We were pleased with their service until we had another electrician check their wiring of a dimmer switch because it never really worked properly. The second electrician said it was wired all wrong and corrected the problem and now it works perfectly. Would be reluctant to call them again.

Cannot say enough good things about Stephenson Electric. Rich Howard provided my initial bid; such a fun guy. I worked with electricians daily for 3 months during a complete home renovation. Andy and Billy were professional, thorough, and easy to work with, although towards the end of the project both of these guys left the company. I wish they could have stayed throughout, but Kevin finished up and was okay, too. Any issue I had was taken care of promptly and professionally; Rich came out and oversaw the work and handled a couple of minor problems at no cost. Andy also helped on a couple of occasions to help me do other tasks in the house when I needed a hand, which was very kind. Rich made sure that the ceilings were repaired to accommodate for the can lights that I added and provided can light covers that fit better than the ones I had purchased. My two complaints : the guys regularly left a mess that my contractor had to clean up (and he complained to me, but to be fair, my contractor also left a mess each day!) and on the last day of the job, one of them left a drink on the half wall that left a ring in the new paint. Pretty minor complaints considering the huge job that they provided for me. I would definitely hire them again.

As an engineer and property developer, I have set the bar high for all contractors, specifically electrical contractors. Rich Sears with Stephenson Electric is the best electrician that I have come across and very pleasant to work with. Together he and I walked through the building identifying use, needs, functionality, and flow. This may seem insignificant to anyone that has not previously wired a home, but this is (along with the cleanliness of wiring) what sets Stephenson Electric apart. Anyone can screw a box to a wall, most can wire the outlet, but thinking 5 steps ahead about safety, efficiency, and lighting changes everything! If you are going to do something, do it right! From heated floors, to exterior safety lighting, to ambiance lighting, to protected and/or exclusive circuits. The work was performed professionally; Rich was there when he said he would be, cleaned up afterward, and had excellent communication throughout the project. The install was neat, labeled, and organized with an extreme attention to detail. The rest of the office was also pleasant to work with. Payment and paperwork was easy and thorough. Highly recommended!

I would never use them again, they over charged me. I called the Better Business Bureau and they said the company was approved by them. The service technician we actually got the quote from was no long working with the company he quit before the job was started. The new service tech was a hour early for the job, and he didn't agree with the decision that the original technician told us. After the job was completed the next day the kitchen fixtures were not working and when I called them back I was charged $100 for the service call. He said the fixtures themselves were faulty and he was not responsible for that so I had to pay additional monies for the repair. I would give them F's across the board and I will never use them again.

Rich came and figured out what was happening (we had just purchased the house and don't know alot of what is happening). Found out the house is not to code and kind of dangerous)

My overall experience was excellent. The person taking the call arranged for the service to be done on the date I asked for and when she knew that I had a lot to be done, she made sure that I had someone who could do multiple tasks and be able to stay until all of the jobs were done. She even suggested that I have a list of everything I needed done so that I did not forget anything. The electrician worked continuously and completed all jobs and discussed some other jobs that I might want done in the future. When I called, I knew that at least one socket needed to be replaced. I have 25 and he checked all 25, finding 7 that needed replacement. Also, I described the problem with my ceiling fan/light fixture. The light bulbs have a very short life. He was able to diagnose the problem and replace it with a beautiful match to by other kitchen light. I have already recommended Stephenson to a friend.

Showed up on time. Professional technician. Tested power lines feeding outdoor lighting. Removed unwanted lights. Wrapped needed tape around power lines entering house. Made a couple recommendations about things we may need to do in the future and gave estimates on their cost. No selling pressure at all...just friendly recommendations. Will use them again as long as the prices remain reasonable.

They did a very good job. This was my first time using them. They worked under some extremely hot conditions.

I called these folks when my fuse box had a problem on a Saturday night, plunging half my house into darkness and rendering my internet and TV inoperable. They came out within an hour of my call. I had to pay the emergency rate (which they explained to me before coming over), but I think that's reasonable for disturbing the electrician's life at 9 pm on a Saturday. Mike was very professional, pleasant and efficient. I was pleased with the responsiveness and service, and I would use Stephenson Electric again.

Chris arrived within a half hour of appointment time, was professional and helpful, and completed all work satisfactorily in approximately 10 hours. Left a little bit of debris behind, but the basement was a mess when he started so no real complaints.

The buyers of our old house wanted the Zinsco electrical panel replaced and the unit upgraded to a 200-amp. They arrived on time, got the work done quickly and was on the lower end of estimates we received.

They arrived on time and completed the work in a timely fashion. We have used Stephenson Electric on several properties that required electrical work and the quality has been great.

They were extremely courteous, very pleasant people. They worked steadily and completed the work in one day. It was a lot of work to do in one day. They did an excellent job. The cleaned up after themselves and I couldn't be happier with their work.

I think we were all surprised at how much work was involved in this project. Nobody realized that some of the wiring access was located on the roof or how much old wiring would need to be replaced to bring things up to code.

I have referred them to other people and they've been very happy with their work as well.

The service man had to leave to get a replacement cord for the light, and he went as quickly as he could so that he didn't have to charge me for an additional half hour. It was a terrific experience, and Ken was just really a nice, caring guy. I've used Stephenson several times over the years, and they are always wonderful.

On the day my daughter was moving into her house and the washer and dryer was being delivered, we realized we hadn't verified that there was a outlet for the dryer. I also did not have computer access to check Angie's List for a provider, so I just used the yellow pages. Luckily, I picked Stephenson's. They sent someone right away, worked around the movers and associated chaos, and got the outlet installed before the washer and dryer arrived. They were very helpful, courteous and professional. I would definitely use them again.

Mike was very professional and did not have any problem with leaving him alone while he did the job which took 4 days to complete. He cleaned up and could not even tell that he had been there. Scott the estimator was very nice and up front with me about the damage that had been done. Everyone from who answered the phones to mike who completed the job. Mike made me feel like he was taking as good of care with my house like he would his own. I am definitely going to hire this company again.

Overall good experiance, however electrician had to come back due to items on back order. It took several phone calls and about 5 weeks to get the job completed.

They were very pleasant. I can't comment on price because we did not compare. They were very prompt and followed through. They were very helpful.

Ken is very knowledgeable, dependable and does quality work. He always shows up five minutes before the scheduled time. I haven't had a problem related to any of his work. He got the work done right the first time which is very important for big projects.

I have used Stephenson Electric in the past and have been pleased with their work. On this job they again did well. They arrived on time, were generally professional, and the cost was reasonable for the job. My only complaint was that the fellow who did our basement work left numerous sunflower seeds on the floor. I think he tried to clean them up, but we continued to find more for several months afterward. A minor point considering this job took several days of work.

Electrician could not properly identify problem. Still not working after first visit. Same electrician came back for a free hour after I complained to Stephenson. Ended up spending more money for additional parts ($140) and time than I should have, but light post now works! Would hire company again, but request not to get this electrician.

The two electricians who came out were very polite and efficient in their indoor work. The wiring and installation of the exterior floods was less successful and unnecessarily elaborate in the circuitous routing of the wiring under the deck. I would recommend this company.

THEY DID A GOOD JOB, BUT I FELT IT WAS A BIT EXPENSIVE.
