About us

My name is Bobby Crawford, aka The Granite Guy. I’ve worked with custom stone products since 1996, beginning in Naples, Florida. I now reside in and work out of Fredericktown, Missouri. I’ve worked exclusively with stone since I built my first company in Southwest Florida – BC Stoneworks, Inc. (1999-2004). When I started my second company, Solid Rock Stoneworks Inc. (2006-2008), I was running three install crews with ten fulltime employees before the business came to a premature end when the economy collapsed. I’ve no desire to revisit that kind of stress, so I now specialize in installing custom stone products by myself. I enjoy making the dream of having gorgeous kitchen counters or bathroom vanities a reality for customers who’ve worked hard to own them, and I take care to ensure that every tiny detail is as perfect as possible. My seams are what most customers are amazed at, and I can receive no better compliment than when a client cannot even find them. A little-known fact that big granite retailers worry the public will discover is that anyone can now buy pre-fabricated 8’ x 26” slabs of granite and quartz with a finished edge on three sides and a 4” backsplash for under $250 at Menards and a few other home-improvement stores. This is how I can get you into a $4,000 kitchen for $2,500. I also work with several wholesale granite and quartz companies, so I know who’s buying – and in what in bulk – and I can also use this knowledge to get you the best possible price/quality combination. I cut-to-size, seam, and polish to create a professionally installed custom kitchen, vanity, fireplace, or tub-deck that will be the envy of your guests – in fact, the bulk of my work is garnered from the referrals of satisfied customers. I am able to work with several different wholesale granite and quartz companies to get the best price/quality combination possible at any given time. I know who is buying what in bulk and can use all necessary resources to get you the best value and personally install your stone with the utmost care and quality. I can measure/template the area, supply the material, fabricate it, install it, install undermount sinks and cut for cooktops and etc. Or you can supply material and I can do the rest.

On January 5th 2016 Mr Crawford installed a full granite kitchen (I believe the name was Tropical Thunder) in my condo that I had up for sale. His work was fantastic and reasonably priced. One week later I found a buyer (his wife loved the kitchen). Just closed on it last week. I highly recommend him.

The Granite Guy was one of only a few people to get back to us and he beat everyone else's price by far. He came and spent a long time carefully measuring and discussing options for our kitchen, which was very helpful! He went above and beyond what I asked him to do just to make sure the cuts were done right and the counters would work for our space! He was helpful, informative, and did an excellent job!
