Description of Work: Called St. Louis Appliance Repair to find out what was going on with my refrigerator and oven. Had an appointment scheduled the next day and they were back within the week (with the parts that had to be ordered) to fix the problems. Serviceman was knowledgable and friendly and price seemed very reasonable. Will highly recommend this company to my family and friends.

Description of Work: The company's billing practices are a complete rip off. The repairman came to our house to evaluate problems we were having on 4 different Viking appliances (2 identical dishwashers, one refridgerator, one range hood). My wife spent approximately one hour with the representative and he explained that we needed some standard filters replaced in our dishwashers, he explained how my wife was to clean the range hood and described some other minor part replacements we needed for the refridgerator. For this advice, we were charged $190 for the visit and the rep placed parts on order and prepared invoices for the install. The install was going to cost an additional $280...for what I estimate to be an additional hour or two of work...max. All told, the Company was prepared to bill me $190 for the visit and $280 for the install ($470 total) for what amounts to approximately 2-3 hours work. When I called the company to complain, I was given some weak explanation about using a national table to price services as opposed to hourly rates as most normal repair personnel use. I would highly recommend that anyone wanting to use this company assess their pricing before they engage them. You are almost guaranteed to be overcharged compared to other repair services with equal or better service records.

Description of Work: THE ELECTRONIC TOUCH PAD OR CONTROL PANEL ON MY OVEN WAS MALFUNCTIONING AND THE MINUTE MINDER WAS GOING OFF CONSTANTLY.
