APPLIANCE REPAIR MASTERS

Gary was an exceptionally nice person to get along with. I felt comfortable with him although he was a complete stranger. My dogs LOVED him. He found the problem within minutes of opening the machine.

The problem was that he did not find what the problem was. My husband ended up finding it. It was just something he didn't see it when he checked it. I don't think it was necessarily wrong, he just didn't notice the problem.

Gary, the repairman, looked up the code it was flashing, put in a new valve, told me some great stories, made friends with my dogs, charged a reasonable price and made a new loyal customer for his company.

I have been an Angie's List member for years, and have used many providers with wonderful results Hands-down, my experience with Appliance Repair Masters was the most unprofessional interaction I've had with a service business from the list. I spoke with John yesterday to explain the repair we need for our Samsung dryer and also let him know I ordered the replacement part online. At that time, he told me that wasn't necessary because he had two of my parts sitting right next to him. We scheduled a time for Gary to come do the work on our dryer in 2 days. This morning, I received an email from the parts provider to let me know the part was delayed and wouldn't be available for another week. So, because John told me he had two on-hand, I called back to verify that he was sure they had the correct part for my model(because we didn't discuss the model number during the 1st call) . He was very abrupt and told me he didn't have time to look, but that Gary would probably have the right part on his truck tomorrow. I asked if Gary could verify before he comes tomorrow so as not to waste my time or his time, and John told me Gary was too busy to look too. At that point I said no worries, I'll can call another provider. John asked for my last name and zip code, and then hung up on me.

Dreading the anticipated repair cost and hassle, I finally called Appliance Repair Masters. Gary arrived on the same day, within a few hours and repaired it with a replacement kit that he had with him (no waiting for the parts and another appointment). He quoted the full price before commencing the work. It was more reasonable than I expected plus I had a savings coupon. He assured me the repair kit was reliable. He completed the job, put the fridge back together and cleaned up the area. He also rebalanced the fridge on its floor levels.

Called to ask if they could come look at my dryer. Gentleman said yes, could be here the same afternoon. When I described what was happening with the dryer, he knew right away what the probable cause was and told me that he thought he already had the part on the truck. He arrived; fixed the problem and was on his way within an hour.

The told me a repair man would call me in 2 hours and they did. He was here 15 mins later. Found the problem and was out in approx. 30 mins. Very happy with his work.

Fridge wasn't cooling. Came within 2 hours of us calling. Defroster was broken. Caused it to freeze up. Also caused it to leak.

I was extremely impressed and happy with the service provided. I appreciate when companies don't waste my time. The service man was very professional and efficient. And fixed the problem!

I was very happy with them. They did a really good job quickly. I was very, very impressed. The guy, John did it. He was quick, on time, went right to work, and worked fast. It was good. He got it done in a hurry. I don't think he overcharged me and didn't do anything else. I called his company back. He gave me his answering machine or something like call me back and said he couldn't do it and he gave me somebody else. I was looking to buy a unit and he said they don't sell, but if I want to try so I think that was when I called him. I ended up getting a washing machine from his referral.

The guy knew what he was doing but not very personable. We had to call and ask if the part ever came in we were waiting for, but as soon as the found it they came right out.

John was very friendly, had the part and was in and out very quickly. This was on a Saturday afternoon. Not many services had Sat hours so it was a bonus that this company did and it was the major reason I choose them.

John diagnosed the problem as a freon leak. Also we've been having strange brown sludge leaking from the fridge for quite some time, so he thought that it was the compressor lubricant, and that we might be looking at a new compressor soon. (I hope I got that all right). He recommended that we get a new fridge as the repair costs will be about half the price of a new fridge. I agree with him.

Arrived on time and provided an estimate to fix older microwave. Given the cost of parts, we decided that it would be better to buy a new unit. Very happy with the service and pleasant attitude of serviceman. Would recommend and will use in the future.

The appt was at 9am and the tech called to confirm that AM and arrived on time. When he arrived he walked in our kitchen and said that they did not service the brand of dishwasher that we had (when I was making the appt I was not asked make or model). He told my husband that he thought it might be something but that they did not work on that brand because they do not warranty the parts. He looked inside the dishwasher (and by look I mean opened the door and looked....no tools were used). He told us what he thought it would cost to fix (we were debating between fixing and replacing). He did say that he would make some calls and let us know what the actual cost would be....then he said, "that will $68". $68 was paid and the tech left. When I returned home from my errands and was told what happened I was furious. $68 to come in, say I don't work on those, and leave. My husband rationalized that he did say that he was going to call us and let us know prices. I was still not happy but conceded that, yes, he was going to call around and get back with us and that was his time and that justified the $68. Monday rolls around and we receive no call. Tuesday...no call. Finally on Wednesday I called the office, got VM and left a message explaining how I was not satisfied with how this was handled. Thursday morning I received a call from someone at Appliance Repair Masters and during the conversation was informed that he was the tech that had come to my house. He told me that he thoroughly looked over my dishwasher and explained what the exact issue was with my dishwasher. I told him that opening the door was not a thorough inspection AND reminded him that his first words upon seeing the dishwasher were "We don't work on that brand". He then told me that they have, in fact, worked on that brand so it wasn?t like he didn't know HOW to (not sure what that has to do with anything at this point but he felt I needed to know). I also reminded him that he said he would call us back. He said he DID call us back, a couple of times, in fact...but he didn't leave any messages (we had no missed calls). Finally I said that we were not getting anywhere and ended the call. As you can imagine, I was not happy about this at all and my first inclination was to write the exact kind of review that I am writing now. My husband actually convinced me to give contacting the company one more chance. I went to their website and sent them an email via their comments link. That was Friday...it is now Monday and I have not heard back from them via telephone or email. I would like to point out a few things before I end this. The property where the work was performed is not MY property. Friends of ours our over seas and we are taking care of it for them while they are gone. The $68 paid was not MY $68, it was theirs. This is not a matter of $$$.....it is a matter of principal. In the email that I sent to the company I told them that I understand that time in money and I would have been more than happy to pay money for service rendered....but NONE WAS. According to the tech they don't even service that brand. I would NEVER use this company again and strongly advise others don't either

John came out on 4/1 and identified the problem. He was on time and professional. He told me he would order the part and get back with me in 48 hours. He called the next day to say he was ready to fix the washing machine and we scheduled a time for the following day. He showed up on time and completed the work very timely. The washing machine works great now! It was so nice to have someone you can trust to do work in your home!!

Appliance Repair Masters came to determine what the problem was. They ordered the parts and then came back and fitted them. It was a really good experience. The guy was very nice, he came out the second time with the parts and he stayed until 6.30 at night. He came at the end of his day and worked over his time to get it fixed. I think he did really well. He had to replace the whole bottom of my dishwasher. So the price, for parts and labor, was good.

Hassle-free -- done quickly and competently.

Jon came the same day that I called to diagnose the problem. He then ordered the part and made arrangements to return. After installing the part, he checked to see if the washer was working correctly. We were not able to be there when he came - my nephew was there instead. The washer would not operate correctly - Jon thought it might be a faulty switch. When we got home, we were able to determine that the problem was with the GFCI. My husband replaced this and the washer works fine. Jon had not accepted payment for the work until we returned home and had corrected the GFCI problem and made sure the washer was working properly. We were very impressed with his work and with his desire to make sure all was well before we paid.

I contacted ARM and described the problem. John from the company came out and checked my refrigerator. Temperature had been fluctuating, I had it on #1 and was still too cold. He stated I needed a new temperature control. He stated how much it would be and I told him to go ahead and order the part. He called me when the part came in (about four days later) to set up a time to install it. He arrived on time and installed the part for the stated estimate. I have used Appliance Repair Masters previously to repair my washer. Repairman knew instantly what was wrong - had the part on his truck - repaired it and it's still working just fine. My overall experience with Appliance Repair Masters was excellent and I would use this company again.

it was easy, the price was very reasonable, they worked to accomodate my schedule. Service man arrived promptly, was very knowledgeable, completed repairs efficiently and explained everything.I would definitely recommend this company to friends and family.

We had two household appliances breakdown relatively close to each other.After they did such a great job fixing the first one, they were the people we called to fix second appliance.We were delighted with their work each time

I called Appliance Repair Masters first thing in the morning and they said they could come by the same day. I explained the problem and he thought it was probably a clog in the water line. I told them I could make it home by 4:15. They were at my house by 4:30. Sure enough, it was exactly what he thought. He took care of it in 10 minutes. He was very nice and easy to work with. I'll use them again.

They do house calls. I think I paid $145 in the job. They were very easy to get a hold of. If I need a repair, they will mostly come out on the same day or the next day. They always send the same guy. He is very knowledgeable and he can fix the problem quickly. I would use them again in the future.

The water dispenser on the refrigerator door was leaking and the dishwasher was not doing it's job. Gary made repairs and restored the two appliances to good working condition. I have used the services of this company many times before. They have fixed 2 of my ovens , washer and the microwave handle over the years. They have always been professional and have done the job competently. I highly recommend this business for their punctuality and professionalism. I will continue to use their service as needed since I have never had a problem with their workmanship.
