When I bought my house, the front porch was covered with an ugly and chipping grey paint. After looking into several options, I thought that resurfacing with a colored concrete would be the best way to fix the problem. Boy, was I wrong! Vance did an OK job of covering my existing concrete-- my main complaint is with the "Permacrete" product itself. First, I thought I had picked a sandy peach color that would match the sidewalk. It turned out to be a bright peach that was very artificial-looking. I was hoping it would fade a bit over time, but it hasn't. Second, the finish was supposed to be "non-slip" when it gets wet. It is actually more slippery now than it was before! I often worry that I am going to slip and fall down the steps when it is raining. Finally, I was led to believe that the resurfacing would last for many years. Now, it is just 4 years later and it looks worse than it did before. It has chipped and cracked in several places. Every winter, more chips and cracks appear. I would think twice before you use this product!

Mr. Hendricks now contends that the these problems were my fault even when he had previously put in writing that he would repair the flaking and chipping. The cracks are, in our opinion, due to the faulty product.
