Description of Work: Called for an estimate and initially got a good response. They were suppose to stop by but never did. I called again 2 weeks later and the receptionist saw the request and sent my name to the arborist again but I never heard back. I tried to email but still no response.

Description of Work: 10 inch stump removal. Quick efficient, courteous, economical, excellent work ethic, prompt, cleaned up area, highly happy with services.

Description of Work: I got bids from 5 other tree companies which ranged from $300 - $3000. I was utterly confused as to why the pricing was so different. I have 1 sugar maple in the front yard and 3 maple trees in the back. When the companies came out, I told them I thought the branches needed to be cleared away from the front of the house & to make sure there was nothing that would fall on my house or the power line in the back yard. I also asked if my neighbor's tree could be trimmed over my driveway & away from my house as well. | |Apparently, each company's interpretation of this statement is very different. We even talked through each tree & what needed to be done. They all came back with such different bids. | |When the guy from Cartwright came out, it turned out they were the company the previous owner used for her trees. He told me that they had done a huge trimming only 2 years ago & in his opinion my trees didn't need attention for another couple of years. He did feel like the tree in the front could be brought up a bit and definitely cleared from the house. We also agreed on some smaller limbs in the back that looked straggly and should also come down. | |They had to come out 2x to get everything which was somewhat frustrating. I was told there was some miscommunication between they guy I talked with and the crew that came out to trim the trees. They actually missed the tree in my neighbor's yard altogether. However, when I called to ask about it after the first visit, they were very responsive and came out again within a day or 2. | |I was very happy after the final visit. I plan to call again in a couple of years when my trees need trimming again. | |

Description of Work: I had a 25' blue spruce blown over in the wind storm last weekend and called them for an estimate. I left a message on Sunday and I got a call on Monday morning. They were in the area so they showed up fast to give me the estimate. I needed to talk to my better half and we compared against an estimate we had received on Saturday. I called them back and told them to get us on the books and they said they had a small crew in the area and the tree was gone by lunch time. They then came back a couple days later and ground up the root ball.

Description of Work: I had a tree that was dying. It had several problems, one of which was parasites and other illnesses. They came and took care of it. They gave me an idea of what was wrong with it and told me what to do. They sprayed and fertilized.

Description of Work: They were in the neighborhood doing work already, and they came to my door to see if I needed any work. They did a house clearance on a tree, separated trees, did some dead wooding, and did light shaping. They told me an older tree was dead throughout and needed to come down because it was a hazard to the house and told me nothing could be done to save the tree. They also said they felt certain that the tree would come down toward the house in the first windstorm.

Description of Work: We have a gigantic sycamore tree in our front yard, which needed to be trimmed and thinned out. Their representative Kris Maasen came by within a week of my call, to walk around the tree, and discuss what I wanted done. She made suggestions about doing the job without ruining the integrity of the tree. I had thought the top might need to be cut off, which would have cost a lot more money, but she advised against it, assuring me that the tree had deep roots, and would not easily be blown over. I was impressed that she didn't advise doing something which might have damaged the tree, even though it would have made her company more money. We had received bids from other companies for as high as $1,500.

Description of Work: ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS (TWO MONTHS APART) FOR TWO DIFFERENT ADDRESSES, I CALLED AND REQUESTED CARTWRIGHT TO COME OUT AND GIVE ESTIMATES FOR TREE TRIMMING AND REMOVAL. IT WAS EXPLAINED IN DETAIL THE TYPE OF WORK THAT NEEDED TO BE DONE. CARTWRIGHT AGREED TO COME OUT AND SET APPOINTMENTS FOR 1 WEEK LATER TO PROVIDE ESTIMATES. BOTH TIMES THEY DID NOT SHOW. WHEN I CALLED 40 MINUTES AFTER THE FIRST APPOINTMENT WASN'T MET, I WAS TOLD WHEN I COULDN'T RESCHEDULE THAT IT WAS OKAY BECAUSE "THEY WERE TOO BUSY". THIRTY MINUTES AFTER THE SECOND APPOINTMENT TIME PASSED, THE REPRESENTATIVE I TALKED TO WANTED TO RESEARCH THE SITUATION AND FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENED. I TOLD HIM I WASN'T WASTING ANY MORE TIME WITH CARTWRIGHT AND HUNG UP.

Description of Work: TRIMMED PIN OAK, ASH, ELM AND MAPLE TREES IN FRONT AND BACK YARD. CLEANED OUT THE DEADWOOD AND THINNED OUT WHERE NEEDED.
