Wonderful experience. The appointment was able to be scheduled the day following calling them. We were even contacted that the plumber was able to arrive early if we wanted. The price was nearly the same as a jack of trades handyman quoted us and we didn't have to worry if it was performed properly by a non professional. Cody the plumber was super friendly, highly skilled and cleaned up everything afterwards. I would recommend this company to anyone needing plumbing services!

My shower valve wouldn’t shut off, it had been damaged a few years ago by another contractor. I had called another plumber, whose estimate was higher, but I had to travel for work and couldn’t get another quote until the next Saturday. Precision sent over Joey, who assessed the problem and gave us a better quote, so we arranged the service later in the week. That day, Kent arrived and replaced the valve promptly and cleanly. In the meantime, we were using the basement shower, but it had an aging valve that wouldn’t provide good flow on the hot water side. Kent also looked at that one and suggested a few alternative solutions. A week later, I had Kent come back to replace that one. It was more complicated, because he had to cut into the tile wall and work in a small area. He did a quality job, and now I have 2 hot showers that work properly and look great. (Note the cost included 3 service calls and 2 installations, but I supplied the shower valve and trim kit).

I highly advise any customer not to use this Precision Plumbing, STL. The owner showed up with several workers for the bid and said he would start the following week. He pushed my job off another week and then when he said he would definitely start the next Wednesday he was a no call no show. Then he said he wanted more money than my bank draw would allow up front which made me really uncomfortable considering his track record so I worked out I would pay him $1,500 after the first day of work and $1,000 after the second day which we both agreed to. On the 1st day of work, he showed up with no workers just by himself. He started to complain immediately after getting there that he would have to charge me $500 more then the bid he gave me despite the fact he was the one who originally walked the job site and gave me the bid. He then threaten me to walk off the job and quit figuring since he had made me wait 3 weeks it would really put me in a bind and I would acquiesce to his threat. But his threat had really taken me back and backfired as I left him walk off only to have him come back 5 minutes later and asked me to reconsider his $500 upcharge. I said I would give him a $500 bonus if he got the job done within a week. He agreed then he unloaded some plastic pipes like he was going to start working and I came back a few hours later where he was just waiting in his truck. He had literally only drilled 8 holes in the floor and expected me to give him $1,500. It was becoming clear he didn't want to work he was just there to collect the check. He started complaining again asking for his check which I said he needed to finish a fulls days work. I left for an hour or so and when I came back he was still in his truck. he started to kick and scream and fast talk me like he was the victim. I am really busy and I didn't want to deal the childish behavior so I gave him the check against my better judgement. He said he needed for material for the job and he would be back on Saturday to continue his work. On saturday morning I unlocked the job site for him and left to run some errands and he called and texted me asking when I would be there. I said the door was unlocked and he could start working not to wait for me. When I arrived there an hour later he was still in his van and he asked for the signed contract and another $1,000 check which I agreed to pay him at the end of the 2nd day of work. He quickly became angry when I said he had to work and at the end of the day he would get the 2nd check. He said he needed to get material for the job which is what I gave him the initial $1,500 for the first day. Now Ive been a G.C. for over 20 years and I know when someone is trying pull a fast one. The materials for the job would cost no more than $400. He kept arguing with me and I had to ask him to leave and return my $1,500 deposit which I learned later he had cashed within 30 minutes of me giving it to him which should have been another red flag. I recently had to hire an attorney to go after his license and sue the company for the money. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

He said, "Your sump pump died. That's why you have an inch of water on your floor. Whoever installed the sump pump previously installed a cheap model. It's plastic. What I will do for you today, is get you a brand new sump pump made of steel and I will install it for you and give you a 10 year warranty. I don't remember what the charge was, but whatever it was, it was well worth it. He had a machine to suck up the water. He told me what to do to get the odor out, which I did. With all the water and the rain recently, I've never had a drop come in the house. It was just a cheap sump pump that didn't carry weight. Now, this steel sump pump worked and it carried a 10 year warranty with it. Whatever he had charged me, my wife and I would have given him a little bit more, always. He appreciated it. I said, "You came back the same day and saved my house when it flooded". He argued with me. He said, "You don't have to do this." He was embarrassed to take some extra money.

I have never in my entire life, and I have a lot of years on me, met people like this. They are humble, truly professional people that don't steal from you. I have recommended these 2 guys to people. I volunteer at an organization. I have recommended them to these people. They are great, particularly in price. What I called them over for, what they performed satisfactorily, they did a great price at a very low price, which I thought was more than reasonable. On one or two occasions, I even gave them some extra money because I knew it was worth it. I didn't want to lose them.
