Amant's Floor Care

They arrived on time. They were very careful when bringing all the equipment in and they cleaned up before they left due to rain. Our floors needed a lot of love and when they were finished, they looked brand-new. We were pleased with the outcome and their customer service. Thank you so much!

It went very well. Kevin Amant was able to meet me the day I called and I had a bid within a couple of days. The workers arrived on time, did a great job and left the work areas cleaned when they left.

We came home to a bright, shinny floor - which were sure would be rectified. Mr. Amant, without looking at the floor, told us it was due to reapplication of product (he never warned us about this possibility when he quoted the price and agreed to do the job). He conceded that the floor was shinny and we agreed the work was well done but not low sheen which is what we requested. We expressed our disappointment but paid our bill with in 24 hrs. We proceeded to get 3 other opinions all of whom agreed that this was not a low sheen finish and provided estimates to fix the problem. We specifically did not give them the name of the company that had completed the work out of respect for our previous business relationship. We contacted Mr. Amant and gave him the opportunity to fix it and he sent his crew out to do a sample area with a different process. The new process was still not low sheen. He offered to refund our money if we chose to go with a different company, which we did and accepted the refund on the portion of the kitchen floor only. We then got two phone calls where he demanded to know what company we were using. Second phone call voicemail: "Let me know what company is redoing your floor so I know who that might be. I just figure since I am cutting / have cut you a check for $595 that you are hopefully going to have somebody redo the floor for I sure hope I am not cutting you a check and you are not living with a floor that looks pretty darn nice there." Still no check. Still shinny floor when we wanted low sheen. We are returning the check uncashed (if/when we receive it) and yes having our floor redone. Beware - Mr. Amant does not take kindly to discussion and when things are not right he is confrontational. We are truly sad that a company we had used for over 5 years, referred friends to, and given great reviews can have an owner who acuses dissatisfied customers of pocketing money. We are looking forward to putting this experience behind us, getting our floor redone and not having to talk with Mr. Amant again.

The results were horrible. Attached is a photo of just one area. They highly recommended that I screen and polyurethane the entire main level (open floor plan) so shine difference were not obvious, so I took their advice. Prior to service, 90% of my brand new floors were perfect and spectacular looking. I had the work done to address concerns on the other 10%. After their work it was the complete opposite. The 10% I wanted to address was protected, but the other 90% turned out way worse than it previously was. Lint and hair were sealed in throughout the house and it is very obvious to any eye. There are literally lint and hair issues in about every square foot of the house and I can't do anything about it since it is sealed in. I could have done a better job vacuuming up the lint and hair myself. Some of the hair is long, curled hair! The owner came by and offered to redo the work. He avoided the subject of a refund when I brought it up, even thought I could even argue for damages. But why would I have faith in them doing a better job the second time. It is such a inconvenience to move out of your house, so I would not take that risk with them. I would not recommend this service ever. I actually don't see how anybody would have the service done it if the results are anywhere close to mine.

They did a good job. Left it a little damper than prior cleanings.

As with our carpet cleaning, Amants did a great job cleaning our floors. Always prompt and professional, and more than happy to answer any questions about cleaning process or how to maintain floors in between major cleanings like this. Excellent locally owned company that treats their employees well. All seem to have been with company for many years, and everyone is very friendly.

I am a Realtor and have had clients use Amants and I recommend them and have met the owners, but I have not used them myself.

Job was done in accordance with described work plan. Workers were very professional and considerate.

The entire staff, from owner, to scheduler, to the employees who performed the services, were professional, courteous, punctual and did an excellent job. Would highly recommend.

Phillip arrived as scheduled and went about his work. He was very friendly. The work was done in a very professional manner. He was very good at his work and protected the newly painted walls. The job was finished in a very reasonable time and all went well. It was easy to schedule the work, the people were very friendly and knowledgeable. I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them.

Excellent although it took longer to dry than I realized it would.

The work takes about 1.5 hours (marble foyer and stone bathroom.) The same person has been coming for several years in a row, so he knows my house and the flooring well. I really like that.

Was given a time between 11-1pm and crew of two came a 12. Rick was the crew leader and they reviewed what needed to be done and got to work right away. I had removed a lot of the item in the kitchen already but they removed the heavier bulkier items. I want in my basement office and was simply available for problems if they arouse. They did not--intense scrubbing, vacuuming stripping and sealing was done for two and a half hours. So that is two guys working steady for two and a half hours and they knew what they were doing. I probably could have done this cheaper with a DYI project and rentals but ohhh the aggravation of working with my husband and probably would have taken two days not two hours, is sooooo worth the price and what a nice job. It really was beautiful. Even my husband said how good the floor looked when he got home, and he is NOT easy to please.

They came and refinished a brick floor that we had. They came, they took care of the problem, they finished the job, and we were very happy with them.

They were great! Kevin came and gave us a bid the same day we called because he was in the area, and when I called to expand the work he would be doing a few days before the scheduled service date, they said it was no problem. The service team was prompt and professional. We will definitely use them again.

The guys that did the work were really good and professioal and the work was good too.

Amant's service person was both punctual and professional. We've used Amant's twice and the same service person performed our carpet cleaning. He described what he would be doing, how long it would take, and what we could expect in terms of the amount of time it would need to dry. In other words, he managed our expectations accurately and he performed his work with care and according to what he had described. The truck he used and the equipment he used were visibly clean and well cared for. He wore a clean uniform and appeared very professional. In all, both experiences with Amant's have been positive, and we plan on using them again in the future.

I lived in my house for 5 years. When I purchased the house, the tile and grout were dirty, but I thought I could clean and remove the discoloration from the grout. Several attempts with different grout "cleaners" were unsuccessful. I previously hired a company that said they could clean the tile and grout, but that company made little difference in the grout appearance. Amants delivered on making the grout much, much cleaner (not perfect, but perfect wasn't promised). Amants was able to make a very noticeable difference in my tile floor. The crew was very professional and nice. The crew are all employees with Amants (not contractors) and even the "newest" member had been with the team several years. I think the fact that the crew are true 'in it for the long haul' employees, really makes a difference. Very happy with Amants.

There was a problem when pulling painters tape off of baseboard as it peeled off paint in places, but not sure the source of that problem. (Stripper, baseboard paint or blue painter's tape??) Important thing is the very next day to guys showed up to sand and repaint base boards like new so I am happy. Sometimes these things happen and have to do with chemistry of stripper and paint and primer on baseboard etc, so I would still use them again. Suggest they do some lab experiments to figure out cause of this problem. Also some confusion on my part about moving furniture back next day, so i had to do myself and placed towels under big pieces and dragged them which did leave track marks on finish. So find someone to help you move heavy pieces and pick them OFF the floor. They also used CLEAN mops unlike previous company whose mops left lots of hairs, debris under the floor seal which could be seen. Overall, a much better floor seal product.... a softer sheen instead of blinding "wet shine" look which was blinding when sun shined on the black floor.

They were super nice people, but we had to have them come back because they missed quite a few spots on the floor. They were good people and they were willing to come back out and re-do the work. Overall we think they were above average.

Amants Floor Car gave me a very reasonable price and the floors looked fantastic.They were punctual. The only issue that I had was when the guy was putting down the polyurethane, there was a drip that went down the wall, down the stairs to the basement and it took me awhile to repair but I don't really blame them for that, I think that was a freak occurrence. I would highly recommend them. I would definitely use them again.

Amants is very reliable and reasonably priced compared to other well known carpet cleaners in town. They have also cleaned our tile floors very well. I have used them twice and will continue to call them as our needs arise.
