We got very good affordable carpet through his distributor. We paid for the carpet which was awesome because it kept his markup down. His schedule got a little crazy during our install day but he communicated very effectively and was able to work with us on the install. Did the whole upstairs in a half a day. Going to use again for the basement.

Ernie with Jand E Carpet Installation removed old carpet and installed new carpet throughout our home. We had to have them install a couple rooms at a time because we painted and budgeted for it this way (this is reflected in the cost of service above which was the cost of our upstairs install). Ernie was fine with this and has a storage building to hold carpet for this type of scheduling if necessary. We were extremely pleased with Ernie's work. 9 times out of 10, Ernie answered my calls without my having to leave a message. He was prompt, always on time and ready to work, very pleasant and a pleasure to have in our home. I highly recommend Jand E Carpet Installation. The only comment I have is that Ernie is somewhat old school (no website) which was fine with us, but I would sometimes have to call Ernie for reminders when he was to check his calendar at home and get back with me regarding appointments. But at the same time, Ernie refuses to accept payment until the job is complete. Also, Jand E does NOT vacuum the carpet after they are done installing. In his 30 years of business, Ernie has found that the majority of customers did not want him using his business vacuum to vacuum their new carpets. I would imagine if you wanted them to vacuum, they would. However, we had no problem with that. Although we have only had carpet work done by Jand E Carpet Installation, they also install ceramic tile and prefinished hardwood floors.

We ordered carpet from a local company and needed an installer. I was given J and E Carpet Installation name and number. I called and spoke with Ernie and he was very cordial and polite. We initially had new carpet installed in our family room and staircase by J and E. The new carpet was difficult to wrap around the stair ends, but Ernie and Steve did a great job. We then wanted to install carpet in our Office and Diring Room. I contacted J and E again and as usual, Ernie was polite and punctual and he and Steve got the job done in record time. I also feel their prices are reasonable. The only thing they don't do is vacuum after the carpet is down. I was somewhat surprised at this after the first visit, so I asked at the next visit and was informed by Ernie, that there are many people who do not want their new carpet cleaned with someone else's machine. However, Ernie stated that he would be more than happy to vacuum with the customer's machine (or perhaps his) if asked to do so. They always remove old carpet and pad.
