Window World

My windows -- original to the house -- were extremely drafty, and all of the screens had disappeared due to the neglect the house endured while it was a rental property. I decided it was time to replace all the windows with something a bit more efficient and take advantage of some tax credits in the process. Window World was the last of five companies to bid out the job, and they definitely offered the best value. Window World's bid ranged from $800 to $8,000 lower than competitors' bids. The installation was scheduled about a week in advance. The installers arrived around 10 a.m. and had finished everything but the exterior trim by 4 p.m., which isn't too bad considering the temperature only reached 13 degrees that day, and there was probably four inches of snow on the ground. The installation team returned the next morning and finished the job without disrupting my schedule one bit. The windows are great, the price was unbeatable, and I'm a fairly happy customer. I do have some complaints, though: 1. One of the windows does not lock correctly. However, when I found this out, I called my sales rep, who personally came over and attempted to fix it. He partially fixed the problem, and promised to have someone come over soon to replace the lock. 2. One of the installers bent a railing on my porch. I think he may have been sitting on it or using it for leverage to wrestle a HUGE window out of its frame. When my sales rep came over, he also promised to have that fixed soon. 3. The installers were very friendly, but they left a bit of a mess. I realize that some amount of mess is inevitable, but there was still a fair amount of debris along the side of the house after the clean-up was completed. Overall, though, I am happy with the results.

W.W. is very professional. From the first phone call to ask for an estimate, to the final installation, everything went perfectly. We love the look of our new vinyl windows in our basement. Remember, all windows are guaranteed for the life of the window, no matter the cause of the breakage.

They completed the installation in one day with 3 people. The old windows were harder to remove than they expected, but no real issues. They did a walk-through with me at the end to be sure everything was satisfactory, but both of us forgot to check the laundry room where that window did not get calked on the inside. I had to call them back out and they took care of it within a week. They cleaned up everything, were very polite and professional. By the end of the day they were getting pretty tired and I think that led to a couple of the windows having the caulking not quite an "A" level as most were, so I will give a "B" to quality only on that point and missing the window in the laundry room. The hardest part for us was removing all the blinds, brackets, and window treatments before they came and then reinstalling them.

Window World was great! No pressure sales, good follow through after the order was placed, and their installers were exceptional. In fact, the lead installer found my wallet in the street where I had accidentally dropped it (two hours earlier) and brought it to me completely intact! Whew! Great workmanship and completely honest too!! We love our new window wall and will use Window World again when we replace the other windows in our home.

The work interaction was fine. It was what I expected, but no more.

We were very impressed with our sales person from the beginning. He was a very no pressure, just the facts type of sales person which was very refreshing after having consulted with other high pressure contractors. It took approximately 5 weeks from the date of contract until installation. There were a few hiccups on the day of install which I will describe however despite these occurrences, in all I am very satisfied with Window World and would recommend them. We were supposed to have 3 installers in order to complete the job in one day but we ended up having only 1 which ended stretching the job over two days certainly inconvenient. Upon arrival the installer did not have one of the windows we ordered nor did he have the correct door - not his fault, there was a mix-up at the office. However the correct door and window were furnished and installed on the second day. I feel that the installer did a very good job, took his time, took pride in his work, was professional, and cleaned up after himself. Again, despite the mix-ups I am overall very pleased with service I received from Window World.

Salesman was great, knowledgable but not at all pushy. Installation went exactly as scheduled and completed the job in a single day. Lead free removal took some paint off interior walls but was well advised of this in advance. Installation staff was on time and courteous. New windows look and work very good. All exterior debris removed and did a good job cleaning up inside near the new windows. Caulking around windows could have been a little better but all in all a very good job and I would recommend them.

very smoothly from the meet and greet with Jason Squires, the salesperson, to the installation with two highly professional workers. two weeks following the installation the company invited us to a "focus group" to ask us about our experience with them to improve their process...and we were compensated for our time. it was a great experience with a great company.

We quoted 3 companies to install our windows. Window world has the best cost, and warranty for the price. They installed the windows in 2008. They were wonderful, completed the job in about 3 days. Before installation, I did play phone tag with the lady at the front desk to set up an installation date. However, that is much my fault as it is hers. They cleaned up most of there mess. The only thing left behind was small metal tubes about an inch and half long. We were pleased with the windows, and their performance, so we qouted them and two other companies to do our siding in 2009. Again, they were the cheapest, and gave us an additional discount, since they installed the windows as well. It took about 4 days for the siding. It is beautiful. and has held up to some monsterous winds we have had in 2010. They cleaned up most of the mess, except the small pieces. They even left caulk, so when we installed out garage door, and put the new trim around it, the caulk would match.

They did make a mistake, but they fixed-it. Overall, I was very happy with them and they had a very reasonable price.

A good experience overall. Sales presentation was very "no pressure"...especially compared to other bids, had a senior installer visit to confirm measurements prior to placing order, installers were quick, curteous, and did a great job. Very pleased with the decision. Plan to use them in future to replace remaining windows.

Obtained several estimates and decided on Window World based on price and Angie's List ratings as well as neighbors' recommendations. Installation of windows was OK but they did not vacuum around windows and we found several loose screws inside and outside the house. The Completion Certificate List sheet asks if windows had been wiped down and if drop clothes were used during the installation. Neither was the case in our installation. When asked about the windows being wiped down to remove smudges the crew chief said that item should not be on the form and only applied to the casing not the window. It was like buying a new car but having it unwashed when you picked it up. We had an issue with the our plantation shutters not aligning with the windows after the installation. Window World should have pointed out that we needed oriel style windows like we had if we wanted the shutters to allign. It looked really bad but Window World stepped up to the plate and replaced the windows with oriel style with me paying only the increased cost of that style window which we would have done from the beginning had we none the shutter panels would not align with the windows. I credit their customer responsiveness to this important issue. Picture window and one more window had a cut in the glass that we noticed after they were installed. Window World has replaced the picture window and is going to replace the other window as well as replace some trim although a time for that has not been set up as yet.

They did exactly as promised from start to finish.

went well. the day of the install was snowy but the installers showed up. installers were indifferent about tracking snow in the house. They did get all windows installed but there were some problems with some sashes. Due to that fact, the installers didn't ask for payment but rather turned the matter over to the office. They were very responsive and professional. They did not ask for final payment until they were sure we were 100% satisfied.

All 9 windows were installed within a matter of hours in a clean professional manner. We are quite pleased with the improved curb appeal and added interior clean appearance as opposed to the original aluminum windows. The time frame from order to installation took about three weeks.

Only minor adjustment required which was taken care of by technician who had to return to install the marble sills. Customer sales rep was extremely informative and helpful.

I first visited a WW showroom to check on the quality of a $189 window (having paid close to $375 to another company for a comparable window installed last year) , and was impressed with the construction and mechanics of the WW window. The salesman who came to my home was extremely knowledgeable, and was upfront about the cost of extras that I wanted: frosted glass on one window,custom exterior trim around all windows, and casement and "slider" windows on 4 of the 17 installed. The four-man crew that came to do the work was a well-oiled machine: they arrived (as promised) at 8 a.m, and were finished at 1p.m.! I had expected the work to take AT LEAST two days.They were speedy and meticulous - taking care, for example, to preserve and replace my existing wood trim. One hitch in the whole process: I wanted one window to be shorter than the existing opening to accommodate a counter that will be installed under that window, and apparantly I .did not communicate that clearly to the salesman: had I looked at the form he left with me - detailing each measurement - I would have seen the error. And that same window (a casement window) hinged opposite from what I was expecting. I now know that the terms "hinge right" and "hinge left" assume that one's perspective is from OUTSIDE the house, not inside! When I talked with a representative of Window World this morning, he told me they would replace that window at no cost to me, even though I believe I am largely responsible for the error. Would I use this company again and recommend them to friends? YES and YES!

Super. The salesperson was prompt, courtious, professional and knowlegable. Also, no pressure. I explained that I wanted cost effecient, windows for a rental property and he bid just what I asked for and explained the product and installation. His bids were much lower than some and abou the same as others. I chose them because of Angies List ratings. Installation went really well. The installers were professional and easy to work with. They got everything done and cleaned up in one day.

They were great and gave us an estimate. They came and did the initial measurement and told us how it works. They came back for the second measurement to make things sure. It took them about 2 hours for the entire deal. We had some problem with a window a month later, so we called them. They came over and fixed it for free. We liked them and would use them again in future.

They were great. They were quick in doing their job. They were in and out in 1 day. They cleaned up after themselves. They sent me the bill afterwards. I don?t have any complaints about them.

The personnel at Window World were very professional and courteous. The salesperson, Keith, was on time to provide a free estimate with no high pressure sale. He explained everything and answered all our questions. He provided photos of completed jobs in our neighborhood. The installer, Daryl, was on time and did a great job. I would recommend them for your next window replacement.

They have phenomenal service. I highly recommend Window World to anyone needing windows.

They did a great job. They were the only company that followed up with me. They were right on target. I will use them again in the future and have already recommended them to others.

They came out and measured the windows to give me an estimate. I agreed to the job. They told me it would be about three weeks before everything would be in and ready, but it only took about a week and a half. When they came to do the job it only took them about 4 hours. They did a good job and cleaned up when they were finished. I am happy.

We had estimates from bunch of companies and they were all over the place in terms of cost. We even had one for $27,000! I couldn't believe it. We got wind of this place from a friend of a friend and the estimate was much lower then the others so we moved forward. The windows turned out amazing and the service was great. They were prompt and the whole project from start to finish only lasted a few weeks. The only negative from the whole experience was the lack of detail during cleanup. Since we are remodeling our whole house, I'm not sure if they didn't think it was a big deal but there was a good amount of broken glass both inside and outside from the old windows. Kind of a pain in the behind but whatever since the cost was so low.
