Description of Work: When it was time to replace my 30 year old HVAC system, I did my homework on-line. I concluded from my research that there are two factors that affect the reliability and longevity of a new system: first, you can't expect trouble-free performance from a low-end system. All readily recognized, name-brand systems seem to be rated closely with each other, but lower ratings were for lower-end systems (makes sense!). So choose a higher-end system. It will cost more initially, but in the long run you'll make out better on both utility costs, and fewer service calls. The second, AND just as important consideration, is installation. Today's HVAC systems are a lot more complex than 30 years ago, and they need to be matched to what you will want your system to do efficiently. That's why I chose Bone Heating and Cooling to install my system. I've used Bone for quite a few years for my maintenance and repair needs, and the knowledge, workmanship and promptness of their technicians is impressive. Charlie spent a few hours taking measurements and discussing options with me (no hard sell, just the facts). The installation crew arrived within a week; the old system removed, and the new one in place in one day. They installed a new heat pump, air handler with a supplemental heating component, and a humidifier. They explained the system, and made sure everything was working properly before they left. I guess I shouldn't have expected anything less from Bone Heating and Cooling.

Description of Work: As part of our service contract, they come out twice a year and prep us for the upcoming season. This time we needed more "freon," so it cost a bit more. They also change the filter and do regular maintenance.

Description of Work: I was having intermittent problems with the gas ignition on my furnace. The technician came out and was able to clean the burners and verify that the flame ignition was working properly.
