Description of Work: My husband was home, and he said the piano move went "smooth as silk." Total time actually moving the piano was probably less than 10 minutes; it was moved from our home to our daughter's just a few miles away. Cost: $175.00. Two gentlemen did the move and had all the necessary equipment so all went very efficiently.

Description of Work: We used A Piano's Friend to move a piano from my Aunt's house to ours a few months ago. They were prompt, professional, and courteous. Per their recommendation, we waited a couple of months to let the piano adjust to its new location before having it tuned. They offered a nice discount for the tuning service, so we used them for that as well. Their second visit to our home was as pleasant as the first. The piano tuner arrived on time and answered all my wife's questions with patience and professionalism.

He provided us with thorough explanations of the repair options and reasons for those options for our piano, as well as, follow-on repair ideas to help with costs and quality of our piano. Stephan did a wonderful job with our tune-up and it was extremely nice to hear him play our piano as he went through the tuning process, as this is our first and quot;realand quot; piano. We have planned our follow-on service and very pleased with the service Stephan provided and the sound of our nicely tuned piano!!

Description of Work: They came and moved a piano I had bought from my basement to the first floor of my house. They helped remove and reinstall the sliding screen doors on the double doors to facilitate the move and put the coasters on the wheels of the piano to protect the floor.

We needed to have pipes underneath the slab replaced and the work was to begin in four days. I contacted him by email and within a few hours, the date and time for the move was set. The movers arrived in the time frame promised and completed the move professionally and courteously. I will use them again.

 + -1 moreWe moved to a brand new home recently. We closed on the home we sold on the same day that we closed on the new house. That meant of course that we had to have everything packed ahead of time including the piano. Fortunately we had the help of three friends to get the piano out of the old house. That was a short move done at the three friends' convenience. The piano sat in our garage for three weeks while I anguished over various plans to get the piano to the lower level. Even renting equipment seeming daunting with the prospect of traversing grassy/muddy areas. I saw Steve's listing on Angie's list and noted that they were a local company with a good rating. I called, they responded promptly with a reasonable price and before the day was out the job was done. They even gave me a coupon for a reduced price tuning. Working with the folks at A Piano's Friend relieved my worry and cleared my garage. Soon I'll be able to play again.
Description of Work: They moved a piano from my garage around the outside of my house to the rear lower level door. They traveled approximately 200 feet and also over about 50 feet of rough terrain to get the piano to the desired location.

 + -1 morePiano turinig scheduled for 9AM. Received call from technician's wife at 8:45 to cancel appointment. I took a vacation day from work to be home for this appointment, and receiving a cancellation notice 15 minutes before the scheduled appointment is unacceptable. Since I had to reschedule, I requested an evening or weekend appointment as I cannot use another vacation day for this service. This request was denied. I used this piano company to move a piano, and they were excellent. I expected the same level of service for tuning, and I am extremely disappointed in the lack of courtesy in advance notification of the cancellation and unwillingness to accommodate my request.
Description of Work: Piano tuning was scheduled, but never performed due to technician's last minute cancellation.
