Description of Work: They came to fix leak in shower. When Butch pulled it apart he found it needed to be replaced. I was told credit for the 1/2 hour visit would be given if I purchased a new faucet set and called them back to install.

Description of Work: We were sent an enormous water bill by the City of Camdenton. We could not figure out where we were losing so much water so we called the city and had them shut off the water until we could have a plumber locate the leak. We contacted A-1 Plumbing because we had used them (very successfully) a year or so prior. I spoke with Butch who told me that he was the new owner of the company as the previous owner had retired and he purchased the company from him. Butch offered to come inspect the problem for me at no cost and if we wanted him to repair the problem from there he would be happy to. Butch came over first thing the next morning and quickly discovered that we had a leak somewhere in our main water line running from the city's lines to our house. Butch said he was sorry to have to call in an excavator to find the leak, but with the over 150 feet of water line to our house being unmarked and with heavy rains the previous three days masking any leak areas he would be unable to locate the leak without one. Butch said he would work with us on the price of his services since he would have to pay the excavator a minimum fee. The following day, Butch and the excavator arrived and began digging at around 8 a.m. By noon he had located and repaired the leak approximately 15 feet from the water meter. Butch made sure the excavator cleaned up the dig site very well and showed me the broken section of pipe and explained what probably happened to me.
