to making the corrections. I then contacted my attorney and he sent a letter to the store reflecting my concerns with the final product. I was then contacted by Suzie from Best Buy Flooring. I informed the store that the lowest bid to address the issue was $800 because it was part of a larger bid for other work. Most of the bids without the additional work were well over $1000. After several discussions, the store decided that it should only cost $600 to address the issue. I told that the store that the amount would not cover the corrections. I said no the offer. A week or so later, I received a letter and a check dated 8/25/2020 in the amount of $600. I have spent the last few weeks contemplating if I would take Best Buy Flooring to court for the additional amount or if I would cash their check and consider the matter close. I still have not decided which option I will take. I did however decide to write a review on multiple sites so that others will be aware of how the store addresses issues with the contractors that they hire. My issues with the installation: • Inaccurate cuts: o Wood butting up to the marble surrounding the fireplace has been cut in varying lengths. The cuts are not the same. Per the installer “this is normal”. o Best Buy suggested putting a hideous threshold around the marble – hiding the incorrect cuts. This is not an acceptable option as the aesthetics are horrible. Covering up the issue doesn’t address the issue. The other option was to add caulk. Also, not an acceptable option. • Gaps in wood along stairs – o On several steps, there are gaps between the wood. Per the installer this is “normal”. Not sure where this is considered normal, but for me, “it is not” and is simply an indication that the installer did not install the wood correctly. o One of the gaps is clearly the bullnose being installed incorrectly o Gaps between riser and wood o Multiple steps have gaps between where the wood starts and the riser ends. Per the installer this is “normal”. o At the time of installation, the “white” risers had marks and stains. Per the installer, that’s how they come, and I will need to paint them. If this is true, this information was never provided to me prior to approval of the bid and installation. o Damage to the walls. Each time a painter comes to my house, they indicate that they will have to charge me to fill the “dings” and smooth out the walls before painting. The issues with the wall were caused by the installer. Per the installer, “he has a painter friend” that only charges about $40 to fix these issues. T o Shoddy workmanship when reinstalling the molding at the bottom of the wall. It looks as if a 10-year-old completed the job. o Several boxes of wood were ordered to ensure we’d have a sufficient amount in the event the boxes contained “bad pieces”. It would appear that the “bad pieces” were used as part of the installation. Multiple pieces of wood include black spots (not sure why those pieces were used – especially since I still have 2.5 boxes of wood left over from the install). This nonconformity substantially impairs the value of the Goods to me.

We stopped by looking for vinyl flooring. We didn't see what we wanted, but they had a very large selection of carpet squares. We found a pattern we liked and took two home to make sure they would work. We returned the next day to buy about 75 squares. A couple of hours before we got there, a contractor who is redoing dorm flooring bought 10,000 square feet of squares, including thepattern we liked. The next day we got a call from the manager, Rick. He explained our situation to his boss and Rick called the contractor to ask him if he could get back the squares we wanted and exchange them. The contractor said OK. So, we got the squares we wanted. This was great service. The salesman, Emmanuel, was also very helpful in making this happen.
Description of Work: Purchased carpet squares from them
