Our basement walk was bowed and leaning in. After they installed the tie backs and drill thru the wall our basement start severally leaking and they would not come back and correct the problem. Our wall is straight but now our basement leaks.

Response from Atlas Foundation Solutions, LLC
Atlas never straighten this lady's wall, we installed tiebacks to stabilize the wall. This wall was poured concrete with a thick coating of stucco on the inside. We had a good rain and they were out of town and they had a leak by the tieback which after investigating, it was a crack running through that area by the tieback which was behind the stucco that we could not see. The gutter right outside the repair was also full and overflowing. Atlas offered to repair the crack and a crack on the other side that was leaking also. They choose to go through our company liability insurance immediately and not even give Atlas a chance to repair the crack or anything else. My insurance company settled with them and then told me they have claimed water damage three times through their insurance company on this same basement damage. Contractors beware of this customer.

Fantastic service. Atlas was recommended by a structural engineer that determined we needed piers done to the front of our home. We got 3 estimates and Atlas was not only the cheapest but most honest out of the 3. They came in and did what they said they would. With a 25 year warranty we are worry free for quite some time. They took great care of our landscaping and grass while doing their work too. I highly recommend them for any foundation solutions!!

We had a (finished) basement that was leaking water during heavy rain. I solicited bids from four different companies, all of which proposed to do basically the same thing. Atlas was not only the cheapest, but they also said they could do it without tearing out the drywall or installing a sump pump (they saddled the drain system onto the main sewer line and added a backflow valve -- in the city, the waste and storm sewers are combined). Mike, the owner, was very friendly and James, the team leader, was very professional and helpful. The basement has gone a year -- including through the torrential downpours of December 2015 -- without leaking. There was some persistent leaking around the egress window. They had installed a drain pipe in the bottom of it and tied it into the rest of the perimeter drain system. It has leaked a little bit, and Atlas has come out 4 different times before concluding that the rain is hitting the shoddily-installed window and leaking in. I like knowing how things work, so Mike showed me exactly what was happening and -- despite my initial uncertainty -- I'm convinced it is the window. But since they happily came out repeatedly to check out and test the issue, I'm convinced that they'll honor their 20-year warranty.

Eric did an excellent job! Applied urethane membrane to the exterior face of the foundation around the sewer line. He had to excavate 3 feet down to the line. On the interior basement wall the sewer line was sealed around the pipe with epoxy which provided a water tight seal and no more leaks.

Atlas sent out Erik who was their crack injector specialist. I explained the history of the crack and he told me what he was going to do. As he progressed he told me what he was finding which shed some light on the quality of the previous repairs. The repair took 3 hours including clean up. Erik was also knowledgeable about the likely reasons for my leaks - overflowing gutters and cracks in the patio allowing water to travel to the foundation crack. Since I have now fixed those problems with the sources of the water and I have gotten a quality crack repair I do not expect to have any more leakage. Considering their professional approach and that a full three hours of work was required, I feel that I got a super deal.
Description of Work: I had a single large crack in a foundation wall with a large amount of water coming through after most heavy rains. The outside wall was hidden by a porch and a patio and there had been two previous attempts to inject the crack. The owner came to my house and spent some time with me discussing the likely source of the water and the likelihood of being successful with epoxy injection after previous attempts failed. He was free with information and I learned some things by talking with him and later comparing his thoughts to other opinions I had received. There was no doubt about his confidence in his process and he emphasized that their work was guaranteed. His quote was so reasonable I could kick myself for not calling Atlas much sooner.

Entire process took about three hours, which included drying time before epoxy surface seal could be applied. The work area was swept and everything was put back in place (washer and dryer). Foundation cracks were small so hand tools were used instead of drills. This process went so smooth and fast I really couldn't tell if Atlas rep was in the basement. I bought my house in 1993 and the only time the foundation cracks leaked was during week-long rainy periods. Not much water came in and it flowed directly to the basement drain. But during the heavy rain we had this past December, I had a small waterfall and thankfully I happened to be in the laundry room when the water started pouring in. My basement would have had a lot of water damage in the finished area if I had not been downstairs. I didn't want to take a chance of that happening again so I called Atlas repair the cracks. Have not had a single drop of water since Atlas made the repairs.
Description of Work: Epoxy injected into two foundation cracks totaling approximately 11.10 lineal feet under two windows in unfinished basement area. Interior faces of cracks were cleaned and prepared for epoxy. Injection ports were mounted over faces of cracks on intermittent spans for injection resin access and epoxy surface seal applied over interior. Filled full length and thickness of foundation cracks with high-modulus epoxy resin under pressure to chemically weld cracks.

Animals were nesting in cavities under the stoops leading from our breakfast room and family room. We hired Atlas to fill the cavities and to level the concrete slabs on our patio. The work was done well. Holes were patched smoothly. It was a relatively small job but Atlas was professional and seems to have done the work properly. Users should note that the color of the concrete used to fill the holes does not match the aged concrete through which the holes were drilled, but that is unavoidable and does not reflect on the quality of Atlas' workmanship.

Have had tons of rain and water issues thanks to metros sewers faulty storm sewer next to my youse and thanks to Atlas we have zero water issues. Ive had contractors in the basement getting quotes on finishing and they have commented on how nice the pump was put in.

I had a major crack at the back of my finished basement in which parts of the drywall had dropped at least an inch. In addition my patio had dropped a few inches... The Atlas workers drilled 11 holes in my basement floor and pumped their concrete-like solution to raise and level various areas that had fallen. After they were done the area around the basement was close to being level, but it is close. There was only so much they could do since the area around the bathroom was near a sewer line, but they were able to raise the drywall to the ceiling.. I was surprised at the amount of solution they had to pump under the floor.. After the work was completed the workers cleaned up the area as well as their equipment.. I was impressed as well as things went.... My only complaint was due to a mix up I had to wait over 6 months (the winter months) for the project to start..

Pleased w/ the crack repair and installation of French drain, however; for the re-routing of the down spouts clean up/site leveling could have done a little better to make the ground where the PVC pipe was laid a little more even vs a mound. Upon final inspection when I asked the foreman why the ground was not level, he stated the guys that did the job left w/ the tamper. I leveled the ground myself.
Description of Work: Repair 4 x Outside Foundation Crack (dug down to foundation and sealed crack from the outside), 1 x Inside Foundation Crack (Epoxy Injection), Install a French drain on the front side of the house in a flower bed to help drain water, and re-routed downspouts from the house to drainage point behind the house.

Everyone was great, from Mike, to Michelle in the office, to the guys that did the heavy labor. I got several bids for this job, and nobody could beat Mike's price. Michelle, the office manager, was very nice, professional, and responsive in our communications. The guys were also nice, professional, punctual, and they cleaned up their messes. They even restored the landscaping to how it was (or at least the best they could considering what they had to do around the foundation). They really worked their a***s off. Hopefully I'll never have to have something like this done again, but if I did, I won't hesitate to go with Atlas. They were awesome.

His suggested method of repairing the air space was not a good idea in our estimation. I asked him if the wall was bowing and he said "no" and we were 99% positive it was. He said I would have their bid the next day or for sure the following day. It has been a month and we have not heard anything. We decided we would not bother to call or email him since there are other reviewers who have done so with lack of response.

Initially we had agreed to try mud-jacking but the results were unsatisfactory because there was a very large void under the front porch. When they determined that the mud-jacking wasn't working we agreed to install the piers. They charged me for the installation of the piers but not for the mud-jacking work they had initially done. I thought that was very fair and reasonable. They showed up on time and cleaned up the work area to what it was before they started work. I would hire them again, for sure.

The work itself was great. The president, Mike, came out and did the initial inspection himself. He and the crew who did the actual work were very polite and professional. Work was done quickly and efficiently and left just like it was before they did the work. The only knock I have is that I consistently had to follow up with the company to find out the progress of the proposal. I called the day before the work was to be done just to verify the appointment. Not necessarily something that has to be done, but it is something I expect as a courtesy. If there is anything the company can improve on, it would be responsiveness. Other than that, great work all around.

We had noticed cracks in the walls and doors not closing since last summer when it was so hot and dry. I had Atlas come out along with several other companies listed on Angie's list to get estimates. I picked Atlas because I liked the honesty of the person who came out and the price. The job I received was excellent. The crew that did the work were efficient, quiet, and cleaned up after themselves!!! The crew foreman, James Watson, was great at keeping me updated on the progress of everything and was always willing to help, even when I thought my cat got out! The whole job, which was very labor intensive, took only 4 days which I thought was amazing. I would recommend this company to anyone with confidence.

The Atlas crew did a fantastic job. They are men who dig ditches for a living, but they're also clearly craftsmen and engineers in their own right. In our case the job turned out to be more complex than planned because the piers ended up having to go very close to the gas main and sewer line. This meant that the Atlas crew had to carefully measure where the lines came into our basement and adjust their digging accordingly. I would also add that they kicked their boots off every time they came into the house. It all went perfectly and they did a great job cleaning up, so much so that apart from two tidy mounds of dirt you never would know that they were here. My wife's herb bed, which is right next to the porch, was never touched. Given the amount of man hours that went into the project, I almost feel as though they under-charged us. Without question, if you have to have someone dig up your lawn these are the guys to do it.

Ms. [removed member name], We would like to know who the engineer is that inspected your home, what engineering firm he is with, and what he is suggesting. We proposed to epoxy inject your foundation cracks, which is the typical repair, with an option for foundation piers to prevent further settlement. Please keep in mind that we inspected and submitted a proposal to you in October of 2012. If you just recently had it inspected by an engineer, there are several different things that could have happened to effect your home in that time frame which could significantly change the scope of work needed to repair your home. Please allow us the chance to reconcile this matter for do not have nor want the reputation of trying to sell our customers something they do not need. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and have a great day.

Overall: I wouldn't mind to do business with Altla in the future. Punctuality/Responsiveness: Mike arrived on time for the initial estimate, and provided rough estimate about what fixes might be needed, both recommended and optional ones. The official estimates (email and paper) came in a little bit late (about 2 weeks later, instead of a few days). I called the office and learned they had some car issues. Quality: While I decided not to use Atlas, I must say they did a REALLY GOOD job in doing the estimates. Mike not only looked at the cracks, he also measured the front porch with a level to assess any settlements. Also, the estimate they provided is the most professional in terms of thoroughness. Very impressed. Price: Their estimate is in line with other contractors.
