+ -1 moreSpoke with Dan Merideth on 10/2 to arrange a date to evaluate running a phone and dsl line into my office. I knew it we were pretty far from where he lives, but he assured me that he needed the work and would make the trip. Dan called back later that evening to confirm a 7pm appointment on 10/8. My family and I had plans at that time, but it was the earliest he could come out and he would need to travel quite a distance to get out here, so we felt it only right to rearrange our schedule to accomodate his. Dan never showed up, never called or anything. Obviously not professional and I would not recommend him.

+ -1 moreDMD provided an excellent knowledgeable service, very efficient with good attention to detail. The St Louis county electrical inspector was impressed with solution provided with Manual switch box for back-up generator. In my previous house, Dan helped install 5 fluorescent lights in the basement (customer provided), of which four of them were faulty before installation. Dan stayed and helped re-install all four after Home Depot provided replacements at no extra cost.
Description of Work: Replaced fuse panel. Installed external generator socket with an internal manual switch box. Re-wiring two remodelled bathrooms, including recessed lights, exterior ventilation fan, CGI sockets and electric towel warmer on timer.

+ 0 moreAccording to the final AT&T technician who resolved the problem, Dan had not connected a filter correctly which led to the problem. I am not entirely sure who was right and who was wrong. The original phone company technician (AT&T) was a disaster. The final phone company technician appeared much more competent. My conclusion is that the original installation was flawed, that Dan did a good job but did not understand the special filter used to carry both telco and Internet on the same inbound wire. At the same time, Dan was gracious in coming back to help bring the matter to resolution.
Description of Work: Had phone company confirm service connect, but needed to resolve interior wiring issues. After work was complete, phone service worked but Internet/Cable did not work. All service came in on one line. Dan came back, graciously, to determine cause of failure. According to Dan, the service problem was due to original wiring issue by phone company. Called in Phone company.

Description of Work: Contacted dmd Electric and was immediately made to feel as though my problem was their problem. I had been experiencing intermittent electrical problems in my basement and garage, and had 2 other electricians out prior to being referred to dmd. Upon arrival, (on time; actually 10 min early), Dan informed me of his standard service call price and said he could probably find the problem within the 2 hour minimum. ( I had my doubts, as the 2 previous electricians had no success and still charged me over $100.00 each!) Amazingly, Dan had the problem fixed in the first 1/2 hour (WOW!). HE ALSO INFORMED ME OF SOME PROBLEM AREAS THAT NO ONE ELSE HAD MENTIONED. I proceeded to have these trouble areas corrected, too. After about 5 hours, Dan informed me that he was done and submitted his invoice documenting the work he performed and the material and labor. An exceptional experience with a home repair project!
