Orkin Pest Control

They came and did the outside of the house but not the inside, when I was on vacation, and they billed me for the full amount and when I refused to pay the bill, because their was no service done inside the house, and still charge me the full amount, they argued with me that I signed a contract that I agreed to a quarterly service, regardless of establishing an appointment. They were very rude, and they threatened me to send me to a collection agency. So the local company was rude, but the national Headquarters agreed to wave the fees. I don't trust that the local company that they are eco-friendly & customer friendly as they claim.

Pricing was reasonable and I didn't compare rates. If you need them to come back out they come back out free of charge. Only one person came out. It took 10 to 15 minutes, and they leave the area clean.

I had an excellent experience with them. I like other members to know that they called up about the scheduled appointment based on the confirmatory email and they said they were going to be there. They did a good and thorough job.

We feel uncomfortable with the dishonest business practices of Orkin. They came out to our house when we found a live colony of termites and the previous owners left us their policy. Orkin correctly pointed out that the previous owners' policy did not apply to the garage, which is fine. They said they could install a whole new system the next day, which was a Saturday, and the price seemed fine for the amount of work. The early experience with them was mostly fine. I say "mostly" because we said we wanted to get another estimate from the place we usually use for pest control (Hometeam Pest Defense), and they said they were owned by the same parent company (true), but that we shouldn't get another quote because they were adamant that Hometeam does not do termite control (false). We called Hometeam while he was still there, and they clarified the false statement. However, Hometeam was unusually busy, and Orkin was ready to do the work the next day, and so we negotiated the price a little and went with them. The work itself was great. The technicians were professional and installed an extensive and impressive-looking system. The problems came afterwards. The salesperson told us we could make additional yearly payments for monitoring, inspection, and warranty. I was non-committal about whether we wanted to do this, at $220/year on a $1200 system. He said I could think about it later because the first year was already covered. He never pointed out there is some fine print...they are only renting you the system and you don't actually own it! If you don't make the yearly "monitoring" payments, then they come back to your home and rip the system out of the ground! When I went back to the original contract, indeed this statement was there, but it was buried in a paragraph saying they had the right to upgrade your equipment any time they wanted because you don't actually own it. We felt deceived. Another problem: For the yearly bait inspection, they had the nerve to show up unannounced on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend at 9am. When I called to ask them not to show up again unannounced, they said that they need to do all the homes in our area at the same time. I said that was fine, but they can still call first. It is professional to provide at least a warning before showing up at someone's home on a holiday weekend. Overall, we are stuck with them now, but would start over with someone else if we could do it over again.

Orkin has always offered top-notch service, courtesy phone calls to let us know they're coming, and quick responses to unusual problems like ants in the house. Have no issue with them and will continue to use.

I am happy with their work and am very impressed.

Within 24 hours of the landlord hiring Orkin, the Orkin man showed up ready to work. He immediately diagnosed problem areas and provided his recommended solutions. He had an intimate knowledge of mice behavior and identified a few problem areas which we had not previously envisioned. After the Orkin man was finished, we only had one more experience with the mice and then no more. He was very efficient with his work, cordial, and made very little disturbance even as I worked from home in the room next door. Excellent company.

I have been using them for three years. They come every two months. They come when they say are going to come. They provide courteous service. Their treatments are very effective.

They are great, and I have had no problem. If there are ants or spiders they come back every month and spray. They provide great service. After the first time I don’t see them because even if I am not here they just spray the whole outside and take care of it.

We are very happy with them. I would say they have been very good. We just have them come once a month, but you can call if you need them in between. I have them call me to remind me that they are coming and they are pretty good at that. Every now and then, they change the person who is coming, and then they kind of forget initially but they call once they get reminded. They are very good and very professional. When we have had a problem with something, they will always check to see if that is okay when they come again or if we have had any more problems with that and whatever, and if there is something new, they do a pretty good job at looking into that. We have used them for more than 20 years.

It went well. They resolved the problem successfully.

I really haven’t had any trouble with ants and bugs. About 2 – 3 years ago I had an infestation in the house and the ants got into my electrical receptacle. I had thousands in there, I was floored. They came out immediately, treated them and I haven’t had any problems since, contrary to what I see my neighbors dealing with. Whatever they use is dynamite! In all the years that I have used them I haven't had a complaint.

They were rated good and had no major complaints against them. They only spray outside the home.

I ask for the same person every year. He is just pleasant. He has been working in the company for a long time. It's a pleasant experience with him every year. He is nice to work with. All I have to do is just show him around the house and he inspects for termites. I would use them in the future.

They are good. They are punctual, do a pretty thorough job of checking the premises. We pay yearly and they come every other month.

Ron has come out every year since 2004 for the yearly inspection. He has been doing this work for years. The plan I have Orkin was transferred from the past owner of the house for a transfer fee of $175. Then the cost is $35/year.

We've been very pleased with Orkin. The one thing that had been an issue is that they kept changing service packs, but we've had the same one for about 6 months. We're happy with them.

I pay them every other month for their service. I have been using their services for at least a year now. I like that our tech, Wade is very nice. He will always call before he comes. He always seems to go above and beyond to prevent an issues that may a rise. He is very thorough with his trips. I feel comfortable when he is here and he makes sure to take in to consideration our houseshold. If there is a problem between trips he will come out as soon as possible to take care of it.

One time there were termites found in a house that was a few down from mine so I called Orkin and they did a free check for me. They also gave me an estimate on the cost if they did find any. They told me if I even find any bugs between the visits, they will come back out and spray again. They will even make Saturday appointments. I've used them for 12 to 15 years. I've really been pest free since I've used them. The above cost is per month.

Did good job. Arrived on time, left no mess.

They always call before they show up and are always on time. We always have the same service man, so he knows the layout of our home, which is nice that you don't have to show someone different around each month. We have a yearly contract and pay monthly.

I am really very happy with their quality of service! I have used them for 10 years. They are very professional and do a thorough job. They will always call us the day before they come out to remind us. They also call if they will be a little late. The technician is always cordial and polite.

They have done a great job in the past however they continue to treat for ants and the bugs are not going away. I do not like the high turnover the company has with techs and I do not like working with a different employee each visit. I am looking around for another company at the current time to replace their service. I will keep their services until then.

I still find ants and spiders shortly after they come out and spray. I have used the for 10 years but may be looking for another company to give my business to. They are always prompt and on time. They have always been responsive to my concerns. I think their price is too high for the quality of work that they provide.

They came on time and did the job well. I thought the price was probably high, but I didn't comparison shop because I needed someone right away (I was about to go away for a week). I am quite satisfied.
