From start to finish John Hawkins, owner of Transformations, was extremely helpful and professional. John came to the house to bid the job and while there on the initial visit he made several suggestions that improved the outcome as well as saved us money. From the beginning John was patient in explaining everything and letting us know what options were possible. I have done quite a bit of construction but John quickly showed his special knowledgeable in this area and had that he had the specialty tools needed to make our project a success. John gave me the option of removing the old counter tops and back splash to save some money. I chose to do the removal. John returned calls promptly and did exactly what he said he would do. We purchased materials from Menards. John's working relationship with them helped get things done when there were minor glitches. John promised that when the materials arrived he would be able to come do our job within a couple of days. That is exactly what he did. When one counter top was delayed in shipment he made a trip back to install within a day after being contacted. John and his assistant, Jeff, were a pleasure to have in our home. They treated my wife and I, as well as our home, with great respect. Both of them were diligent, paid attention to detail, and did things as if it were their own house. Our house is about 24 years old. Not everything is perfectly square and level. John instilled great confidence with the general approach that there is a solution to most any problem. John's extensive experience and array of tools he had made it all seem easy. His goal seemed clear and that was to create the best end product possible for us. I recommend John Hawkins, Transformations, without reservations. We will definitely use him again if we have any needs in the future. I understand he also does wood floors. I am betting he does a terrific job at that as well. My wife also liked John and Jeff and is thrilled with the end product!

It went very well. John (owner) was flexible with scheduling, prompt to show up when he said he would, creative when unexpected issues appeared and up front with any mistakes made along with a solution to correct them. As the job progressed, I realized I wanted other services such as new baseboards and they were happy to oblige. They cleaned up every day prior to leaving, helped me with disposing of old doors and propane stove and were generally respectful of both me and my property. I felt comfortable with both John and his employees.
