+ -1 moreFauth Appliance technician first checked cooktop to determine what problems there were. Found on/off switch inoperative for left rear burner. Operative burner flames were partially yellow, and burner starters continued to click after burners were lit. All burners were thoroughly wire brushed which returned the three operable burners to the appropriate flame. The cooktop was then removed from the counter top and disassembled. All components were inspected and parts needed were determined. When the technician called to see if parts were available for the 17 year old unit, he was told that parts were not available. The technician did all that it was possible for him to do to, but the cooktop is not repairable.
Description of Work: After a small propane explosion incident, insurance company wanted to know it the cooktop was repairable or not. Called Fauth Appliance and they came out promptly at the requested appointment day and time to evaluate the cooktop. We had used Fauth Appliance a couple of ears ago when we had a problem with our microwave. The unit was removed, taken to their facility, repaired, returned, and reinstalled. Unit has worked flawlessly since. Service was outstanding.
