We came home to find both ACs were not working. A technician came and determined that the capacitors on both units had blown. We decided to also get a service agreement with them that covered both ACs and furnaces for a year. All of units were inspected and cleaned. Two days later one of the units stopped functioning. Called them back and they came back free of charge. A 2nd technician determined a small problem was missed the first time and fixed it for free. Three days later and I had another problem with the same unit. This time the problem was something unrelated to the previous visits but despite that they decided not to charge us for the service call. A very professional company that didn't try to gouge us. I would recommend them.

Scheduler was able to get me a quick appointment. Guy showed up exactly when he was supposed to and they called ahead to let me know they were coming. He did a thorough job checking the lines, cleaning the fins, checking the HVAC unit, and checking the pressure. He cleaned up after himself and explained what he saw. He did a great job.

Our AC has been shutting itself off due to being overworked. Had Air Comfort come out and diagnose the problem, was hoping it was just in need of freon charge, but it turned out the evaporator coil was busted (which could be fixed for $300-500) but because the outside unit was 19 years old they recommended an entire new unit. Quoted a 3 ton unit with new coil for $3250 (that's installed, labor, taxes, everything). I didn't accecept and called around for quotes. Found an individual contractor to do the job for $2050. So spent a lot, but saved a bundle!!! They were very professional, did try and upsell me a little. Were prompt in arrival time and courerous through the entire process. A good company certainly, but I think they need to charge more to cover all the overhead.

When my A/C went out during a 105°F heat-wave, I gave these guys a call. They were able to show up within 4 hours, right as estimated. Rather than repairing the serious freon leak in my aged A/C, I decided to replace the whole central air with a new high-efficiency system (a little ahead of my planned schedule, but why put parts into something I'm just going to replace in a year). To get me through the day, they charged up the old system with freon (for free), which gave me just enough cooling to get through the day. The new system is amazing, and the installer were great. They did an outstanding job of working around my old house's peculiarities. They expended the time, effort and materials to do the job right instead of just doing what was quick and cheap. All the lines and wires were cleanly routed, and everything else was carefully fitted. A professional job in the highest sense of the word. The final bill was exactly what I was first quoted.

We purchased a special deal through angies list to have the preventive AC maintenance. The technician was on time and did the work, I did not oversee his work. After performing his inspection he informed me the freon level was so low that 2 gallons were needed and said if I signed up for a maintenance plan they had it would be slightly less expensive than paying for the charging of Freon by itself. Based on my trust to Angie's List, I agreed to sign up for the maintenance plan. First, I did not oversee the work. So, I do not know if they were doing what they say were being done. Second, when I asked the cause(s) of the unit low on Freon, I was told he did not know and suggested to wait until next year's preventive AC maintenance. If freon is low again, they will then start to diagnosis the problem. I was a little disappointed then, but kinda thinking this type of approach is acceptable to a certain extent. Interestingly, less than 2 months after this prevention service, our A/C filters needs to be checked!!! So, I called the company and explained situation. They asked for $$ + fuel charge for coming and checking. Moreover, the representative was not friendly neither.Well, we will not use their service, although I signed up for their maintenance plan. We just cannot trust them anymore.

The man who came to perform the service was very professional and a well mannered person.

Recent transplant from Dallas to Chesterfield. We had some concerns with our a/c unit when moving in and called (ACS) to come give us a quote on what it might take to fix up to a better standard. Long story short is Matt, our consultant was the nicest most helpful salesman I can long remember. He went above and beyond the call to help walk us through things we can do in the interim while we decide our next course of action and even made a special trip out after hours to help with an issue we I had a question on. I cannot speak for much on any other service oriented company yet in the St louis area but for one that I cannot speak more highly on is ACS (Matt). (If he is a reflection of ACS as a whole, then you should have no issues with the service they perform for you.) -Tim

The technician cleaned our system and then, in response to our complaint that it wasn't working so well, looked at the amount of coolant it had. He diagnosed a significant shortage of coolant and filled it on the spot for what seemed like a reasonable fee, but I honestly have no frame of reference. We just needed a functioning A/C stat. It has functioned well ever since.

The air conditioner stopped working during a very hot week of May. We called Air Comfort and they arrived the following day during the time frame they gave me. After a quick diagnostic look, they found specific issues couldn't be resolved without buying a new AC due to unavailable parts (very old AC). The following day, an employee came out and removed the old AC, replaced the new AC and cleaned up his mess. He was respectful and professional. Overall, it was a smooth, thorough process. We got cool air with no fuss.

It was a simple service call. the dispatcher gave me a time window (Monday afternoon), and then called back when he was on his way, and he arrived as predicted. He got to work, found the problem, prepared the estimate for a new furnace, and was on his way in about 45 minutes. The charge of $86 was very reasonable, in my opinion.

John did a great job, was early, and cleaned up after.

I have a big problem with them. I paid them quite a bit of money. The duct work is not complete. They told me that the old part was good enough but it’s not good. I’m very angry with them. I would tell others not to use them. I will not use them in the future. I was working with the sales representative rather than the people who knew what had to be done. They took out the money without my authorization from my account.

We were extremely pleased with the service rep and the support line. No upsale, no rehashing. A totally professional operation from start to stop.

They called us prior to coming out and arrived as promised. John knew what the problem was immediately and ordered a new wheel for us. We had to wait until the wheel arrived (which was the same day) and John came back & installed it. We also purchased a maintenance agreement with them because John did such a great job and the service was excellent. The total we spent included the maintenance agreement in which they come out twice a year and inspect and clean the furnace prior to winter and inspect and clean the air conditioner prior to summer. I would highly recommend them for air conditioning service and/or furnace service.

Tech was courteous and professional in performing the work. No problems were found although he said I will need to replace a contact or going forward. His charge was $300 +which I thought was high. I will perform the replacement.

My A/C has been going in and out for weeks and the guy who had been fixing it kept telling me it was fine. I called Air Comfort to get a second opinion and they quickly diagnosed that the other repairman had used an incorrect motor for my compressor. It was undersized and kept overheating and tripping the safety circuit. The guys who came were professional and courteous and did a great job. I will definitely call them again.

During the record breaking heat wave in late June, our AC unit stopped cooling our home. This was on a Friday evening after 5 p.m. I quickly checked the List and found very good ratings for Air Comfort Service, Inc. and saw that not only were they open late in the evening, they also had a discount coupon. I called and spoke with Lisa who was very friendly and took my information. She told me what a service call would cost that evening (including the fuel charge) and when I asked, she said a service call scheduled on Saturday would run $30 cheaper. I asked for a Saturday call and Lisa advised they would call and let me know when a technician was on their way. She also made sure I understood to have the system off so that it would be cool and not overheated when the technician arrived for service. After a warm night in the house, I imagined it would be late in the day before we received a heads up. I was truly surprised when Lisa called before 8:30 a.m. on Saturday and said a technician was available. Within 10 minutes, Terry, the Air Comfort technician arrived. He was very personable and professional. He asked what I had noticed with the system to give him some idea of the problem. Terry ran diagnostics on our AC unit. He determined that the reason our system was not cooling was because the dual capacitor needed to be replaced. Terry had the item in his service van; he quickly repaired the system and put it back in operation. He checked voltages, amp draw and electrical. He also checked the in house unit to verify it was cycling and properly cooling the air, that the drain line was open and that the filter did not need changing. Terry asked if I had any questions and also gave suggestions on how to clean and check parts of the system to insure continued proper operation. When asked, he also explained their preventative maintenance program. The bill was reasonable and the discount coupon helped lower the cost. I am truly grateful for the fast, professional, and efficient response from Air Comfort Service, Inc. It was truly a blessing to find Air Comfort Services, Inc. on the list and to have our system repaired so quickly.

Came home from vacation to a iced over AC unit during a stretch of 100 degree days. Called first thing Friday morning at 7am and they had someone at my house before 9am and that wasn't emergency service either! Andy did a great and quick job diagnosing the issue. He then provided the estimate to make the repairs and was finished with everything to include cleaning the unit out within about an hour. I was so impressed by the company that I chose to have them come back in the fall for a furnace checkup.

It was a Big Deal that I purchased. They were good. I booked the appointment and the guy came out and he was knowledgeable and answered all my questions. He did a pretty good job and I had no complaints. I will use them again.

I appreciate the fact that the service coordinator called a day ahead because we would be the first appt. for that day. The technician arrived on time and he was very courteous. He started by checking the A/C system down the basement and checked its cooling abilities by measuring the temp. drop. He then checked the condensing unit and suggested that the power contactor wasn't going to last through this summer and should be replaced. We did adhere to his suggestions but felt it was a little sales pitch mixed in a little scare tactic. He also measured the line pressure and recharged about a pound of refrigerant. Again, he advised us that the drop of the line pressure indicates a leak somewhere in the system. I would agree with his assessment but knowing also that no system would be perfect after 15 years of services. The diagnose fee would be in hundreds of dollars and become much more expensive than recharging the refrigerant every 10 years or so. After tuning up the system, the tech. hosed down the condensing unit completely. Overall, the experience was good and I would recommend their services to angie's members.

Terry did a great job at each location, very easy to talk to so I could understand what was being done. Both a/c units have been running and working great.

.Interviewed 3 companies. First wanted to push a brand I felt was poorer quality, but when I suggested Carrier, he said it was too difficult to give quick price and then failed to ever give a quote. Second came up with a Carrier solution, but insisted on adding on additional upgrades and jacked the price up about $1200 and pressed for instant sign-up to get nominal discount. Air Comfort salesman also took part in installation.
