Description of Work: The inspector arrived ahead of time to set up. Was polite and professional. Steve answered the phone himself and responded to my calls quickly. I was a first time homebuyer and Steve not only inspected the house but walked me through all the items that passed inspecting to tell me how to keep the in great condition. He emailed me the report the same day. I have recommended Homecheck to my family already and would recommend it to anyone else who wants to buy a home in the area.

Description of Work: Steve and Charles spent about 3 hours going through the house I am leasing and now considering buying. These gentlemen found a number of items that are of immediate concern that I never detected. I am most impressed with the owner Steve and his associated Charles. Description of Work: Steve performed a home inspection for us to create a punch list of items we want to address with our builder. Steve did a great job and gave us a list of issues we should address and the peace of mind that we're not missing anything major in our initial warranty period.

Description of Work: Steve was incredibly helpful: I was purchasing an investment rental 2-family building that is 80 years old, and was concerned what I was getting myself into. But Steve spent a lot of time with me explaining the various things we found, and putting them into context. Since I'm not a home improvement veteran, his friendly, enthusiastic, and good humored commentary on what he found helped me understand what I would need to address short term, as well as long term. He was far more thorough than the inspector I had for my home, and if I saw things that concerned me, he readily investigated them and provided feedback. Also when I asked (he didn't try to suggest until I asked) if he knew of resources to address some of the issues, he had contact info for several people. (Though of course my first step was to se if those people were on Angie's List!) Also he had excellent resources for the lateral sewer and terminate inspections, and he did not mark up their services at all! Plus his fee for the inspection was very competitive, and he spent over three hours on the inspection! Overall I am extremely satisfied with Homecheck, and strongly recommend Steve to anyone who wants to thoroughly understand what inspectors are looking for, and what might be in store for repairs and updates in the future.
