Description of Work: The price was very fair, we have a big house and I expected it to cost more. The craftsmanship was outstanding, they did the roof in one day with two crews to beat the bad weather that was forecasted. Everything they promised was done and done well. Returned calls, provided timely professional estimate, available for discussion of estimate, provided samples, promised and lived up to installation date, courteous and professional crew, minimal property damage (removing two layers of old roofing obviously requires trailer close to house and plantings), and good clean up. Discussed job as it was being completed and available to further discussion when job was complete. All performed within the agreed to estimate. Generally, roofers are not known for having a good reputation, but Melvin Mills Roofing blew that stereotype out of the water. They were professional, accessible, responsive and honest. I would comfortably recommend them to anyone seeking the name of a good roofing company.
Description of Work: Removed two layers of roof shingles, repaired decking as appropriate, installed ridge vents, replaced flashing and put on new roof.

+ -1 moreExcellent. They come on time. They tarp the yard so it isn't full of nails. The finished product is very professional. We have a chimney and the flashing was replaced by Mills, no leaks. Our house has 5 gables and several different heights on the roof, and is difficult to work on. Mills is the only ones we will hire to work on it when needed.
Description of Work: Our home has an extremely steep roof. When we moved here 4 years ago Mills roofing tore off the old roof all the way down to the wood and replaced it. Last month we had a horrible storm and our roof was severely damaged. We again hired Melvin Mills Roofing to do our roof, and also the detached garage roof.
