My decorator recommended Michael. He was prompt to pick up my chairs and estimated the work would take about 3 weeks. After I month, I made 5 calls to Michael, none of which were returned. I got his cell number from the decorator who had also contacted Michael on my behalf. When I reached Michael on his cell phone, he told me he had been delayed due to a family situation. I told him I needed the chairs in a week for an event I was hostessing. Weeks passed with no word from Michael. When I was able to track him down I had no confidence he would get the work done so I asked him to return the chairs which he did within a couple of days. I will have a different upholsterer finish the work. If Michael had at least contacted me and let me know there was a problem I would have had him finish the job.
Description of Work: What work Mike did was excellent but I had him return the two chairs unfinished. The estimated time frame was three weeks and after 2 months plus of Michael not returning my calls, I got his cell number through a decorator, contacted him and asked that he return the chairs.

I called Michael after finding him on Angie's List and reading his reviews. I then called him and explained my situation and he offered to come look at the cushions that day. But I explained my husband's business was close to his...and he offered to meet my husband the next day. After looking at the cushions he assured my husband he could do the job. He gave him an estimate that we agreed on and he told us the cushions would be done by the following Thursday. He then delievered the finished cushions to my husband's office. The cushions looked wonderful ...we both were so pleased with the new look. These needlepoint chair covers mean alot to me since my mother made them and I was so grateful that Michael was able to do the work. Thursday
Description of Work: I had 8 dining room chairs that had needlepoint covers on them that needed to be reupholstered with new foam. I called Michael and explained my situation about the needlepoint work and he was very helpful and explained the possibilities. My mother had spent 4 years making these covers and I didn't want anything to happen to them. He offered THAT day to come and look at them and I explained my husband worked very close to his business. He then offered to meet my husband the next day to take a look at the cushions and let us know if he could do the work. After examining the cushions, he assured my huband he could do the work and gave him the estimate. He promised the work would be done within 6 days and they were...and he delievered them to my husband's place of business. The work he did was excellent and I was so pleased with the finished look. I would definitely recommend Michael to anyone who needs upholstery work done. His price was fair and he was very professional.

He returned my original call within a few hours and would have come out the same day to give an estimate if I hadn't had a conflict, so instead it was the next day. The following business day he loaded up the loveseat (with my help) at 10am and by 1:30 he had called to say it was complete and delivered it by 2:00. In addition to the skirt replacement, he also fixed two small tears for no additional cost. The work was very well done, with excellent fabric matching and you can not tell that it was any different than the original. Total time to complete the job from the original call was only 2 business days.
Description of Work: Replaced the skirt on one end of my loveseat where the skirt had been chewed by my dogs. I had already purchased the fabric to sew a new skirt.
