Pro Mole & Wildlife Control

I contacted Pro Mole and Wildlife Control at the beginning of August 2022 due to an ongoing mouse problem at our home. The owner, John Stringer came to the house for an initial inspection in August 2nd. He did a brief observation of the interior and exterior where we had concerns and pointed out areas where mice may be entering. He wrote up a contract and we agreed to 2 part service to start. He set traps in a couple areas and told me to contact him with further mouse sightings or if we caught any in the traps. Then he would follow up in "about 2 weeks" to seal off the potential entrances once we had no more sightings. I texted him multiple times, called and left voicemail, and sent email with zero response. I paid upfront for the full contract, but never had the second part fulfilled or any response or contact with the company despite repeated effort. We ended up sealing spots ourselves but still have occasional mouse issues.

Disappointing dishonest rip-off experience with Mr. Stringer. I paid him $100 for a one year mole trapping contract upfront at the end of 2021. He claimed he trapped one mole at the beginning of 2022 for which I also paid him an additional $50 promptly per his contract, then he & his traps completely disappeared 8 months ago. The mole(s) returned this summer & chewed through my buried internet cable throwing out my wifi for a week. I've spent the last 2 months calling, texting, emailing & even snail-mailing John to come back out & honor the one year contract we both signed for which I'd pre-paid him. I feel like such a sucker that I fell for this con artist who took my $150 then disappeared. Since Pro Mole & Wildlife Control is listed on the BBB, I filed a complaint with them after I exhausted every possible avenue to allow John Stringer to honor his own contract this year. Interesting & odd that most of the Angie's List reviews are positive, because my awful experience with this business is reflected with other ProMole clients who pre-paid for his services before John went awol on them too who have posted their bad experiences on other forums (Google, Yelp, FB, BBB, Ladue Community Connect, etc). Buyer Beware!

We recently had some strange sounds in the ceiling at night. You could tell it was an animal of some kind. Because we had used them the last couple of years for moles, we called Pro Mole & Wildlife Control to see if they could help. They responded immediately and found we had a raccoon who forced its way into our attic through the soffit on one of our dormers. They were able to quickly trap the raccoon and assist in relocating it, as well as repair the damages done in getting in through our soffit. They were prompt, efficient, effective and extremely professional through the process as well as fairly priced. Would highly recommend them.

The first part of the project went well. However, after 2 weeks I had to keep callinig him to finish the job. It took 9 weeks from the beginning to the end, and we never caught a single raccoon. To be fair, because he didn't catch anything, he lowered the price on the trapping. I liked him, he was incredibly busy and did not call to finish the work until I called him. Be prepared to wait.

Pro Mole was excellent. They came out the day after I called them and installed traps. Each time the traps triggered I called them and they reset the traps within 24 hours.

Tech was professional and on time. They were able to get to us within a few days of calling.

The guy came up and set up the trap capturing two animals keep trying to leave the trap their indefinitely to capture more animals and therefore get paid more. He didn't even have the trap aimed at where the raccoon had entered my home. Also, he promised to repair the whole which was five fee for an extra charge but did not repair the entire hole. I suspect this was done in the hopes that the animals would return and he could charge me more. I think he was trying to put his kids through college using my money. I would not hire him in the future. I paid him anyway because I honor my debts although I wish I had not.

Owner was on time for our appointment, incredibly kind, hard-working, professional and really knows his stuff! I would highly recommend this company! He figured out where mice were entering our attic and suggested a plan for controlling them. Well done.

Pro Mole was hired in late January 2019 because a squirrel was chewing through ceder attic vents in the front and both sides of my home. John's helper placed screens over the vents to prevent squirrels entering. A week or so later it became clear a squirrel was getting into my attic. Pro Mole came back and located where the squirrel was getting in which was next to a roof vent. John said once the squirrel was trapped a cover could be placed over the vent to keep squirrels out. In early February, with the use of a hook ladder John placed two squirrel traps on my roof next to the vent and said to give him a call when the squirrel was trapped. A week or so later a squirrel was trapped and I called John and left a message the squirrel was trapped. John did not return my call. Since then I have repeatedly called and emailed John asking that he call me .To date, June 14 2019, I have received no response. The hook ladder and squirrel traps are still on my roof.

I contacted several contractors before hiring Pro-Mole. Price and knowledge were major factors in my decision. John was professional, efficient, and courteous. He has a wealth of information regarding not only possums but other wildlife as well. He and Dave took their time and made sure they trapped all of the possums. The barrier they installed is neat and functional. They practice humane removal. John maintained contact throughout the entire process. And the service was affordable! I am very pleased with Pro-Mole and the work they did!

Wonderful. I would recommend these guys to anyone that has unwanted wildlife. Quoted a very reasonable price and that is what they charged. They found all of the places where the squirrels were getting in, removed the squirrels and repaired the entry points to avoid future problems.

John was intelligent and knew not only the animals but their habits. He caught a skunk, a raccoon and a groundhog. I was quite pleased to hire such a competent person.

We requested mole removal service. The owner returned my call and was friendly and explained the terms and services. Someone came out to set the traps. As he was walking around the yard my wife heard him on his phone say, "I didn't catch anything all last year." Concern. Traps are set and no one comes to check them for weeks. I call to ask for a check and they report a mole was caught. We pay the $50. No carcass shown to us. Oddly, the mole problem persists. Yard continues to be torn up. I call and ask them to come out more frequently on 3 more occasions and someone comes out to check. It seems like he just places the traps and hopes. With moles, you need to continue assessing and moving the trap if it's been days because you probably didn't set it in the right area. Eventually, I'm frustrated with the service and leave a frustrated message, pleading that they check more often. The service man comes the next day, removes the traps as my wife is watching. No mole is removed. Nothing is communicated to my wife who is outside watching him. Then later that afternoon we see as sticky note (the bill) saying a mole was caught! And the mole problem persists. I called 3 times, a couple days apart, to complain about the situation and ask why the traps had been removed even though we paid the prior amount and our contract was for 1 year. No response after 3 attempts / messages. I even explained that if I did not hear from him I would post a poor review on Angie's list. So here I am. I'm not sure what the disconnect is. We are in a nice neighborhood and paid for the service - yet no service. Perhaps they noted my wife's English is not perfect so they thought they could get away with this? That no one would find out? Think again. Next stop is BBB. Now, I know that the servicer has the opportunity to reply (and I don't think I'll be able to respond to his response). To be clear, they did not attempt to contact me. We honored our terms of service and paid on time. We were never rude or hostile. It is so unfathomable that he can stop returning calls once we paid money. If you ever use a mole service, walk the service man to the traps and insist to see the carcass before paying a fee. No body, no money.

John caught some of the big flying bugs and showed me they were just big harmless beetles! What a relief!!

John and Dave are very friendly and professional. They show up when they say they will be there. Dave set out 5 traps and caught 1 mole that was doing a lot of damage to both sides of my yard. Already recommended Pro Mole to neighbors. Good people.

They put out a trap and within a month they caught 1. Haven't had any new mole activity since.

They have always done their work with utmost thoroughness. We have been able to count on them to show up when they say and communicate promptly. Prices have always been very fair. I trust this company and would highly recommend this company for any of your mole or other wildlife issues.

It went well for several years. John was paid every time he came. He just stopped returning calls. We left multiple messages asking when he would come back for the routine pest control. We were on a 60 day schedule. I finally had to find a different provider. It was really odd. We thought something had happened to him. But we see on Facebook he is still providing the service. Just strange.

Pro Mole came the same day I called them, and within two weeks had all of the animals removed and their entrances to the house blocked. They also repaired damage to lead cladding on the vent pipes caused by squirrels and provided a warrantee on all of their work.

Pro Mole responded on the same day I called, inspected the roof and found the entry points, then and set live traps. One raccoon was trapped the first day. Access holes were covered with cardboard but no further entry was observed. Pro Mole also cleared debris from roof and gutters and repaired squirrel damage to the lead plumbing vents. I have hired a carpenter (a different contractor) to repair the entry holes.
