Description of Work: We scheduled an appointment with ADT for a home security review and quote on a security system. However, ADT failed to show up without any sort of notification either before or after the scheduled appointment. We called the regional manager who indicated that the individual scheduled to provide the review and quote had resigned. We reluctantly re-scheduled for the following week. | |The sales rep that arrived did provide a few good suggestions as to our security needs. However, he also made a few off-color jokes that offended both my wife and mother. | |Another ADT sales rep (unsolicited) showed up at my home a few days later and seemed totally unaware that we had already spoken with and had received a quote from ADT. | |We received a follow-up call from the regional manager stating that they would give an extra $100 discount off the price of the system due to the failure to show up for a scheduled appointment. I was pleased to see that they made the effort to "make it right". | |ADT clearly has some internal communication issues, along with a questionable choice of representatives in their employment. Given that there was more than one concern with our experience with ADT, we decided to pursue other options.

Description of Work: They installed an entire system, including door and window monitors and motion detectors on all levels of the house and garage. The installer arrived on time and did a commendable job.

Description of Work: The initial meeting was good.They came out explained what they offered. I explained what I needed, we agreed on a service date and I paid by check. The service date came, the installer didn't have the correct information for what I was having done. They tried to charge me more for the service I thought I had already paid for. It took some arguing on the phone to get the service I thought I had paid for, but eventually it was settled. The installer had to call two more technian out to complete the job, then he was called to another job. The installers complained about the company in earshot. They advertise cameras, phone monitoring and computer monitoring, when none of that service was covered under my $1200.00. They don't tell you that you have to have a I-phone for that service. I had a smart phone, and they couldn't explain how the service worked. The monitors are constantly falling of the doors, and windows. They have been here three times for repairs, in fact two days after the last visit three more monitors have fallen off. I'm so aggravated I've taped them to the door. Their phone customer service is terrible, and the placement of their panel they installed and suggested were it should be, can be seen from the outside of my home.
