Price was high and clean up wasn't great

Janie and her son Jayse came right on time when scheduled. I purchased my own paint except for ceiling paint. They repaired the walls, and also a crack in my ceiling where house had settled. They repainted the ceiling and walls perfectly. Janie recaulked around my vanity. The job was done on time and it is perfect, I mean to say PERFECT. Very professional duo , and they worked fast but expertly . You get what you pay for. It is expensive but the job they did was absolutely worth it. Janie and Jayse are super nice people and I really appreciate them. They made zero mess. They cleaned everything after they were done. If you want a job done well consider them as they were fantastic. Janie even cleaned my underside of the skylight . Way beyond what most people would do. It is pricey but fair. Thanks.

We recently downsized and moved to a home in Kansas City north. All of the walls on 2 floors either needed painting or color scheme changed. We had used Ken Turner Painting at our previous location so we contacted them and another contractor for bids. Turner Painting bid was slightly lower and we had complete confidence in them from our previous service. There was no disappointment in any aspect of this job. They showed up when promised and the attention to detail is meticulous. The paint was included in the bid and they use Benjamin Moore paint unless you prefer something else. Again, we couldn't have been more pleased or the value of work performed. It took about 8 working days to complete.

Great..I was very pleased. My painters Jane and Jace were on time, professional, friendly, in addition to doing a great job. I would definitely use Ken's company again and would request Jane and Jace. Should you need a painting company I recommend giving this company a call.

It went very well. They were here early, looked at the needed repairs and started working. They worked without a break except for lunch. They were fast, professional and cleaned up after themselves...I am very pleased with the job they did. Would and will definitely hire them again.

The two painters arrived early. They arrived arrived on time, were very courteous, and did an excellent job! We would highly recommend them to our friends.

Extremely well. I am a returning customer and am happy to say that the interior of my home is now courtesy of Ken Turner and has able crew. His crew, Jane & Jace, were professional and yet very personal and friendly. I felt very comfortable with them in and out of my home for over a week. From start to finish (Ken giving me an estimate, to picking paint colors to Jane & Jace working hard each day to accomplish my goals), I appreciate the transformation my home was undergoing.

They were excellent. My husband built this house, and there is a lot of wood work in it. Lots of wood work. They painted it. Took them three days. It was a huge painting project. It took them three days to do it. They were unbelievable. They were so good. These people were unbelievable The nicest people ever. We have really high ceilings. The ceilings in our living room are twenty three feet above the floor. We always did everything for ourselves in the past. I told my husband we have got to find somebody to do this. That's too high up, they going to have to use scaffolding. We just can't do this anymore. He has had cancer, and I have tons of body problems. You know back problems. So I told him we have to get somebody else to do this. I can't remember how many he had with him. These people were unbelievable. His first name is Ken. Unbelievably nice people. Incredible job. I have yet to find a drip of paint on the wood work yet. I'm still bragging on it. The best one. They were so good. I left them cookies, and coffee,and tea out on the first day. They were so good. The lady who did the trim work, you could tell she was the second in command. When he left, she would tell them what to do. We have had things to be done that was unbelievable. My house is Victorian. It has tons of wood trim. My boards around the room, are six inches along, and there is not a drop of paint on them. Beams in the ceiling twenty three feet in the air, not a drop of paint in the them. Just unbelievable. I knew they needed scaffolding, because the ceiling was so high. They had guys flat footed on the floor, using rollers, and did not get any paint anything. Unbelievable. The best workers that I have ever seen.It looks like we built it, before we put the wood up. Just the best company. He asked what hours we wanted to work. I said I like you to be here at eight. They never missed a day. They were here by eight. One or two pulled in before eight, and sat there until eight. Came and knock on the door. Just incredible. Absolutely. I would never use anybody else.

A "friend" of my in-laws painted their ceiling in the living room. Within a week, the popcorn ceiling started peeling. Ken Turner came out and gave us an estimate for the entire job. But the popcorn ceiling wasn't cooperating and didn't come off as easily as we thought. The job took a little longer and they had to sand the ceiling. In the process, they noticed that my in-laws had a leak from their cupola on the roof. Ken mentioned some one that he knew that could help. Larry Woodall came out and gave an estimate on the roof. Ken and his crew proceeded mudding and sanding the ceiling. Afterwards, they painted it and it looked great! Everyone was very nice and friendly to my mother-in-law and father-in-law (both in their 90's). One of Ken's crew (I can't remember her name), came back and touched up areas around the edge. They did excellent work and I would definitely hire them again!

They did a good job. It was worth the money. They didn't get everything off the wall, we still had to sand it down after it dried.

Great service, very glad was Ken and his crew were able to take the job and finish well before I move the rest of my items into the house I recently bought. He was great when I asked him to take another look at a couple of spots that he and his crew worked on the day before, came the next day and fixed it up. He even put in a couple of door stops too noticing we didn't have one on two of the bedrooms. Finally he said that if my wife and I notice anything other item, regarding the job, to just let him know.

Love the owner very nice person. The painter nice person too but frankly the work was a bit sub par. No adequate prep work on walls, trim paint in separate toilet area ran over onto walls. No sanding of bumps on bathroom walls prior to painting so many places not smooth.

Jane was wonderful! She was very efficient with the time and did an amazing job! There was a lot of little things that needed to be fixed before painting and she went above and beyond my expectations!

Everything went as promised and the work was of the highest quality. In addition, the job was completed ahead of schedule. Very pleased with this company and the quality of the work.

Ken was very professional and timely in coming to my property for the bid. His price on the other hand was laughable. $5,200 with me providing all the paint and supplies on top of that. I don't know if he was just not interested in doing the work... or what his reasoning was for this price. But that is absurd. The only reason I got a bid is because I'm pregnant and should not be around the fumes of oil based paint. I could do this job easily myself if not for health concerns. What a joke.

The took the popcorn ceiling from my living room and bedroom they did a great job

Ken Turner was very prompt returning my calls and scheduling the estimate. The project was finished on time and he did not accept payment until we were satisfied with the finished results. We would gladly recommend using this company!

I had called this company based on reviews and was simply just wanting a quote. Talked to owner on phone and explained my project. Was very friendly at first until I explained that I just needed one room and one small bathroom painted. Immediately felt as if my job was too small. I stated that I would provide paint and I just needed the work completed. His demeanor changed drastically and bid 1200 for a room that's smaller than 14x14. I asked how the price was and he said it would need 2 coats and I stated the quality of paint I purchased and he said "then go call someone that agrees with you" and hung up. I strongly would not recommend this company for hire and I definitely won't on principle alone.

It went great. He made the booking and coordinating easy. His team was kind, professional and picked-up after themselves. Ken made sure everything contracted was covered and then some. We had one communication glitch at the end that was totally my fault. Because of my work schedule, I left off a final check with the last painter prior to his finishing the job. When I later went to inspect, there were a couple of small things missed. Based on previous experiences with less honorable contractors, I assumed I was stuck since the painters were gone and had my money. I could not have been more wrong. Ken graciously came back out right away and ensured that everything was completed to my satisfaction. I would give him an extra star if I could for coming through for me at the end.

Excellent work; reliable and professional crew; they did a lot of prep work before painting was started to fix old wear and tear, and to fix problems with the ceiling. The paint job is beautiful and it looks terrific. They were careful in their work and respectful about keeping me apprised of when they'd be coming and going. They were not the cheapest bid but definitely worth it to get a really high quality job. I will use them again in the future.

Great job. Kevin & his crew arrived on time for 2-day job. They were all friendly, courteous, & cleaned up after themselves. They masked off areas where needed; applied at least 2 coats & made sure we were pleased as they progressed. Our only critique was in a closet, where they didn't paint far enough under shelves - possibly due to inadequate space for their hands. My spouse, who has small hands, was able to eliminate this minor issue. Overall, their work was top-notch. Will have them back later to work on other areas.

Once I contacted Ken he moved forward with his price estimate and scheduling promptly. The crews that he sent worked carefully and diligently over the course of approximately three weeks. Removal of the popcorn ceilings and their refinishing (completed by Tim Mccoy) took just short of a week . Tim stirred up a minimum of dust in what is, by definition, a very messy process. The refinished ceilings are artful. The painting crew (Mark, Dave and Jane) came and left as scheduled, completing their work after the ceiling refinishing. They were professional, efficient and friendly. We felt comfortable leaving the house to handle our own errands. As the ceilings, the finished walls and trim are equally artful. The entire project involved, in addition to the white trim, three separate colors. The total price for the work was certainly substantial; but, given the professionalism of the work product and the size of the job itself, it was not unreasonable. The paint was included in the pricing.
