DONE RIGHT DRYWALL

They were professional. Tommy had a problem with just little things that he needed to come back and do. When he came back, I don't think he did a very good job doing what he told me he was going to do. I have pullouts underneath my cook top where I keep my pots and pans. I think he did a miserable job. I told him that I would have been more than happy to pay for the cabinets to make sure that everything matched and he said that it would work fine. It's very heavy and very awkward for me to pull out. It took him 5 months to get everything done. He always told me that it would have been easier to do a brand new house than what it would be to do for an existing house.

We had purchased a new modular home. After it was set up, the person who was sub-contracted to do the interior drywall finishing and painting had done a horrible job: joints were still showing, textured finish was sloppily done. Cracks had not been filled in the walls or ceilings. It was a new home, but the interior walls looked like a rental house that someone had paid cheap labor to refinish and repair. Not only that, but there was overspray and paint slopped around everywhere--on the windows, mirrors, light fixtures, even on the carpets, where he also left us a cigarette burn. After talking to several contractors and getting estimates/consultations on what it would take to 'fix' the problems, we hired Tom at Done Right. From the start, he was very honest about what could he could and couldn't do for us. (His advice on what needed to be done turned out later to be 'spot on'.) His was not the lowest priced bid we received, but it was reasonable, and during the process of talking to all the contractors, we just 'felt' he was someone who understood what we wanted and that he could be trusted. Well, the name of his company says it all. He came in, quickly shrouded everything in plastic and tarps, repaired all the bad areas of drywall (having to reinstall some panels), textured, and repainted the walls (even though he said he was not a very good painter, lol, we thought he did great!) Plus, when he wasn't pleased with the way one of the colors turned out on the dining room wall--and thought I wouldn't like it either--he drove to the hardware store himself, picked up some different shades of paint and 'swatched' them so I could see and decide for myself if it was indeed the color I wanted. In summary, we felt he went above and beyond what we expected, and overall, did a very excellent job. Tom was very professional, friendly, courteous and helpful throughout the entire process. He also did a thorough job afterward of cleaning up. In fact, we were so pleased, we even hired him to do some other extra jobs such as installing an electrical outlet and a faucet outside. And, after hearing me speak of needing more storage space inside the kitchen, he planned out and built me a pantry. My husband and I are very happy with Tom's work and would highly recommend him.
