It went amazingly well. Family members have used this company for several years - and have always been very happy. Not sure whether he was still in business, I called using the number I had in my directory. Don himself answered, remembered me and my family in detail and made arrangements to come within a couple of hours of my call. He arrived when he said he would; diagnosed the problem promptly; made a call to a service center to inquire if they had the part; drove some distance to pick it up; and repaired and tested the washer. For all the time involved and the miles he had to put on his vehicle, I found the price of the call to be surprisingly reasonable.

I paid the full amount of the cost of repairs of $115.00 after his first visit to my home. I was grateful he also cleaned the drain on his first visit because this needed to be done. However, neither his first nor second attempt to fix the leak from my refrigerator was successful. I finally contacted another repairman from a different company to make repairs. The second repairman from a different company replaced the tubing and successfully connected it to my refrigerator. I have not had any leaks since that time.
Description of Work: I called Don Allen to fix my leaky refrigerator. Large puddles of water accumulated under the unit. He arrived 4 hours late. I suspected the leak was coming from where the hose connected to the refrigerator. He insisted the leak was under the sink. I asked if the entire line could be replaced. He said that wasn't necessary. He cut the hose & reattached it, charging me $115.00 (including labor & transportation fuel charge). The next day, I found a larger puddle of water under the refrigerator. He wasn't available to make repairs for 9 days. He replaced the plastic hose with a copper line. The copper tubing was cut so short that I couldn't move the refrigerator without detaching it from the unit. He charged me $113.00. What infuriated me about the labor charge was that a friend at my home chatted with the repairman for 1/2 hour before he began to make repairs. Don Allen included the time he spent visiting with my friend in the cost of labor. The refrigerator continued to leak.
