The person they sent out – he took the whole day to paint a small room (a sunroom with several windows). I've had it painted before and it's never taken that long. He took a break and came back. He was painting with a roller, and it was drying bumpy. I complained, but he didn't do anything differently. He also left some tape on the trim that he didn't pull off before he left.

. The next highest bid for the same services was $4,700. Mr. Turner was very professional and so forth but I felt that his approach was a tad bit expensive

I was very impressed w/the way Mr. Turner and his men presented themselves. They did a very good job and I would certainly hire them again.

The project went completely smooth. Ken was very easy to get in touch with throughout the project and very responsive to any questions I had. Ken and his crew showed up as planned and stayed committed to our project until they were completely finished (ahead of schedule). Each of the workers were very professional and took great care while doing their work. I have nothing but good things to report about Ken and his crew.

Interior painting was originally scheduled to be completed around 2nd wk in May but due to a forecasted rain day, Ken's team of 5 very professional painters knocked out most of the interior painting job in one day 2 wks ahead of schedule! I wasn't prepared for them to complete most of the job in one day (I hadn't moved furniture, taken down curtains, etc) but the crew did it. Ken said it was originally going to take about a week to complete so I was thrilled with the rain day! Don and Mark came back the next day for a 1/2 day of touch-ups and completion. They were excellent, very good painters, had been painting for many years. I hadn't hired professional painters before and was thrilled with this crew. The carpenter came out the day after I hired Ken's team and did an excellent job.

On Friday 5/2 Ken and two employees, Chuck and Kevin, arrived at the agreed upon time. Chuck and Kevin dived into wallpaper removal and at the end of the first day they cleaned up all the mess and vacuumed and dusted before they left. The following Monday they completed the wallpaper removal and started some wall prep again cleaning up at the end of the day. After that I said it was okay to leave some of their work tarps etc. in place if they wanted to -- this enabled them to get right to work each day. Ken was in and out several times during the week checking on progress and determining what paint colors I wanted. Chuck and Kevin, while professional, were also very personable and easy to work with. They had all the details down to a science and while I gave Ken a B for price (we always want a cheaper price) the work was top notch and I couldn't be more pleased with the final product. I would highly recommend this company.

The painters arrived nearly on time, approximately 10 minutes late, and quickly began to cover furniture and tape off the area. They worked steadily over the 4-hour time frame. It took them all of 4 hours to apply one coat of paint and barely completed my living room in time. Thank goodness I purchased quality paint because their hourly rate, had it required more time, was very high. However, as I assessed their work after they'd left, I discovered several areas where they missed (spotted paint coverage). Fortunately, the sparse places are in areas I can reach. Overall, I feel they did a good job but not an excellent job (especially for a two-man crew). I'd rate them a B+ if it were an option.

Overall experience was good considering this is my first use of Angie's List. Mr. Turner was very prompt in contacting me at all times. I read the "Big Deal" to mean the entire service would cost $200.00, not that this amount would be included in an estimate of all services provided.

There were no troubles with scheduling and they were nice. They were there for about eight hours and cleaned up well after the work was complete. Everything was great!

It went poorly. The day the job was first performed, we were unhappy with the quality of workmanship. Some gouges in the wall had not been filled in, and the air intake registers and light switch covers had not been removed prior to painting. They were simply painted over. W e called the owner /manager back out to the house. He argued with us that they paint over these items as a matter of policy, but we pointed out that this policy makes it hard for us to replace them in the future -- because we couldn't ever get new registers or switch plates smaller than the existing ones. He was reluctant to do any work, but we talked him into patching over the gouges and doing some touch up work. He patched over the gouges, yes -- and then he ran out the door. We had to phone him to ask if/when he was going to come back to do the painting. He said he would come back the next day, which he did do. He slapped one coat of paint over the patches and ran out again. This time, we did a quick inspection of the work, and then ran after him. He had missed some spots that still needed paint. He came back and finally painted over all the spots that had been prepped. We could really tell that the owner/manager didn't want to do the rework; he argued with us over the validity of painting over the registers and light switches; and even with the Angie's List deal, the overall experience was not worth the hassle and frustration for the price paid. ==================================== Update (4/18/2014) -- This painter claims to how never done any work for us; however, he called both me and my husband today. My husband talked to him, and now the painter does remember and confirm doing this job. Sidenote: I might understand how he got my phone number, since it's on my Angie's List account, but how did he get my husband's number if he never did the work? And how did his number get into both of our contacts lists as Ken Turner if this isn't him?

Great experience and great quality of work. We were very satisfied with the work done and would use them again for painting work!

My experience with them was very good. My wife was here when working with them, I didn't really meet with them but they did a fine, nice job and did what we wanted them to do. In four hours, we haven't painted the ceilings because we do our own painting but they did a couple of ceilings and then the dining room kitchen was kind of a one space so he painted that and one bathroom ceiling. I would use them again.

They responded promptly and I had no complaints with them. They came out and made the estimate. They were prompt and everything was fine. I did not go forward with the work.

It was fine. It didn't give me what I was expecting out of it. They didn't charge me further than the price of the deal.

It went great. He showed up on time and worked steady the whole time he was here. He was actually able to complete more work than he had originally thought.

Good. Took awhile to get done due to conflicting schedules but it was done professionally.

The crew was thorough and friendly. Impressive work and I was completely satisfied with the end result. Highly recommended!!!

Very Expensive. The bid I received for re-texturing my ceilings and painting them was at least three times higher than the contractor I decided to go with.

We recently bought a house that was covered completely top to bottom in wallpaper. I contacted Turner Painting Co. during the week of 1/27/14 and spoke with the owner, Ken Turner, to set up a walkthrough/estimate on the morning of 2/3. Initially we had scheduled the walkthrough for that afternoon, but due to my own conflicts we rescheduled for the morning and Ken made himself available. After the walkthrough, Ken gave us a price to remove the wallpaper and paint the living room and said his crew could start the very next day. I through the price was very reasonable, and Ken had several outstanding reviews on Angie's list, so we decided to proceed. Ken was very upfront about the uncertainties of wallpaper removal and the condition of the walls following removal and how that might require some additional patching after the removal was complete. He was also very willing to work with our fairly demanding schedule - we were attempting to coordinate moving our stuff into the house at the same time this work would be happening. Ken and his crew started the job the next day and were able to remove the wallpaper from the living room relatively quickly. The living room was finished and painted by the end of the second day. The kitchen and master bed/bath, however, required much more time and effort with the wallpaper coming off in small strips and in some places taking a portion of the drywall with it. On the fourth (or fifth, I can't remember exactly) day I spoke with Ken to expand the work to include drywall patching and repair for the areas (except for the living room) that had already had wallpaper removed. As before, his prices were very reasonable so we decided to proceed. Also at that time, we discussed altering the scope of work for the remaining wallpaper upstairs; specifically, to prime and mud over the remaining wallpaper rather than remove it so as to avoid the need for more post-removal patching. From there, the remaining work progressed quickly and concluded on 2/12. Everything looks great. Ken and all of his workers were very professional, skilled, and accommodating to our schedule. I am very satisfied with the quality of work and would certainly hire Turner Painting Co. again for future home improvement. We got precisely what we asked for at the agreed-to price. Much thanks to Ken Turner and his crew.

The painters were on time, acted professionally, and cleaned up after themselves. However, I had to have them return multiple times to go over some spots that they missed. I probably won't have them back for this reason.

He was on time and ready to go to work. Did a very good job, he was fast and left everything clean. Would definitely use Turner Painting again.

They did a good job. The work was done well; it wasn't any extraordinary. The quality was good.

The painters were neat and worked with care. They did not get as much done as I had been told they could get done in the time they were to be here under the deal so I paid for an extra hour for two painters as I recall. They also were to repaint a small area of new siding that had had one coat that I put on earlier. That did not get doen as far as could see from the differences in color. It may just be that the job became more than the man who estimated what they could do for the deal had planned.
