Air Comfort was the third and final bid received for this job. One of the previous quotes was quite a bit higher and one was much lower, hence my reason to get a third quote. Steve Ryan came out to my house and surveyed the site and suggested using the newer R-410A Puron systems. Both of the previous companies had quoted R-22 systems. Steve took the time to explain that while R-22 systems are still currently available, they are being phased out and in the future any system recharging will likely be more costly due to the scarcity of R-22 refrigerant. On the day of the install there was rain forecasted. The technicians ensured that this would not be a problem and were able to get the job done regardless of the rain, which was greatly appreciated since I took the day off to stay home. An issue arose early on regarding the placement of one of the new units. The new units were larger than the old systems and it looked as if it might protrude past the edge of the house. The technician said he would do what he could to make it fit and not have to re-route any electrical or mechanical lines. Sure enough, they were able to make it happen and it looks fine. Also the technicians did not seem to mind me inquiring what, how, and why they were doing while installing the system. They answered my questions and satisfied my curiosity. Nice job Al and Jason!

We had the new unit installed April 27 2012, three weeks later on Sunday May 20th the air conditioner stopped working and when I checked the unit the pipes were frozen. I immedeiately called the emergency number and was told that if the pipes are frozen there was nothing that could be done before the next day, so they scheduled an appt for the following Monday afternoon. When the technician arrived it took him approx. an hour to determine that the unit had been sent from the manufacturer not fully charged. He then added more freon and left. Then on Monday June 4th the same problem occured. I immediately called and was told they would be out that afternoon to take a look at it. I then called the salesman Mr.Ryan that sold us the unit and expressed my concern over the continueous problems we seemed to be having over this brand new unit. He explained he would be getting the service manager involved. That afternnoon a technician arrived and told us the connection bewtween the air conditioner and house had a leak and assured us that he knew what he was doing and the problem had been fixed. If Air Comfort is a reputable company why did it take two additional technicians and 2 additional half days off work to get the problem fixed?????? At this point the air conditioner is working and we are keeping are fingers crossed it will continue. They did add an additional year coverage on labor. however it was given verbally so we are not feeling very confident in the company at this point.

i have 2 air conditioning units so i purchased 2 of their $69.00 cleaning specials. I received next day service. The technician, Connor Molloy, was very competent. Cleaned and checked the units very well and advised me in terms I could understand the problems I was having with both units

Purchased the special, called the company and scheduled the work. The guy came to the house and did the job along with explaining anything he thought I needed to know. Informed me that I would get a coupon in the mail for maintance. (I haven't gotten it yet.)

I had asked about a ductless split system as a possible solution. Matt gave me a ballpark estimate given the configuration of my house, which is more than we were wanting to spend. He gave me some cheaper alternatives, checked the airflow of our central AC, the condition of the AC and compressor, closed some floor registers to help get more air upstairs, and provided information about their HVAC maintenance plan. I really appreciate his honesty, professionalism, and providing economical alternatives.

Came when they said they would and installed it in a professional manner.

Mark did a thorough job as always. We did not have to pay anything for this service because we are on an annual contract. Mark arrived on time (actually a little early) and went right to work. We have been very pleased with the service we recieve from Air Comfort.

We were very pleased with the work done, how thorough our tech was and how nice in explaining what was done and what would be needed in the future.

We had been using somebody else and they had not been doing a good job. I read in Angie's List that Air Comfort was highly recommended. We called Air Comfort and they sent out a fellow who spent an hour and a half here just analyzing the problem which was very complex with the air conditioner. We realized that the person who had remodeled the house had completely screwed up in the way that they had designed the ventilation system and that the other company was using improper chemicals in the air conditioner. They were not using the new environmental coolant system. We decided to hire Air Comfort to replace the air conditioners and furnaces and they did a phenomenal job. They corrected a problem that was created by two other people. The person who did the analysis spent an extensive amount of time with the workmen to make sure they did it right. I was very impressed. In addition, they did everything they could to rehab the furnace. It turned out that it had a lifetime warranty that we didn't know about which cut the cost substantially.

Chris Valentine arrived on time. He put on his booties so as not to track any dirt into my house. He was very pleasant and easy to talk to. He did a excellent check of my system and made recommendations.

The tech came in checked, cleaned system and did not leave a mess behind. System works as good as new.

Our dryer stopped running. Based on the reviews here @ Angie's List, we called Randy at Air Comfort Service on Monday. He was booked until Wednesday, but came first thing that morning. He determined that the motor had gone out and had to order the part. He came back the next day with the new motor and installed it. He's great to work with, does what he says he's going to do, when he says he's going to do it, and his fees are reasonable. He will be our first call if we need appliance repair again.

Called them on a Friday a little after 3PM. They were here by 5:30 and got the work done promptly. Did not attempt to snow job me into additional work. Repairman was polite and professional.

I got them from Angie’s List, and they did a wonderful job. The guy was all professional, he did a wonderful job, and he was above and beyond. The regular price for the humidifier was $850 and I paid only $425. He did everything in just three hours, and he did everything really nice. I would tell my friends and family members to use him.

I called Air Comfort Service while considering their Angieslist big deal coupon for a humidifier install. I spoke to Heather on all the logistics and she had me talk to Cory about my questions about their services and what would be best for my house. He was so patient with me and answered all my questions clearly and fully. He told me alternatives and ways I could save some money, based on my goals. He was so helpful, I asked him who he recommended for duct cleaning and he gave me two names, one of which I chose. The day of the install, the man who did it was very courteous and professional. Once he finished he walked me through the usage and maintenance of the system. I had never had a whole house humidifier, so he again was very patient and showed me the answers to my questions rather than just telling me. I imagine we will use Air Comfort for all of our HVAC needs from now on.

The technician was nice, pleasant and did excellent work, the install looks great, he cleaned up after himself, showed me how to work the control panel, very nice and polite. The house is already feeling better!

The 1st floor furnace on my recently-purchasef foreclosure broke down unexpectedly and I bid the work out to a few local companies. By far, ACS was the most honest, detailed, inexpensively priced, and efficient of all of the companies that I bid the work to--perhaps the best of any company I've ever worked with. Not only were they exacting in their solution for the immediate problem (dead furnace), they advised me about how to improve the overall efficiency of the system and extend the life for the future. Their comprehensive solution was the most logical of all of the providers, and they were great about educating me as to the reasoning behind their ideas. They completed the work extremely quickly, were very neat, and extremely customer-service oriented, as well as the lowest-priced and most logical of all of the companies that looked at the job. Further, my parents have worked with them on the commercial side and have had the exact same experience. Amazing company with great, honest, caring employees. I have a 2nd floor AC unit that died at the end of last summer, and will not waste any time securing multiple bids. ACS will be my sole provider for any HVAC work for the future. A big thanks to Jim Crosswhite (who primarly deals with the commercial side) for being such a huge help in organizing.

My old unit was functioning poorly and I decided that I needed to replace it with a new high efficiency unit. I wasn't sure if the old unit was big enough or if its age was causing it to not cool adequately. I also wanted an alternative air filter solution since it was located in a place that was very hard to change. I had 3 companies with different but comparable quality brands of air conditioners give me bids on the work. I was favorably impressed with the professionalism and proposals of all 3 companies. They all performed heat load analysis and made sizing recommendations. When the data was in, my primary discriminator was length of warranty. There was less than 1% difference in cost, but 2 suppliers had 10 year parts warranty and 1 supplier had 5 year labor warranty a full 3 years longer than anyone else. Thus, I chose Air Comfort. Matt Brewer from Air Comfort was very thorough in his inspection and evaluation of solutions for my situation. He was the only one that identified pin holes in my gas furnace flue pipe and included replacement in the bid. Based on his cooling analysis, he provided pros and cons of the two potential size units to trade operating efficiency verses cooling capability. We decided on the same 2 ton unit as the old one but with a larger cooling coil as the best tradeoff. He also recommended condensate water overflow sensor and a new location for my air filter. The installation was started and completed on the schedule promised and there were no surprises on the bill. The system worked fine through the remainder of the cooling season. There was a factory service bulletin several months after installation and Air Comfort called me and quickly came by and performed the service at no cost.

The job went really well. They were very professional. When they came out for the quote, they gave all of our options. They were good with explaining the job. When they came out, they did all of the work smoothly.

Our heater would not work at all. Air Comfort came out within 2 hours and checked out the unit. We were extremely surprised when the repairman, John, told us the exhaust pipe had a wasp nest in it which was causing the heater's safety system to switch the unit off. The total cost to repair including the service charge would be $126.00 The major reason for our surprise was that we had just had another well known company come out to look at the unit. This company had quoted $1460.00 to repair the same unit. They also told us they could install a new heater and air conditioner that same afternoon for a mere $8800.00. I'm sure glad we got a second opinion from Air Comfort. I appreciate John's honesty and professionalism. If we do need a new unit in the future, Air Comfort will be one of the first companies we call.

It went very well. The HVAC professional was on time, courteous, and very quick with the inspection. He did a thorough check of the unit and let me know of the condition. I had to pay an extra amount of money due to some faulty wiring within the unit. Overall, this company is a A+ in my book.

They did a fantastic job and the guy was very pleasant. It was the first time I have used them and I was pleased. I will use them again in the future.

I received a call while I was traveling for Thanksgiving that my furnace wasn't working. Thank goodness Angie's List is accessible from anywhere! Air Comfort Service was able to come out to the house the morning after Thanksgiving to diagnose the problem. Since I was out of town they had to coordinate with a neighbor to get into the house and then keep me informed via phone what was going on. It's always awkward having someone in your house while you're gone but Air Comfort Service was prompt, on top of everything, and kept me informed. I would certainly use or recommend them again.
