Description of Work: They are assisting us with an interstate move from Kansas City to Atlanta.

Description of Work: The service was good but they delivered the very last day of the delivery window.

Description of Work: This was an intrastate move of 500 miles. Actual van loading and trucking went very well and some challenges in unloading the van were handled better than might have been predicted. The van crew was first rate. | |In contrast, Daniels packers (Kansas City) were a mixed batch with some good and some VERY UNPROFESSIONAL personnel. Some seem interested in merely generating nearly empty boxes stuffed with pounds of packing rather than doing an efficient job. They also packed into boxes a trash can containing some debris and waste. Also, these same individuals mopped up some water that they generated in the basement and packed the wet toweling into a moving box. This maliciousness later generated a mold problem when the wet box was unloaded and, prior to a delay in unpacking, stored with a pile of other boxes.

Description of Work: Military move from Wichita to Kansas City. I had large amounts of heavy furniture. 2 ladies packed, went fine but could tell one was new and went incredibly slow to max time cards. Lead lady (Evelyn Hill) came back the next day with only 1 other man to load a rental truck. She failed to notice or acknowledge she wouldn't be lift or carry, and most likely didn't want pay for a 3rd body. I wasn't there for the load and had my roommate watch, and he ended up having to help a ton to move since she was too lazy/weak to move the furniture. He was too nice and didn't make them get someone else. They refused to break down some large ikea closets after they wouldn't for down the stairwell successfully. And the truck ended up being to small for my garage items. None of this was passed on to me by the moving company. When they showed up late (1pm) the next after multiple calls (supposed to arrive between 8-10) they still didn't have a 3rd person to unload and she asked "well what are you doing, do you have to work today." I got furious and made them get a 3rd person who showed up a few hrs later. Multiple complaints on why I have heavy furniture, very little communication. And everyone was marked dented or scratched during the pack even if it wasn't to cover their a**. | |They didn't tell the parent company that they didn't get everything and I had to coordinate for a second move. Again, terrible communication from daniel's. They sent a person out to deal with the closets and he just thought he was packing closets and didn't do anything either. A 3rd party moving company was hired to disassemble the closet and then Daniels again was supposed to load and ship door to door. The load team failed to show after the disassembly and had to be rescheduled for the following week (my 3rd trip back down to my original location). It was loaded and stored not door to door as requested and had to be scheduled for delivery a week after pick up. I finally got my second shipment nearly 1 month after my original pack date. The movers were rough with stuff, I never got a call from management to appologize. Avoid at all costs. | |My roommate was also in the middle of a military move (overseas) and was with a united moving company (Thomas transfer). Had a team of 5+ movers that were exponentially better. | |
