They did a good job and had a reasonable price.

The guy showed up and rough framed for the fireplace and left. He was supposed to return after the fireplace was installed to sheet it in preparation for stone work. In the meantime, he decided that installing the screen the way I wanted was not for him and wanted to remove that from the bid (it's a 90" opening). I sent a link for the materials but no response from the front office. I lost two weeks on the project as the stone guy showed up but nothing was sheeted. Very unprofessional behavior - if he did not want to do the work, he should have never bid on it and most definitely should not have started the job.

I was not informed when I called that if I used a credit there would be a 5% service charge. I had to scrap up enough cash because I no longer have checks. If I had been informed up front I would have been prepared.

I was very happy with the work that he did. He did everything that I asked of him and I will use this company again.

Drywall job leaves swollen spot. I called and they promised to come out to fix tomorrow. I complaind about price and I told them I felt like I was robbed to office. They told me they provide quotation not by hours but by the job. But their quotation procedure was highly suspicious. Handyman called office and office provided quotation not the man who actually examined the work to be done. How this can be done this way? Handyman named Scott came out to make a quotation and he called his office to get quotation for the job he has to do. And office provided the above quotation. I believed the man and I thought much bigger job needs to be done based on their quotation. I simply believed Angies's list reputation and company on your list. Scott came to my home to fix the above on Monday August 5. I watched what he was doing and I was surprised after observing what he has done. Very very simple work not worth anything near $630. Thus I asked him what is theri hourly charge, and he told me they charge based on job not by hours. Since he quoted $287 to fix a hole in my drywall, I thought he would replace entire drywall. But he simply patched hole less 2 inch diameter hole and trie t install curtain holder on the drywall which was very weak. He did not understand intent of my work order. Thus I asked him to attach the holder on wooden frame inside of the wall and he did. He tried to wrap up his painting job on the door after finishing outside only. $201 job???? Thus I asked him to do inside also, and he did. Still re-painting should not cost that much. Needless to say, $147 for touch up job is too expensive. The job took less than $30 min. I acknowlege my mistake not getting the second quoatation. I was stupid enough to believe the company on your list. But how they can give the accurate quotation from the office not by a handyman who came out? He asked quotation to office describing what he needs to do, not by him who actually knows what needs to be done. If Angies can resolve this extraordinary charge be reduced to acceptable price, it would be greatly appreciated. I would write my experience of this on social site so that another innocent people not to be a victim in future. thank you very much for your attention on this. Joon Kim

The screen repair was done well. He did not paint the woodwork in one of the bedrooms and said that I told him I didn't want it painted, which I do not recall having said. The other painted bedroom has some spots on the wall behind the door where something brushed up against the wall. There is a spot on the sheets of one of the beds where he dropped paint although he appeared to have covered everything with plastic before painting. The worst thing though was the ceiling fan he installed. The fan could be turned on at the wall switch, which turned the light and the fan on. The chain to turn off the fan would not pull. So the light and fan could be turned on but the fan could not be turned off without turning the light off as well. Fortunately my son was able to repair the fan for me. The handyman did not bother to tell me about the ceiling fan before he left. I found out when I turned it on and could not stop the fan without turning the whole thing off.

I had previously used Andy on Call. Their particular handyman, Rick had installed new vinyl tiles in my bathrooms. But my carpets were being replaced on July 29, when water damage wa discovered. I called Andy on call, and Rick was abkle to get here the nex morning. The floor was repaired and so the new carpet could be installed. I was very fortunate to get this work done quickly.

It went very well. They did an excellent job in a timely manner.

Everything went fine. Andy on Call doesn't actually do the work themselves they subcontract jobs out to existing local handyman services. I got a really good handyman. He showed up on time and worked quickly and did a good job. I cannot guarantee that anyone else that uses the service would get the same handyman or the same quality of service. I assume that Andy on Call only uses handyman companies that do consistantly good work and for that reason I would recommend them.

They were great to work with - on time, clean about their work, chose quality materials and explained what they were doing step by step. My husband and I were looking for months for some one to replace our front porch and had received a few of bids, met with companies that said they were interested in the job and went to the Home Improvement Show at Bartel Hall to find small contractors but Andy on Call turned out to be the best choice by far. It was not a big job and that is a turn off to some companies. They were able to fit us in the week after we hired them and our neighbors have asked us who we used as the neighborhood is about 10 years old and homes in the area are starting to need a little TLC.

Came out same day. Punctual. Brought too short of an extension but wanted to finish the job without coming back. Water doesn't clear the foundation properly. Minimum charge $75, no matter how small the project. Probably wouldn't use again.

We have used them for several years now and they have been excellent. They are prompt. I have had several different workmen and they all have been very good. They are courteous and on time. Their pricing is very, very reasonable.

The repairman arrived at the appointed time. I liked the fact he called ahead and said he was coming. The work was shown to him. He quoted a price that was acceptable. He had to purchase some new brackets for the railing from HOME DEPOT but there was no up charge for the material. The railing was attached first Hole were drilled in the concrete for the screws. Siding was repaired and secured. . Primer was used to cover the nails used. Work was performed in a professional and quality manner. I was extremely satisfied with the work performed and the repairman. I will use this company again in the near future.

I called because the front and the back doorbells did not work. The scheduler was helpful and she let me know that the service call would be$75 but the money would be applied to the actual work. Bob arrived promptly, diagnosed the problem with the transformer/transmitter, went to the local hardware store to buy a replacement, and fixed it. Once fixed, the front doorbell worked but not the back door. Bob looked at the chimes and saw that the back door chime was broken. He went back to the hardware store to buy a replacement chime. Before he left to buy the new chime, he asked if I wanted something similar, or a more fancy musical doorbell. I appreciated him asking me. Once replaced, both the front and back doorbells work perfectly. The project time, start to finish, including both trips to the hardware store was 2.5hrs. I also used my Angie's List Coupon. Excellent service; professional; courteous. I highly recommend. A week later I received a follow-up call to make sure I was satisfied with the work...A+

We had rotted wood around a window. Carpenter removed old window air conditioner and window, replaced wood, reinstalled window and installed new window air conditioner.He was on time for estimate and on time for repair work. He did a good job. Job was more extensive than first estimated but he gave us proof of what was needed. We are very pleased and would use this carpenter again.

The repairs were well done and I was pleased with the work. The price included the cost of materials, I was shown the bill for the cost of materials, there was no mark up.

The work went very good , Andy was here on time friendly and cleaned up after he was finished I would . I would call again if needed

I was pleased with the work. Had used Andy on Call in the past for gutter cleaning, and for an estimate for repairing a leak in the basement. I appreciated his honesty in identifying the problem in the basement, and the free estimate---the work was not needed.

They are conscientious and have good follow-through. We have used them before.

It went great! Phil arrived early, started right in, and worked diligently until the job was completed. Even though he encountered more difficulty than anticipated, due to the door being slightly out of plumb, he stuck with it and did a fabulous job! Also, the company originally quoted both the trim work plus painting a room and cabinets. I asked for a price just for the trim work, we scheduled it within two days, and the job is done! I will definitely use this company again!

I don't own a ladder high enough to reach the second story eve, so I thought Andy's good rating made it a fine choice to take care of a piece of the eve that had become loose and was hanging down about an inch or two. Making the arrangements by phone went well and Larry arrived on time a few days later. Personable and capable, Larry used his tall ladder and hammer and nailed the loose piece flush. Upon informing my wife that this would cost $75, the minimum charge, I was disappointed that such was not disclosed to me when I made the arrangements with Andy's a few days earlier. We found another small job try to make it worthwhile, but even so, if I had been properly informed that a simple eve repair involving a few nails would cost $75 I would have made sure to put together a good list of other handyman needs before arranging service. The service was simple and fast, and we liked Larry. I don't have any problem with the concept of a minimum charge, but Andy's front office should be more forthcoming about the minimum charge when scheduling service. There's no mention of it on Andy's website either.

Everything went great. Bob had most of 1 day to start and got the things finished that I asked to be done before a party on Sat. He came back the following Mon and Tues to finish up.

The service was professional and helpful. The gutter repair also needed new boards replace and this was done as well. The workers were efficient,prompt and made sure to clean up after themselves. The painting was done well - we were very pleased to find someone to do all these small jobs in a timely manner.

Arrived promptly at 7 a.m.; gave him the list of jobs plus a few other larger ones; he called for prices; we decided which ones he would do that day and which I would do at a later time. I had purchased materials for storm door and light bulbs; he told me what to purchase to repair the chain link fence and I left to purchase the materials.....had to go 2 places. When I returned, he had satisfactorily completed all jobs except the fence and the sanding and painting. Very knowledgeable, nice personality and very professional. Would request him again.

We were pretty happy with the service. It was a very meticulous work because they had to tore out the whole bathroom but they did a great job. The price is also reasonable given the work we handed to them.
