They did a fantastic job!! We had a huge job to be done and most contractors would not take it on. We have a sunroom off the second story of our home and due to poor workmanship of the builder plus blasting going on across the road from us the room started to tear away from our home. We were told by many contractors not to go out into the room because it was dangerous. The windows and door would not open at all. not to mention it is on a high hill. The Mark Hicks Team came and completely took care of this. They did such an amazing job and now we can use our room again without fear of it coming down and are able to open the windows and door. They were a true Blessing to us! We would highly recommend them!!

He's been great so far. He came on-time for the appointment and was respectful, professional and courteous of my property. I also liked the ideas he brought up for the project and that he didn't try to up-sell me.

The crew which was usually 2 guys were very professional and respectful to our requests. I took pictures on a daily basis just to see the progress. These guys were here on time and never took breaks other than lunch. The results were more than we expected. We were on a wait list for about 3 months but it was well worth it. Thank you Mark Hicks and the guys who gave us a beautiful deck.

Provided quick response with visit to property and estimate. Took 8 weeks to get on schedule to perform work. Originally ordered incorrect material; did not provide samples to view as provided in estimate, so I had to find a local dealer to view color options to give my choice. Installed deck skirt, which was very unprofessional looking (jagged corners, edges not flush, spaces between new board and existing floor board). Plus replaced a board that was not part of the deck skirt, which looked awful, since it did not match in color. Requested someone look at it before any payment would be made. Owner's son, who is also the lead contractor, agreed with my assessment and promised to make it right. Had issues corrected, as well as removing board installed in error and replaced with same board that had been there (since it should not have been replaced). Final work product was done very well, just frustrated that the quality of the original work was unacceptable and it took so long to get completed.

I texted Mark about two weeks ago and I have yet to get a response.

Mark Hicks was very responsive and reworked his bid at our request. We ended up going with a different bid based on the warranty time. Mark offered a 1-year warranty. We ended up with a 2-year warranty.

Service went very well. He was very professional, experienced and knowledgeable. They were expensive but they were very open explaining what it will cost upfront. So we knew before we got into it what it will cost. The new wood needed to be treated in 6 months and again we knew that there will be an additional cost.

Very knowledgeable, experienced gentleman who came and stained my deck. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

Work started well, then the tractor used to p/u large rocks broke some of these rocks. I no longer wanted to use the damaged rocks but owner decided to use and convince us of their repair use. Also, the grass did not grow under tree but contractor refused to reseed w/ the appropriate form of grass seed.

Rather impersonal process. Did not want to meet, rather drop by and give estimate. Follow up phone call from an office assistant. Quote was double the two other quotes we received. The two other companies have impeccable ratings as well so I felt it was apples-to-apples. Due to impersonal process, I did not feel compelled to call and tell them no.

Mark was great. Said his conscience wouldn't let him recommend starting over, the old deck was in too good shape. Gave me a good, fair price on the repairs which I accepted. His son did the carpentry repairs and then the entire deck was cleaned and sealed. Excellent work, excellent service. Couldn't be happier.

Overall my wife and I are happy with the services provided. Mark was very responsive and quick to respond throughout the whole process, and the estimate he gave for the job was fair. The job did start and was completed within the approximate time frame we were given from the beginning, and we did not have to pay any money for the project until it was totally completed. I would consider using Mark again for any other work we need in the future because he is very easy to do business with. We did have a few hiccups throughout the process, but Mark and his foreman very quick to respond and to our concerns to make it right. After they painted the deck, my wife and I noticed about 5-6 areas that missed paint. The color we chose was similar to the original color so I do understand how mistakes were made, but based on how much was missed it felt like they may not have done a walk through after they thought they were finished. We also had a pond underneath our deck, and it was littered with paint scraps from the power washing. I called Mark with my concerns and he answered the phone right away. He told me he would come out to the house with his foreman first thing the next morning to do a walk through with me so I could address my concerns. They apologized for the spots that were missing paint, and came prepared to paint any unfinished areas. They also drained and cleaned my pond without question. Mark also would not accept payment from me until all of my concerns were addressed, which was very comforting. Although we had concerns with the service just after our deck was painted, Mark took our concerns seriously and wasted no time in responding. I don't think any of my calls ever went to Mark's voicemail, and he was not confrontational. Overall I would recommend using this contractor.

I am very impressed and pleased with the service of Mark Hicks, LLC. They came out for an estimate right away and gave me a fair price for their work. The quality of work was excellent and the employees were great to work with. I am looking forward to using them again.

Mr. Hicks replied to us right away & came out & gave us a bid for repairs that we needed done on our home. Yesterday Mr. Hicks came out & power washed our home & did a great job! He was very friendly & service matched the original bid he did. Will use his services again

I contacted Mark, explaining that I wanted to restore my wooden deck so that it would look more attractive to potential buyers. We also wanted some worn floor boards on the deck to be replaced or repaired so that they would pass muster with home inspectors. Mark promptly visited and provided a detailed written, itemized quote. We were able to review various options related to washing, staining, and/or replacing the deck flooring, railing, surrounding wooden fences, etc. We selected two of these services to be performed (see the "What did the provider do?" field). Mark performed these services promptly, as weather conditions allowed. The services were performed as expected, and the deck looks great. Incidentally, we also received an offer to buy our condo within 30 days of it being put on the market. Mark's communication was prompt, clear, and professional throughout. After the services were performed, he was also prompt to provide a paid receipt and lien waiver, that I requested to provide to a title company in connection with the sale of the home. While not directly related to the services provided, Mark also sent a holiday card to us. In addition to wishing us well, the card mentioned charities that his business supports. We were pleased with the service, and we are in the process of getting a quote from Mark to perform some additional work that was requested by our home inspector. We would recommend him to others.

Mark was very responsive from the beginning. He returned my calls, came out to bid right away and got the bid to me as promised. He was willing to work with me to adjust the scope a little to lower the price. He held firm and refused modifications that he thought would end up causing the job to not be done well in order to protect the quality. He estimated how long before they could start. Then he called me and they were able to start a couple of days sooner. The crew did a nice job. The deck looks great and seems like it will hold up well. The crew had a little attitude of 'I have to do this or I will get in trouble', but I didn't mind it because it meant they did a really good job.

We have a 16x16 deck that is 12 or 13 years old. They solidified our posts, replaced a few boards and did an excellent job staining. We were really pleased with them. He gave me two possible prices, 1 if they had to replace a post and another in case they didn't have to. I was expecting the higher estimate to be what I would have to pay based on past experiences with contractors, but they ended up not having to replace the post.

Mark and his team showed up early every morning and worked steadily throughout the day. The crew was friendly and professional. They tore down the existing deck and replaced with a wood deck, our preference. The entire project was completed in about 4 days. I would not hesitate to use Mark and his team again, and highly recommend him.

The guys from Mark Hicks were great. They were very precise and consistent. They had a builder crew and a painter crew. When they were done, Mark came out and checked the work and found some parts that were not good and he had them come back and redo some things. It was awesome.

Our 25 year old cedar deck was in need of major repair due to weathering and carpenter ants. We had several companies bid the job with each contractor unable to give an exact estimate since the structural portions of the deck were not visible. Mark Hick's carpenters were on site within a week of awarding the contract. They found major damage in the structural framework, and provided us with immediate suggestions and cost. Despite the unforeseen carpentry work required, they finished the job in a timely manner by working overtime and the weekend at no extra cost. We were most impressed with their and quot;littleand quot; finishing touches that made the entire deck look like new. We will definitely be hiring them in the future for deck staining and any other home repair jobs we might have. They are an extremely professional company eager to ensure the satisfaction of their customers.
