Kwik Dry Carpet Care, LLC

I hired Kwik Dry Carpet Care LLc to clean our ducts as my wife was having allergy issues. I spoke with Bob and he said he used the contact method for cleaning the duct which is what I was looking for. The price of $329.00 was quoted for the cleaning service and was the total I paid for the job. There were no add ons. Steve and Jordan were the employes that arrived later than scheduled time, but I was called and informed they would be late. I am a contractor my self so I tried to have the house ready for them when they arrived, meaning furniture was moved so they would have access to the vents and furnace area. This was the first duct cleaning job I had experienced so I wasn't sure how dusty the job would be. I was not told to cover furniture with plastic. I did put drop cloths over carpet in the bed rooms. They did nothing to prepare the house nor did they have any plan to deal with the enormous amount of dust that would be created from the duct cleaning. Maybe if the filters had been cleaned on their machine, it would have had enough suction to prevent our house from being totally covered in visible dust. I'm not sure. I believe that their standards are different than mine for what clean ducts are, since after they had cleaned the main trunk line, I could reach in and readily wipe large amounts of dust out of the duct. I informed them and they re-cleaned the duct to a satisfactory level. Had I not been checking, the job would have been done poorly. They also had to create access holes in my cold air return for proper cleaning. The repair for the holes was to foil tape a piece of aluminum flashing over the hole... which is a very poor repair. A piece of galvanized sheet metal screwed over the hole and foil taped would have been a more permanent type of repair. In the end we had relatively clean ducts but an incredibly dusty house. One down comforter had to be dry cleaned because the suction hose was dragged over it and left large dust marks on the dark blue comforter. Simply notifying us that the hose was going to be dirty or covering the bed themselves prior to placing the hose on it would have sufficed. My wife and I spent the rest of the day cleaning the house. The dust causing the allergy issues was now spread all over the entire house. I think the disregard for my home was very disappointing and I would not recommend this company because I feel I would be setting someone else up for this kind of mess ...especially if they already suffering from allergy issues. We mentioned to the workers that we felt the house was a dusty mess. After the workers left, the owner Bob called and talked about our issues and this is why we rate the customer service a 4.

Their crew, Michael and Jordan, were polite and efficient. They certainly knew what to do and how to do it.

they did almost everything they said they would do. They did not clean the dryer vent as promised. The one worker told me at least 3 times about customers tipping them. I thought that was wrong.

Very, professional yet friendly! Very quick response to my call and accommodated my schedule. EXCELLENT stain removal from two (2) dogs and a cat! There was no odor; he did not just "mask" the odor he totally eliminated it!!

Price and special promotion discount not a true value. If I had not had to change my appointment and other commitments I would have got service elsewhere.

I am very pleased. Would definitely recommend them and use them again. I was about to throw out an area rug until he cleaned it. Looks brand new now.

I hired Kwik Dry to clean my carpets after a cable company technician had tracked mud through my house by accident. My initial contact with the owner, Bob, was pleasant and courteous. I informed him that I needed a front foyer that has wood parquet flooring, family room, an upstairs foyer or loft, staircase and landing, and a master bedroom cleaned. He gave me a quote of $240 to have this done. He sent me a quote by email that I forwarded to the cable company's claim department. He called me several times before the cable company responded to verify the job. After the cable company sent my claim check, I called Bob to schedule the cleaning. The day the young man came to clean the carpets, Bob called and stated that the price he quoted me did not include the wood foyer and that it would be an additional cost of $160. The price he quoted me was only for carpet. I told him that I gave him a complete list of what I needed cleaned and that the payment was coming from the cable company and not me. It's not my fault that you didn't give me the correct quote. He said again that he could not clean the carpet and the wood for that price and the wood area would be an additional $160. He said that he would do the wood for free, but he would not put polyurethane on it. This pissed me off because he could have got the entire amount of money if he would have quoted to me the full amount to send to the cable company. I then told him that I did not want to use his service at all since he was angry at me for his error. When he stated that he was also pissed, I hung up the phone. The young man had completed half of the carpets by the time I got off the phone with Bob. The work he did complete was great but he was not able to finish because I told him to leave. He gathered his stuff and left. This company needs to get a receptionist to take phone calls or come up with a better way to give quotes to potential clients. Bob is trying to do everything on his own and it’s not working. I will know better next time to make sure the company understands what is needed to be done before I hire them.
