Description of Work: Purchased a Refridgerator. The first was defective. They were happy to exchange it for another more expensive brand. The second delivery was unsatisfactory. They broke a shelf, did not level it and did not install the kick plate. Now I am waiting a 3rd time for a service tech to come take care of the problems. Having to empty it a 3rd time and this lasting 3 weeks is unsatisfactory!@

They were very nice. Their sales man was vary good. I compared the prices to a few other companies and they were by far the cheapest that was available. I would use them again.
Description of Work: I ordered a refrigerator, stove, washer and dryer, dishwasher, and microwave.

The sales people were friendly and not pushy. The furniture was what I was looking for with my budget. They have a great selection if you are trying to match new furniture with old. I would purchase furniture there again. The delivery people kept their promise to call me a half an hour before my furniture delivery, so I missed very little work. The furniture set up/delivery was free. The workers were friendly and got the job done.
Description of Work: We purchased a bedroom set, mattress and box spring for our guest bedroom. We also found a new bed that matched our master bedroom set and a small TV stand for our flat screen TV.

The appliances were delivered within the window of time American confirmed the day prior. The delivery men were very helpful and careful when moving my old things out and the new things in. Within a few days after delivery I received both a phone call and thank you letter from my salesperson. Great job!
Description of Work: We were remodeling our kitchen and needed a new refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, and microwave. I didn't know exactly what I wanted and decided to stop by American to get some ideas. I was so expressed with the salesperson who helped me, Arletta Schluter, that I decided to make my purchase at that time without looking elsewhere. She was by far the most knowledgeable appliance sales person I've ever dealt with. Arletta made choosing the appliances easy because she was able to point out new features that may be of interest to me and explain the advantages of one brand over the other. I never felt rushed or pressured to buy. It was a VERY positive experience.

I was pleased with the experience with the company. We purchased the stove, we had to wait a couple of weeks to be ordered and delivered. This company will take your old appliance away when they deliver the new one.
Description of Work: I purchased a stainless steel Frigidaire free standing electric range. I purchased a three year service agreement as well.

They also delivered the appliances, and we discovered they were too large. They came back out and picked them back up. They were supposed to have the charge credited back to our charge card, but we received a letter a few months later that they had a store credit issued for us that lost $5 per month. When I called them to ask them why they hadn't credited our charge card, they explained that that was their policy. They did go ahead and refund the amount to our credit card eventually.
Description of Work: We went there and bought a washer and dryer.

We went back to follow up on whether or not this TV had been discounted further to take advantage of their price guarantee. Within five days there was a considerable discount, and we had an almost impossible time getting them to honor the company policy.
Description of Work: We purchased a large screen high definition TV from this company. They were difficult to work with once we had made our purchase and extremely uncooperative in honoring their lowest price guarantee.
