The person who scheduled my appointment was very nice. The employee who came to my home was great -- he looked at the ceiling stain and then got on my roof to check all of the vents. He could not find a problem with any of the vents, but readily agreed to do a "water test" (take a hose up and run water on the vent area) when I requested it. While the water was running he checked the overall condition of my roof and gutters -- even pulled several handfuls of gunk out of the gutters. He was very thorough and nice about answering my many questions. The water test did not change the ceiling stain and he recommended I talk to a plumber regarding a possible plumbing problem. He didn't charge me as he said that he hadn't fixed anything -- but I felt very reassured having had the roof checked. Will definitely use Tesson in the future!

The salesman promptly responded to my inquiries. Although the items were on backorder, he kept me informed about the status. The shutters were installed shortly after they arrived. I am happy with the final product.

Andrew came out to give an estimate and look at what needed to be done. He suggested that I could have the fascia wrapped in aluminum and expected the cost to be “about $2,000” and said he would work with me. He also told me they would take down the gutters and put them back up which is kind of a big job but the gutters are fine. When I get the final quote it’s over $3,000 and he tells me I’ll likely need to get new gutters too because if they’re going to take them off it’s just easier- which likely would double the cost of $3,000. It felt like a bait and switch or perhaps he just didn’t know what he was talking about or didn’t want the job but none of it felt professional.

Great work and professional. Our sales professional Craig walked us through the whole process and worked through our insurance for us as we had storm damage. He also helped get other bids when our Ameran box was not up to code. He was very easy to reach with quick responses day or night. He really helped us save money and was honest and professional. The siding looks awesome and couldn’t be happier with the customer service Craig provided. Above and Beyond. Highly recommend!

Our roof was leaking and needed some work. Looked up roofers in my area and found a few. After looking at their reviews, Tesson was the obvious choice. Process was easy and painless. They sent someone out to diagnosis the issue and get me an estimate. Once we signed, someone came out to perform the work. It has rained since, and no sign of the leak. I will be calling them in the future, whenever I have exterior work that needs done. True professionals!

As homeowners we have held off writing a review about Tesson Roofing and Exteriors for a long while now while we tried very hard to manage working with a business owner who lacks communication skills, bullies his clients, and makes every attempt to side step ownership and accountability for the terrible work his employees do. TR&E was hired to remove and replace all the hip shingles, the ridge shingle, the ridge vent and to install 2 new passive vents. The passive vents were not installed correctly. They never offered to correct this. The first attempt on the shingles and vent left approx. 30-40 nail holes in our roof, across 3 ridges of our home. This was not caught by TR&E it was caught by me. The hassle I went through to get TR&E to fix this issues was out of line. All TR&E wanted to fix was one ridge line until I sent them images of damage to all three. They had to rip everything off and do it all over. When they did this, they destroyed roof deck. Again, TR&E did not want to be held accountable. We chose not to pursue them for repair as the more they were on our roof the more they were damaging our deck shingles. Let me preface this next part, they had an employee come out to fix a nail their roofer hammered in bent over and to quality check everything and he gave the job the A OK. The really ugly aggressive and bullying behavior by the owner began 3 months after install when the weather warmed up. The Ridge Vent started twisting and warping off the roof. Again, it was not TR&E who came out and figured out what was wrong it was me again. I inspected about 60% of the vent installation. The installers did not leave an expansion gap and worse than that they only installed 28 of the 90 nails required to secure the vent to the structure. After finding that on 2 of our ridges I did not even bother to check the third. As homeowners, what we were subjected to by the owner of this company regarding this issue was unbelievable. It became so bad that I had to have my husband step in. The images speak for themselves. It was a horrific experience. We are currently still left with damage to our roof that TR&E refuses to take ownership of. This company has the AUDACITY to accuse us of damaging our own roof, despite having photos that prove they did. More to come later this year. Pictures don't lie.

I got Tesson's name from my local insurance agent so I decided to get a bid from them. I was able to schedule an appointment to review the work pretty quickly and Shawn showed up as scheduled. We walked through the scope of work from the insurance estimate and then he took additional time to gather his measurements and details. A couple of days later I got a call from Shawn and another more experienced estimator from his company to discuss the bid that they were still working on. This felt like a very high pressure sales pitch in which they wanted me to sign a contract with them before I even saw their proposal so that they could negotiate directly with the insurance company to get more money from them. They were making claims that the insurance company left out significant portions of scope for the job, but when I asked them to detail those on the bid so that I could negotiate with the insurance company, they failed to follow through. I was extremely turned off by this high pressure tactic since I wasn't intimidated by working with the insurance company on the estimate as I had already been doing so. I already had other bids that were in line with the insurance estimate and was looking for 1 more to be sure all the bases were covered. If you are looking for a company to handle the job totally for you and you are happy to just sit on the sidelines and let someone else run the show and you don't have to get involved at all, they might be a good option. However, if you want to be involved in how your insurance claim is being handled then they don't seem to be a good choice. Once I eventually got their bid, it did exceed the insurance estimate, but they neglected to detail what line items they thought the insurance company missed. They only included the roof replacement and gutter repairs in their estimate. They neglected to even bid on the other parts of the insurance claim such as fascia and window screens.

They did a good job and I was really pleased with them. I would use them again.

We had hail damage this past Spring and contacted Tesson Roofing and Exteriors to do the repairs. Kevin came out and got all the information and showed us samples. He gave us helpful suggestions but didn't push us and let us make all the decisions. After making our selections we received our estimate within just a few days. The roof was completed first (in one day) and the rest of the work was started the following Monday. They stayed with it and completed the work in one week. We are very happy with the quality of the work and materials. I will not hesitate to use them on any work I need in the future.

The job was done in one day on time by roofers who were very professional. All the mess was cleaned up as they went and they checked for material and especially nails that may have escaped notice while they were doing the job. Someone came out every day for three days after the roof was finished with a big magnet to check for nails and any materials that may have been left behind. We noticed after the job was done that our roof exhaust fan was not working so we call Jim Stewart and asked if someone could come out and check to see if the fan had been turned off and not turned back on when they doing the roof. Not only did they come out to check the fan but they replaced it with a new one at no charge. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing a new roof and when we need a new one we will call Tesson Roofing first.

I would have rated this company "excellent". However, I gave them only a "good" rating because the project took, unnecessarily, too long (some of it was performed in a piecemeal fashion). Also, some minor re-work had to take place because the project details were not communicated properly to the work crew and/or the work was not done right the first time. Other-than-that, they are a professional crew, do good work & will do what they can to make it right. I would use them in the future & would refer them to friends & family providing they know the particulars.

Jim Stewart was great! When I first called, I got a prompt response. He came out to give me an estimate and answered my many questions. When I contracted with the company, he made sure he went over everything with me and worked out a date. The gutter people came when they were supposed to, and cleaned up nicely. A downspout reducer was not put on, but it it was later discovered that the order was put on the gutter guard portion of the order. The gutter guard people came out a few days later, cleaned out the gutter of the leaves which had already accumulated, and put on the reducer. Jim also had his people caulk a board that was beginning to rot on one end, and didn't charge me for it. Since I had gotten several estimates before deciding on Tesson, and a couple of them told me I needed a whole new roof, Jim checked twice to be sure that I didnt. My roof wasn't that old, so apparently the other companies were trying to scare me. Jim put my fears to rest and carefully evaluated everything.

It was great. They were very timely. The main sales guy or service guy that I dealt with gave the right information and he's just very informative and helpful. I wasn't home when they did the work but they came out the day that they said they were gonna come and they didn't leave a mess. They cleaned up about 98%. It's superior. I totally would recommend them.
